They work well with a witch. There’s a cheap item familiar’s choker in that region that lets the witch buff the wizard magic attack by 50% for -50% of her own so you can spike their damage.
1. Run Auch with an archer with flame arrows. 2. Have them both to prioritize highest HP. (so that something survives and is burning) 3. Have Fire Burst prioritize burning. 4. ???? 5. Profit!
I like wizards as offensive assist units much like clerics. But unlike clerics they're also useful in actual combat. I think for bosses, i prefer witches. But for general fluff, i'd go fireball with a wizard.
@@IcedCoffeeGaming which item is this? fair enough on items. So far, i've been making my assessment not involving items because i'm thinking people may not find them/not enough time in the demo unless you purposely go after the item like that broken sword from the black trader.
Every time I've used him, I've only been able to stack one burn per wizard unit. Your hoplite probably got hit by two wizards or something. Or I've just been extremely unlucky.
In german they are for some reason called "Hexer", which is usually the translation for warlock. Makes it a bit confusing since the german term for witch is "Hexe", implying that they are the same class, just divided in male and female.... Also just to be curious, what fighting game managed to ruin the term "sorcerer" for you?
Thanks for you and Legman showing so much love for this game.
So very hyped to be playing this for hundreds of hours.
wizards are so cool when you use them to attack enemies that are really tanky, and ofc they cast fireball

Small correction, step 4 is: Protect Auch till the end of the round and step 5 is: 2 "Enjoy the Inferno".^^
Probably not the best setup long term but I ran sellsword frontline mid a wizard and healer back line flank and it was a fun set up

Oh Cleric is useful in combat : ) it just requires 1 item and it becomes super op

how do you cast fire magic at the 8.37 marker? I never see any wizard in your team.

I see wizards to this day are still spamming fireball some things never change.
Does magic assist do more damage if you have more wizards in the unit?
Yes.
How are yall playing this already???
they are playing the demo version
Ow - shh
Im a hairy wizard
Just Fireball. 🙂
I'm glad they went with this name and not "sorcerer". A certain fighting game has ruined that name for me,
