Having flea market items bought out from the order could be fixed by adding an 'acceptable % difference in price' option. Balancing necessary UI improvements with map expansions, weapons, etc. We have currently two HUGE map expansions (one being a whole new map) on the horizon and I cannot even imagine how much time went into developing these, but for me personally UI and UX improvements would be more valuable. That little ui you made up at 5:40 is incredible actually, I'd love that, and im sure loads of people would. Adding new features while keeping the old ones for the Vets that are familiar with them is always positive

Thank You for making this. Don't stop experimenting, keep on animating, programming, and creating. It pays of hard.
Great ideas Veritas. Thanks for taking the time to put this all together in an easy to swallow package. These are all killer ideas. Would love to hear/see more on how Battlestate could make it an even better game. Big Props.
I really like the idea of the full loadout presets, but what absolutely blew me away was the pre-raid menu changes you suggested. I hate healing when I first leave a raid when it’ll cost less right before I actually go in. Ugh! Great work as always
I just wanna say my entire outlook on you as a content creator and a person has change much for the better over the last year. It is so refreshing to see someone wanting to have an intellectual conversation about something they are passionate for. Please keep up all the great work you are doing!

I've always felt this way towards pre raid gear checks and having a loadout feature. Spending so much time in my stash sometimes that I end up going on my scav again before taking out the good stuff. The quick sell feature is also a great idea. Keep those suggestions coming I love listening to what you have to propose and compare it to how I think that feature might work.
I believe you are genuinely one of the most thoughtful content creators for this game and honestly you bring to mind things that ive never really thought of the ideas you bring up are genuinely amazing and i wish that alot of the things you bring up were just instantly brought into the game because they would make the game that much more fun and enjoyable for the community
Great suggestions, especially on the selling UI thingy. Changing or adding UI elements to give room to better functions may not be the flashiest of things, but anyone who toyed around in the UI design space knows that a good UI is one that doesn't spark attention. If a UI element or a menu doesn't get noticed but does its job, it's a good design since you are not supposed to notice it, you are supposed to use it with ease
Great video, especially enjoyed the idea of being able to minimize the annoyance of haggling with dealers and flee markets for the best deal, and the idea of guns or full load outs being built without having to actually be present in the stash. Would love to hear more of your ideas!
Dude... A whole other level of content. No matter what happens to Tarkov over the next decade, I think you could have an amazing career in Game/UI Consulting.
Veritas, you are the perfect person to bring this up. your background and experience are exactly what is required to be heard by the programers not the big devs but the people that will be doing the work at BSG. Keep it up one of the best things Tarkov can have is someone like you fighting for a positive change. Thanks for your effort and keep it up my man!!!!
Thank you for diving into depth on problems not only tarkov has but also various games throughout the years have. Thank you for taking time to be thorough with your vast yet simplified ideas. Thank you for addressing only a couple issues in a video and giving some ideas and feedback for how to fix them that include being easy for developers to fix. I get headaches just for the click and drags involved in mag packing.
@@theshanamaster well I'm 1 of the people who doesn't like the presets. I like the randomness of putting together what I have in my stash. With presets, the game will come to a state where people only run most efficient kits (weapons and gears) only. Still I do have some weapon preset when I feel like bringing something meta or a fav build. This is my first wipe but I've been playing a lot so I know what goes where in my stash so to put together a kit takes me less than a minute. Funny that you said people who's not wanting this presets have bad organisation skill because all the people that I know who wants this feature takes more than 10 minutes to put together a kit
A lot of people have suggested unnecesarry or okay features for tarkov, but that quick sell feature is the best suggestion i've heard and now I really want that in the game. Lets just hope that Nikita sees this video cuz I need that.
I still feel "time loss" when playing Tarkov.. I dont understand what is the point of the game? Why bother going through the gameplay loop? Why am I not rebuilding the military chain of command of my characters faction? Why is the base gameplay loop consisting of me killing people on sight with no knowledge of them, or their mission? Why does this game go through such lengths to simulate modern warefare, yet in action, emulates a pvp mindset more akin to call of duty with 10x the wait between games?? Like.. i dont understand how people dont feel that time loss. We're all just rolling around in hamster balls that dont go anywhere, hoping to smack each other hard enough to set each other back 5 games of profit as soon as we see each other.. At some point someone has to ask why we're not going forward, right?
Rebuilding your faction's military chain of command actually sounds like a fantastic concept and would add massively to an 'end-game' gameplay loop that doesn't feel like wasting time.
I don't play FPS games that much anymore.. I can play Planetside 2 though, because the game gives you so much context even without words and a tutorial. The sense of comradery made between allies of your faction, and even individuals of other factions when tables have turned, in the social networking via game mechanics being influenced by player input narrative is staggering, its unlike any other multiplayer fps i've played. Gonna be real honest. The entire reason why I bought Tarkov was because I read the Lore and thought "yo that sounds dope as heck" So its kinda frekkin weird how im just shooting every other BEAR on sight.. Meanwhile everyone else is like "well yeah thats the game", so now IM THE CRAZY ONE.. .. .. *Confused Travolta meme* *confused sweating*

One thing I want to praise is how much thought there is in a video like this. The Loadout Preset option would absolutely take a lot less pain out of dying for sure. The less time I spend in the menus, which don't always work as well as I'd like anyways, the better. I honestly hate having to buy things I'll always need over and over again before every raid. Great video.
great ideas, well laid out and thoughtful. love the idea of the repair, insure, heal screen. also the save loadout feature would be great. im constantly waiting on squadmates to gear up and its annoying if you only have 1-2 hours to play.

great video and suggestions from a great mind! also dreaming about locking favorite crafting deals on top of stations in hideout. my favorites are always on bottom half of list. and for every item you filter-by-item and buys, you jumps up the list again. plus an easy "buy all missing items" button on crafting deals.
Hell yeah! These are changes that I've been wanting too. Your implementation feels very well thought out to me! Fingers crossed that BSG does something in this vein someday.

Great ideas! I'm all for streamlining and improving various aspects of the game, I'm sure stuff like this will help BSG in their design process. It's undeniable that some areas of the UI could use some love and attention right now.
I would also like to add that the frustration from dying isn't directed at the person that kills you. Its more directed at yourself, because you know now you have to go back to the stash and spend 10 minutes building a new loadout and new gun. A feature like you talk about above would be AWESOME
I think personally this is the single best tarkov video to ever be uploaded. Awesome video. Also it shows in my style of tarkov(I would rather play scav then pmc just because it’s 4ish clicks into the raid) that if these features came I would be so happy.
Already presented loadout presets on forums some years ago :), with flea market and availability of items things get complicated. But way you showed it would work fine with some tuning here and there. - as offer to sell exist, offer to buy should be present as well for items not unlocked at traders or even for items unlocked. For example for certain Scope you put buy offer for some price or any lower based on flea market and limited pieces. If anyone will try to sell it, he check traders, flea market and buy offers and he can sell it directly to you, or if such scope appears on flea market and will match your buy offer it will be sold to you ( some queue would be necessary for same offers ) - creating loadout preset or just simple equiping with clicking on avatar slot ( chest for example ) and tab will appear with available items from inventory / traders / flea / insurance mail - items from preset not available from traders or inventory would make you still need inventory to pile up some resources anyway ( buy offer will help with keeping necessary parts ) Any of theese options you showed could be locked behind quests / trader reputation / hideout function ( like hiring a scav butler, feeding him with ISKRA lunchboxes or money and he will be managing flea market offers for you or keeping production of items in hideout countinuously running ). Just anything what make you click less between raids would help and locking it behind some achievment would make new players learn it anyway.
Amazing Video! I’ve been thinking about this as well but the end I’ve come to is, that the majority of players would end up using one or two presets only and alot of parts and guns would never get used... something like the pk06 which got extremely overused. Please make more videos!
Love this idea. Two suggestions. One: the shopping cart item hold timer be set to 10-15 seconds to keep people from filling a backpack with water filters and putting 20 filters on hold or something. The skier fee would also help with this. Two: durability minimum. Armors from fence or flea could be 1/1 or 0/60. The player should be able to tell the game that they want to have 100% max durability with down to 85% durability remaining or 85% to 85% to cut costs or 100 to 100 to maximize survivability sacrificing roubles, etc.
Thank you very much for all the work and thoughtfulness you put into your videos, I've learned a lot from them. I like all the ideas in this video, they would make things simpler and easier to get back into the fray, for sure. I definitely would love to hear more of your ideas. Take care Veritas.
The nice thing about the loadout thing is that you can essentially make a basic loadout with meds, armour, etc. And then decide what gun you want as well
These are great ideas. I have personally been advocating to my friends about a "locker", as I call it, idea. Where it would be some sort of case or stash item where you could put together 4 or something sets for use later. Everything you would need, meds, grenades', gun, ammo, backpack, etc. It would make life so much better instead of having to die, go back and take a deep breath while I build a new gun, buy the meds / grenades I am missing, look around for helmet and headphones, find my facial covers etc. The loadout looks like just a much better form of my idea. Great stuff man, I think this would make the game much more fun. I kinda already do this loadout thing by getting a big bag and just filling it with everything i'd need. I have a few of these pre-built kits always laying around but at the cost of a great deal of space in my stash.
I totally support your ideas. Maybee in addition a lightweight "manage loadout preset" dialog is required, where user can rename, preview and delete presets. Keep it up!
An extremely simple QoL change BSG can make with the flea market is remove the confirmation box that pops up when something you've tried to purchase is no longer available. The Flea market page should automatically refresh and just give a simple unobtrusive notification (or sound effect, icon popup, etc that closes by itself) that doesn't require 2 extra clicks (clicking 'Ok' on the confirmation box and then clicking refresh which sometimes doesn't happen automatically it seems) to make another attempt at a purchase. Also when you right click and filter by an item, that item should become "selected" in the sell screen automatically... or no item should be selected at all by default, instead of the current behavior where it seems to almost randomly select an item in your stash.
Another important component to add the loadout preset feature would be to set minimum acceptable durability for all consumable/destructible items, each defaulting to 100%. This would prevent you from ending up with a cracked face shield, 8/8 Gzhel, and a 3/400 Salewa.

Gotta say this points out people that actually design vs what BSG have been doing all along. Well thought out, and it would be silly if Nikita didn't listen to what you're saying here.
I would bet most of this stuff is already on their list. The community cries for content over quality of life improvements.
@@djchemical I personally think this is one of their greatest issues. Balancing necessary UI improvements with map expansions, weapons, etc. We have currently two HUGE map expansions (one being a whole new map) on the horizon and I cannot even imagine how much time went into developing these, but for me personally UI and UX improvements would be more valuable. Of course the community has differing opinions on these matters ^^
@@Shoopsta While I agree, you must remember that there are different teams for each thing. A team for maps. A team for UI/UX. So, it's unfiar to just say they should spend more time on UI than maps. A map builder isn't a UI builder. Two seperate knowledge bases.
@@Jim.456 Sure, I absolutely agree. But there is a reason the teams are built as they are. There was an intent behind the allocation of resources.
I just don't agree with the weighting of their priorities.
i say with a bit fine tuning "YES!!" to every figgety-fucking thing mentioned in this video. great concept.
The selling feature would be amazing. I currently forfeit profit and sell everything to mechanic/therapist to avoid the frustrations you describe. Please continue with more of these types of videos.
your ideas are incredible .. it sounds like tarkov heaven
This was brought up on reddit literally 2 days ago. Content farming.
shlop shlop
@@mriitters So you think Veritas saw this on reddit and made a video in less than two days? He talked about working on this video two weeks ago. Not to mention that these ideas are not new, but he is putting in effort to outline a solid way to implement the ideas.
I would absolutely love to see these suggestions in game. It would save so much time. Dying wouldn't feel so bad if you could gear up again with just a few clicks.
i agree but i thing the thing that feels the worst isnt time wasted gearing up but the price tag!
@@zacharybray6200 by the end of the day, it's just pixels
dying in this game should feel bad, this is the whole point
@@emirilyasov2972 but it shouldn't feel bad because you have to navigate menus for 15 minutes before getting back in a raid.
@@zacharybray6200 takes me 2 min, idk why u take so long
Amazing analysis.. I can already picture how much more I'd love this game if it had features like this
I love all the suggestions. I'm a casual player, and after a long workday i sometimes don't even start the game up, just because of all the steps and decisions i have to make berfore i can load in to get clapped after 2 minutes in raid.
This is so true.
That little ui you made up at 5:40 is incredible actually, I'd love that, and im sure loads of people would. Adding new features while keeping the old ones for the Vets that are familiar with them is always positive
This is the best content on youtube, objectively. Your pacing is perfect, i've been watching your content for a long while--you have always experimented with your pacing, ranging from long documentaries to fast-paced-montage--Let me tell you, this is perfect. Thank You for making this. Don't stop experimenting, keep on animating, programming, and creating. It pays of hard.
I am just amazed how much affort you put into making those videos. Its just incredible and you truly deserve a bigger audience.
You've just made me so excited for a patch that doesn't even exist... goddamn it haha!
TRUE°!
Great ideas Veritas. Thanks for taking the time to put this all together in an easy to swallow package. These are all killer ideas. Would love to hear/see more on how Battlestate could make it an even better game. Big Props.
Holy crap Veritas...This is incredible work.
I love the change of traders...Therapist should heal..skier should repair and prapors insurance team forever.
I really like the idea of the full loadout presets, but what absolutely blew me away was the pre-raid menu changes you suggested. I hate healing when I first leave a raid when it’ll cost less right before I actually go in. Ugh! Great work as always
I've wanted this feature for the longest time. You captured many peoples thoughts beautifully. Nicely done.
I just wanna say my entire outlook on you as a content creator and a person has change much for the better over the last year. It is so refreshing to see someone wanting to have an intellectual conversation about something they are passionate for. Please keep up all the great work you are doing!
The quick sell thing would be fucking amazing, and the design looks good too. Loadouts for quests sounds like it would be cool too, these are awesome ideas
Love how you've got the lick running in the background. Awesome!
this would literally be a god send
Man u'r just plucking the ideas out of my mind and making them 100x better than i could've ever imagined. This is the reason why i watch every single video of yours. Always great content.
These ideas will actually help casuals with limited time the most. Good stuff!
I've always felt this way towards pre raid gear checks and having a loadout feature. Spending so much time in my stash sometimes that I end up going on my scav again before taking out the good stuff. The quick sell feature is also a great idea. Keep those suggestions coming I love listening to what you have to propose and compare it to how I think that feature might work.
i wish nikita would just hire you as consultant coder already
you think beritas is the only fkn genius in the whole world who thought of that?
I have been posting about Tarkov not having a preset feature for gear - not just for guns. Great in depth video.
Veritas is out here literally doing unpaid labor for the game. We are lucky to have you.
Underrated comment. He is literally doing gods work and we don’t deserve him.
Here here!
Jesus christ I need that quick sell menu yesterday.
Oh my god I never thought this is what Tarkov needed! Nice work Veritas!
Great video, especially enjoyed the idea of being able to minimize the annoyance of haggling with dealers and flee markets for the best deal, and the idea of guns or full load outs being built without having to actually be present in the stash. Would love to hear more of your ideas!
I really like the idea of building a base load-out and choosing weapons later
Dude... A whole other level of content.
No matter what happens to Tarkov over the next decade, I think you could have an amazing career in Game/UI Consulting.
These suggestions are fantastic, the "shopping cart" idea is great, have no idea how it's not in the game already. Nice job.
lol lvndmarks shopping cart
Veritas, you are the perfect person to bring this up. your background and experience are exactly what is required to be heard by the programers not the big devs but the people that will be doing the work at BSG. Keep it up one of the best things Tarkov can have is someone like you fighting for a positive change. Thanks for your effort and keep it up my man!!!!
Always good content agree with everything you said hope your dream (now mine too and so many others) becomes possible
"bRo, tHiS Is a hArDCoRe gAmE. sToP MAkInG tHe gAmE eAsiEr!" 🤣🤣🤣
People like that probably don't have good organization skills lol
@@edhirxtrastrange can't call that randomness of putting together a gear kit when you're as highly organized as you claim
A lot of people have suggested unnecesarry or okay features for tarkov, but that quick sell feature is the best suggestion i've heard and now I really want that in the game.
Lets just hope that Nikita sees this video cuz I need that.
poggers, saw some of this video in the making, i watched about 10 seconds and i'm sure it's great as always
This is actually amazing, I've gotten much more out of this video than I expected.
Excellent work Veritas!
At some point someone has to ask why we're not going forward, right?
preach on, sir.
The entire reason why I bought Tarkov was because I read the Lore and thought "yo that sounds dope as heck"
So its kinda frekkin weird how im just shooting every other BEAR on sight..
Meanwhile everyone else is like "well yeah thats the game", so now IM THE CRAZY ONE..

Awesome and useful design! I really hope BSG listens and gets at least half of the stuff in the game! This was really well put together and presented.
Yes! Such well thought out designs, thank you for your hard work V!
Veritas is awesome, i was thinking about stuff like this for an animated video, but having experience in UI sure gives a nice boost and makes a lot of sense! Good ideas!
This could be one of the best tarkov in depth videos. The amount of effort is unreal. Thanks for what you do for the community
I love the ideas man! Thanks! I like the ideas. Ironically I spend more of my time out of raids as it is right now, but not out of being forced, but rather because I am afraid to go on raid again and lose my stuff.
Sounds like a pretty amazing idea, the little UI designs you had throughout the video looked really good too! Props to whoever put em together!
Props for making this Veritas. I really hope your ideas make an impact on BSG because its clear you're passionate about this game and I think the community feels very optimistic about these recommendations should they come to fruition.
One thing I want to praise is how much thought there is in a video like this. Sure these features would save a metric sh8t ton of time, but this commentary is amazingly thoughtful and I really appreciate your effort in getting things to the best possible state in Tarkov while still maintaining the vision for the finished game
tyvm! Would it surprise you if I said I have another 12 pages or so of items, use-cases, and considerations that I eventually cut from the video? 🙃
@@VeritasGames amazing work was done and it shows in the video, wasn't surprised tho :) I am working as an analyst myself, albeit first line of tech support and I share similar mindset so I can help somehow would love to participate in the thought process
Man youre legendary! The work you put in into your videos is unmatched! Im waiting since years for these features and now finally i feel there is a chance they might come if they let you help them out!
24:29 : I LOVE this. Just add a close cross button at the top right to exit the game and you get the perfect All-in-one main screen. Thanks Veritas for this argumentation and great video, as usual.
100% agree with not only these suggestions, but their suggested implementations. Would be a huge QOL improvement for time spent outside of raids!
Can't thumbs this up enough, I have wanted each of these features for years. I was so happy when they did weapon presets, I thought they would have gone the extra mile to implement all of these.
I've been watching your yt videos for a few months now and I think they should hire you, you have great ideas and the way you explain them is easy to understand. I understand that after going into details or the engineering process it would get more complex but your ideas are genuinely for the betterment of the game. ( Sorry, english is not my first language, I hope you will understand it ). Keep up the great content and have a nice day !
Videos like these are what make me appreciate the mind of @Veritas more and more and more.. keep goin veritas!
Its easy enough to have ideas on how to make a game better but its refreshing to have someone with proper experience to actually have actionable input. I'm no programmer but i can appreciate the immense difficulty that comes with changing this or changing that. Keep it up. Im curious about what other ideas you have.
This community/Game would be less without you in it ! I love your content and ur mindset . Keep up the work
It still blows my mind how dedicated you are to the craft Veritas. Time and time again you come up with amazing ideas and good input for this game and the community. These are some prime ideas my dude. Nakita could stand to gain a lot of valuable information from watching this video.
Been watching you work on some of these. Quality stuff, good food for thought!
Oiii it's kelpactual from the halfps channel good to see ya here!
great video and suggestions from a great mind! also dreaming about locking favorite crafting deals on top of stations in hideout. my favorites are always on bottom half of list. and for every item you filter-by-item and buys, you jumps up the list again. plus an easy "buy all missing items" button on crafting deals.
I have to admit before watching I was sceptical, but after seeing how it can be done I must say hats off my dude this is really good
Well thought out and greatly explained as always. BSG need to listen to this and the community needs to get on board. Great video V!
Hell yeah! These are changes that I've been wanting too. Your implementation feels very well thought out to me! Fingers crossed that BSG does something in this vein someday.
Haven't watched yet but the level of quality and depth your videos provide is why I subbed. Iv learned more about games and how they work behind the scenes with net code then ever before. I apperichate the time and dedication you put into your work man. Also I need help getting a ledx....
Great ideas! I'm all for streamlining and improving various aspects of the game, I'm sure stuff like this will help BSG in their design process. It's undeniable that some areas of the UI could use some love and attention right now.
GREAT ideas man, would love to see stuff like this make it into the game. love to hear more of your ideas as well, keep it up man. love your content!
I clipped that 2 ledx gpu Raid in stream lol chat was happy to see you smile you got some real fans man 🖤
I would also like to add that the frustration from dying isn't directed at the person that kills you.
Great Ideas with absolutely top of the line show-case. Veritas you are insane
Great ideas V! Always well thought out and explained in detail. All of these ideas would be amazing!
If anyone will try to sell it, he check traders, flea market and buy offers and he can sell it directly to you, or if such scope appears on flea market and will match your buy offer it will be sold to you ( some queue would be necessary for same offers )
- creating loadout preset or just simple equiping with clicking on avatar slot ( chest for example ) and tab will appear with available items from inventory / traders / flea / insurance mail
- items from preset not available from traders or inventory would make you still need inventory to pile up some resources anyway ( buy offer will help with keeping necessary parts )
Any of theese options you showed could be locked behind quests / trader reputation / hideout function ( like hiring a scav butler, feeding him with ISKRA lunchboxes or money and he will be managing flea market offers for you or keeping production of items in hideout countinuously running ). Just anything what make you click less between raids would help and locking it behind some achievment would make new players learn it anyway.
Wow massive undertaking and well thought out. Thanks interesting as always.
Dude!, yes! These are some really cool idea’s and would help a ton with time management! Freaking love the vids you make and keep doing what you do!
And then decide what gun you want as well
wow good job, this inspires me to approach different ideas or changes at work in a completely different way thanks.
Nikita better cash you out for these ideas! I think the game needs them DEARLY and I really hope they listen.
You have such a calm voice it's comforting!
Another great video as always, Veritas just doesn't miss when it comes to tarkov content
Another important component to add the loadout preset feature would be to set minimum acceptable durability for all consumable/destructible items, each defaulting to 100%. This would prevent you from ending up with a cracked face shield, 8/8 Gzhel, and a 3/400 Salewa.
