Staffs felt like the most unique weapon type. A lot of the time, the additional effects felt like they mattered more than stats.
yea i feel like the weapon variety (in terms of unique skills) kinda sucked compared to staffs
A shame there is no way to get the Sanguis Mea staff. Looks pretty cool.
The poison and burn staffs are nasty when stacked. I made a unit with 2 shamans with each staff and dinah to stun lock rows and it can kill pretty much anything. It's easy to apply and does like 70 damage a turn to each enemy.
And you can blow up burn/poison with a wizard using one of the staffs with X Burst skill.
Wait can clerics equip gleaming mace!? Why didnt i know about this weapon!?
Now i wonder how te animation looks like-
The resurrect staff is very good. A resurrected party member retains their AP/PP, so once you can use it twice, you can essentially keep your party up indefinitely. Limited heal is also very good. It allows healers to scale up their magic attack and initiative effectively (don't need to wait for your units to be damaged). With decent M.Atk, it essentially becomes a party-wide full heal + overheal, similar to an innate +50% defense buff that can't be dispelled. 2AP also allows you to use it twice.
Lyrical Wand is so much fun! :)
See a lot of people use Circle Healing. Havent even found that staff in my run.
Been waiting for this one.
Pure field does block nope owl i've run Ridiel each playthrough
You forgot the warding staff. Which is fine because its a gimmick weapon, at best.
Love the windcepter on a lucky lucky dodge tank witch. Just freezes enemies dodges attacks and conferals carries. Very fun when you're tired of board nukes 😴😴😴
No need to run evasion tanking on grand magus, just blind is enough most of the time. Could run Sandstorm Druid alongside or just a Featherbow, Circle Heal is bugged and triggers twice at the end of battle even when you have no AP left and heals everything back to full. Purifier is ehh, Clerics already get Refresh which has the same conditions but doesn't give them debuff immunity for 1 debuff. The Leila staff is also Owl and Priestess only since Clerics already get Parting Resurrection.
there's a difference between "attributes" the verb and "attributes" the noun :)
I was really interested in the magic burst staff but couldn't find a setup that made sense for it... this was the main thing that made me feel like there's a missing unique caster unit
Staff is the weirdest weapon category to me... there aren't many good staves, and the top tier stat ones feel difficult to fit in because I feel like staff users more than anyone else need their weapons to have a really good skill attached. Shaman and maybe Scarlett are the exceptions.
Well I do agree with most of the ranking but I find that the double heal is pretty good and healer would prefer PP to AP as they have quick heal which cost 1PP and it will heal once an unit gotten hit. Also I feel the Ice storm ice can be a niche built where it's made to fire off asap and everyone set to hit only not frozen and prepare another board nuke to finish off the enemies that are either frozen or should be half dead. Usually I use this with a dragon dive.
Love your content! I tend to listen to it as more of a podcast, especially your tier lists. It would really help me if you doubled down on calling out the name of the item.
I agree that active point are way better than active point but ear me out
Only mage really care about their active point.
Witch, cleric (and owl but its pvp class) mainly care about their passive point because most of their best action are in fact passive like conferral tome, quick dispel, quick healing.....
What cleric gonna do with their active point, healing after you one shotted everything without taking damage since you used a board nuke ?
Even Shaman are in a strange situation with their active point since they do no damage, after 2 row debuff they will have no job at all to do with them. I feel like shaman are better of using their passive debuff or trinket like gambler coin
Thats why I feel like carmelian staff isnt that good, and any staff that give passive point is better than draconic staff
In fact I'd argue carmelian staff is D tier by the simple fact its in the arena shop and there is WAY BETTER ARENA REWARD to take than that staff
Reward like quick impetus, cornelian shield/weaponry, ruby/saphir pendant.....
Where can i get the chiropteran staff?
I'm pretty sure Yahna came with the staff
@@abnerrivera3807 i wish she did
She does, it is probably just equipped on her if you can't find it
I disagree with many of your choices. Earthquake hits like paper and Mages are slow. Staff of Succor gives a strong team healing option to support units with bad heals like Owls and Angel Priests. Desert Staff blind is good on paper but I often took more damage compared to Shaman's Off. Debuff. You have to build a team around Desert Staff. I'd have to break down a lot of your theories versus practical, in game use. Barriers are strong because they work Pre-attacked, not Post-attacked. Plus they are easy to stack with Post-attacked buffs/heals.
So there is a mixed attack for warlocks as far I have I seen. Is on a pair on gloves that allows them to Punch somebody for like 200 potency on both things and stun them. Is mostly funny to see than being useful.
