I'm old enough to remember when 440C was a "super steel." It's still a good user steel that's easily maintained in the field.
It is a GREAT steel!!!! This knife performed!!!

I got a new CRKT M40 with a deadbolt lock and veff serrations. It's awesome.... This knife looks like my BK16 that I had to strip, buy micarta handle scales and a kydex sheeth. It's 1095 so idk how it compares to 440 but I edc'd that knife for 10yrs at work and it was a perfect "jack of all trades, master of none" tool. I still have it, it's just looking rough now a days.

just put a punch in the rivet and give it a tap so the cone pushes it out a bit,dont overdo it
