The "pastries" are better served in bit sized servings and one of each variety per person. A small piece of Victoria sponge, a macaron, a petit four, etc., it's not common to see giant cafe-style croissants and danishes in this course. You don't use a cork screw to open sparkling wine, you use your hand. Charcuterie is not part of tea.
