- Due to popular demand, we're back in the new year with some more a capella stuff - this time tackling 3 of my favorite Third Eye Blind Songs. Semi Charmed Life and Never Let You Go definitely speak for themselves, but I wanted to spotlight a slightly lesser known song for the last slot in this video:
Faster - The opening track from "Out Of The Vein", one of my favorite track 1's ever. The stuttering guitars get me hype every time, and then the percussion comes in slowly with the bass and it all culminates in the giant first half-chorus. Great arrangement, cool band, love live 3EB.

I enjoy Alex's solo projects too. Alex's country albums, and then there's Alexx doing blink songs, and we can't forget about Ahlex, and his gospel covers!
The one Alex was obviously carrying the group though. He had more talent than the rest of them put together.

I think I finally have to admit that the late 90s post-grunge genre might be my favorite. It just took a dude and four of his best buds to do a capella.
I absolutely ADORE Faster, as well as the entire Out of the Vein album. I'd pay real money for a full a capella version of Faster.

I love the second verse "they sky was gold it was rose i was taking sips of it through my nose" the synchronization of the vocals and the rhythm are incredible on that part, hits so hard

A capella is harder to arrange than most people probably realize. I was in a group in college. Great job on these!
I did a capella in highschool and college and wish I had 5-6 disconnected Alex heads to help me understand arranging better, bc we came with everything on the spot.

Super excellent. Out of the Vein is such an underrated album. "My Hit and Run" is probably my favorite TEB song besides the Slow Motion version with the words.

Out of the Vein is a CRIMINALLY underrated album. For my money, it captures just as much of their sound and energy as the self titled, even better than Blue.

As someone who always sings backup vocals to songs, and always loved being second or third flute in college wind ensemble, I love these a capella videos! I can really get into all the harmonies.
