These mini documentaries have quickly become my favorite Pokémon content to come out recently. All your hard work is paying off as these are absolutely amazing!
Another superb video. I didn't know much about the origins of this deck, which became such a powerhouse shortly thereafter. as always, I love the glimpses of old and very diverse metas.
I'm too new to the game to understand what is like to play an early sun and moon format with Zoroark-GX legal and people not actually using it. Crazy stuff.
i came first place a whole tun of times at my local league with zoroark gx during the sun and moon days. it was a really good card! i was also a big fan of its ability, which reminded me of Dark Kadabra, which had the same ability. a card printed in Wizard of the Coasts Team Rocket expansion. the 4th ever TCG expansion. sadly, no one ever used Dark Kadabra back in those days. not when you have bill and professor oak to draw cards, and supporter cards didn't exist back then, so you could discard your hand and draw 7 cards with Oak, 4 TIMES in a single turn!!!
These are so goood! I find it really interesting because I started playing way past those formats, it looks dope and definitely better than standard right now. Keep up the good work 😸
After seeing Tord do well with this I picked up the deck and it became my most successful tournament runs ive ever had in this game still to this day its my favourite deck of all time
the amount of lore on this event lmao wasn’t this also when we saw “brokenvoir” make its debut 😭 every known player got a DM with the most busted gardevoir list yet seen, but then not many people played it because it wasn’t really a secret after that

In the stream era for pokemon it's been a great tldr for my non pokemon friends that play card games to help them understand what older metagames were like. Especially this one. I didn't realize how deep the thought process went for Tord to make that Zoro deck. Was broken down into perfect details.

God the mid sun and moon format was so cool, there were so many interesting decks and it may be the last time we ever see TWO stage 2s decks be top tier hhaa. Also convinced this format is the reason we havent seen a dce print in all this time, even now its been nerfed haah
