  • Learn how to program the new Modlite Multi-mode head to unlock its full potential in this tutorial. I'll demonstrate how to activate the 15% admin mode by tapping the tailcap 12 times. After the 12th tap, fully depress the tailcap and the light will blink, indicating it has entered multi-mode. Now you can access full power with 1 tap and 15% with 2 taps.
The full power mode runtime is identical to standard Modlite heads like the PLHv2 and OKW. The 15% mode is perfect for administrative tasks or finding keys in the dark. Currently, the multimode heads are available for handheld lights and standalone heads. Weapon-mounted lights still come with single-mode heads.
These heads are dual-fuel compatible. In 18650 bodies you can use 2 CR123s. For 18350 bodies, rechargeable 18350 batteries are required as a single CR123 won't work.

I have the smaller one and it can use a single 123A battery.

Is there any chance of getting into the programming mode by accident? Or do those 12 taps have to be in very close succession?

      Very close succession.

@@BigTexOrdnance Good deal. The prompt reply typifies why you guys are my favorite retailer.
Would you be confident enough in the minimal risk of an inadvertent switch to high/low to select it for duty use? Or am I better off with a high only head?

Is this based on the OKW or PLHV2?
