I played the original Mario vs DK game and it was really good. My only problem with the remake is that it removes a lot of the cruelty that was in the original game. Like in the original game after you beat the final boss, DK would get electrocuted by red electricity and let out the most bloodcurdling scream you’ve ever heard. That was cut from the remake as well as Mario and the toads laughing at how stupid DK is and the toads pushing DK off a building. Mario also doesn’t narrate the credits anymore. The remake just feels a lot more sanitized and removes a lot of the personality The original game had even if it could be on the edgy side
How come you didn’t talk about Mini Mario & Friends: amiibo Challenge? It doesn’t have the classic Mario vs Donkey Kong name, but it is still part of the series
Funfact, the original Mario vs donkey Kong game controls were actually based on the controls of Donkey Kong (1994) for the original Gameboy

I noticed that and I agree it is a little disappointing. The funny and gruesome parts of the original are not a thing anymore
