My coworker was a serious marathon runner and she did like. Iron man triathalons and she would keep Himalayan salt crystals on her and just take it like pills with water to prevent cramps
Only do this if you’re getting a lot of physical activity though! When you sweat you lose a lot of sodium. If you’re not getting at least an hour of sweaty exercise a day you don’t need to add salt to your water.
When I was losing weight after my daughter I quit drinking alcohol almost completely and would drink kombucha instead, so I love that she mentioned it kind of as an alcohol replacement lol
She is absolutely adorable. I got interested in ballet and ballerinas because they have this just grace, elegance and just ethereal lightness when they’re on stage…. And then you watch things like this where they’re dancing like an absolute nerd because they cooked their egg perfectly and it makes me think that maybe I can be a ballerina, too. Love these little behind the scenes peaks, and Scout has such a gorgeous personality ❤
you never really know what it’s like to be a dancer until you are part of it. It’s like a separate little community and the feeling doing a show/ competition is so unique and you don’t think a bit anything else. It’s like a little community that you are part of
Do not watch if you have a history of eating disorders. Scout is clearly an amazing dancer and charismatic personality, but WOW, this was incredibly triggering for me. It has taken me so long to develop a good relationship with food and honoring my hunger and satiety signals. I have not had an active eating disorder for quite some time, but watching this I could hear my old eating disorder perk up say, "Hey, if Scout Forsythe can burn a few thousand calories daily and only replenish with 1600 calories/day, what's your excuse? Maybe you should reign it in. . .etc." It was so disheartening. I have to keep reminding myself after watching this that I am okay, and the voice telling to cut calories does not have my interest at heart.
Stop projecting your ED onto others. Ik it's hard, but you are not her, and you are not a ballerina. It really isn't fair to assume bc YOU have an issue with food, SCOUT might too.
Tip: A great snack when any muscles start cramping is a banana. Bananas have three key nutrients which help relax and ease muscle contractions: potassium, calcium and magnesium. So the next time you are having cramps grab a banana.
When they are older and naturally stop laying the eggs you should just let them retire lmao, they need the calcium that would go into laying the eggs (in the shell)
Dancer here. She’s referring to her muscles, not her physical shape. You could look amazing, but if you haven’t danced as intensely in a while you have to ease your muscles back in otherwise they go into shock and you end up injured. Personal example: last year over lockdown my hip flexors tightened up a little (like it was hardly even noticeable). This resulted in a back injury when I went back to dancing 9am - 7pm as my body tried to compensate but didn’t have the glute activation/strength to support the spine in that way. One tiny change can impact muscles all over the body.
Loved this so much, she seems so educated on how to eat balanced meals and is so in tuned with her body. This inspired me to cook something tasty and nutritious!
This is simply sad. When you hear someone who is on a calorie restricted diet saying - after having danced for hours - that "these puffy snacks make ME FEEL full"...yup.
@@spamgarbage6999 it would be fine if she ate more and added a few things (like protein in the soup), but she doesn't. this is way too low calorie to be healthy and it shows in her energy levels.
@@frankiethey her bodies calorie deficit is not something insane because her body has adapted to how much she exercises after years of doing it. If one of yall on here were doing the amt of exercise she did all of a sudden this diet would be a problem for you.
She literally had carbs at every meal. The bread at breakfast, the vegetable soup (especially if she adds a grain like farro as she said, and root vegetables like carrots, parsnips, potatoes) has tons of carbs. Her snacks were carbs. Then all the veggies at dinner. Most of her carbs are fibrous, as opposed to starchy - but they are carbs. Vegetables are carbohydrates.
@@k819849 It's a very low calorie diet for the amount of activity she's doing, but she said she'd getting back into shape for a performance so presumably she's actively trying to lose weight.
these are the amount of calories that an average fairly inactive person should be eating in a day...not a professional athlete who spent the entirety of the day doing probably intensive exercise.
I understand what you are getting at, could she eat more? Maybe, but dancing with a full belly is honestly one of the worst feelings ever so it’s a balance of constant refueling but not over fueling your body
Ikr lmfao I can’t imagine being this physically active but consuming such low counts of calories. I mean maybe once u get used to it? But she must be in calorie deficit or smth.
@@AM-nv5ww if she feels uncomfortable dancing with a full belly then she should reaaaaaally be consuming large amounts of calories for dinner. I don't think there's a good reason to be consuming so few calories with a lifestyle like this. and tbh i think this video is kinda irresponsible to even post. clearly all of these "she's so healthy/has such a good relationship with food" comments show the skewed perception of what is healthy/a healthy relationship with food.
Im afraid people are going to take this diet as “healthy” and emulate it... the amount of people i see defending this extremely restrictive diet is sad
Erm, could it be a matter of habit? Here in north of Italy we are eating pretty much like this, and we consider it normal. Sure, average people probably don't burn as many calories as her, but she really has to dance all day so she can't have a big meal on her stomach. But I assure you, where I live this is considered absolutely healthy.
@@sun7677 for most people this may be healthy but considering how many calories she burns throughout the day this is frankly very restrictive and small.
@@sun7677 I think people have no idea what healthy or normal looks like anymore. Her diet seems fine to me but In the states you are considered disordered if you are not gorging yourself on twice the calories you need, bonus points if it is take out.
Pro bodybuilders that are 220 pounds eat 3000 calories she is fine eating 1500. The reason the US is obese is cuz people think they need to eat twice as much as they really need literaly.
Scout said in the beginning of the video how she is trying get back in to shape so she maybe trying to lose weight but I do got say that her caloric intake is pretty low for ballet dancer. But she may have some reasons like when she said that soup/salad helped her performance and having something light helped her not feel so "weighed down". Her preferences also could be reason for her very low calorie intake she even admitted she preferred fruits and vegetables. A ballet dancer burns between 2,000 to 3,000 calories on an average day so she needs to eat enough food to have sustainable energy for all the things she does. As reminder she might eat more on other days. Was looking at comment and they calculated her overall intake to be 1,400 which might not be enough for her as ballet dancer. She is a very dedicated to her profession and hope the best for her.
“People have the impression that ballerinas subsist on a daily diet of an apple and yogurt-that’s completely untrue! We wouldn’t have the energy to dance. Dancers watch what they eat and just avoid fatty foods because they’re bad for the joints. Not too much alcohol either, because toxins get in the muscles. Especially not white wine; it’s acidic. Red wine is fine in small doses. Dancers eat a lot of pasta and slow-release carbohydrates, especially before shows. Not too many fast-release carbohydrates, because they give you energy for five minutes, and then it’s all over. We sometimes eat chocolate bars to get a boost before dancing or during intermission. Basically, we eat everything in moderate quantities. What makes dancers so thin is exercise.” -Agnes Letestu
Just FYI for anyone scared of microwaves: the electromagnetic radiation of microwave ovens is non-ionizing (Uranium or Plutonium for example are radioactive and therefore ionizing) and stops as soon as the power is cut off. The heating is effected by causing the water molecules in the food or liquid to vibrate - this "movement" generates thermal energy, in turn heating the food. So unless you operate an oven without a door and stand directly in front of it, nothing happens.
Let’s all remember that just because it’s what she eats, that doesn’t mean it’s what you should eat. We’re all different and need different types and amounts of food to feel and function at our best. What I eat in a days really need to stop, they only lead to comparison and feelings of shame and guilt.
actually this is a good example of what we should be eating, most humans need similar nutritional goals that need to be met so it would be a good idea to do something like this. the only thing that varies is how much you need to eat to account for your activity!
I agree with you except on the last part. People need to learn to not compare themselves and be so sensitive. If a person knows that watching this type of video won't do them any good then they shouldn't watch it. As simple as that. She's not encouraging people to eat the same as her, it's not her fault if some people feel guilty by seeing what she eats.
As a former dancer who had a similar schedule as her eating protein is essential with that amount of physical activity. Getting those veggies in with a green powder as well as some hearty veggies should be a daily habit. But me personally, would need a little more than what she is doing. I usually needed a a good hearty sandwich by lunch time.

Sautée any kind of vegetables/legumes you have laying around ( previously washed diced and peeled ) , then keep adding hot water. Once they're cooked, it´s up to you, to drain and ad greens to the stock, or puré everything if you prefer it creamy.

@@Labyriiint ikk. runny is where it's at.
"If it's there and I need it, then I'm going to eat it" I love it 💜💜💜💜
She definitely needs her own channel. Her hair is gorgeous..
My coworker was a serious marathon runner and she did like. Iron man triathalons and she would keep Himalayan salt crystals on her and just take it like pills with water to prevent cramps
U can help me I also want my body stronger
Wow i’ll try that too!
That's a great idea. I will be trying that!
We just drank coconut water. Totally recommend 👍
Does it taste like alcohol?
Here in the Netherlands we eat bread for breakfast, bread for lunch and soup with bread for dinner.
That's about all I can afford anymore lol.
SHE'S SO ENERGETIC WITH SO LITTLE FOOD AND SHE'S TRULY WHOLESOME NOT PRETENTIOUS AT ALL I LOVE HER!
When she was petting the chicken it was so cute!!!!😍
@Hrt D Ha ha Ha I know 😂😂
I literally watched all of her previous videos today and thought about asking for a what I eat in a day!!!
she neeeeds her own channel 🤩
Yes
AGREE We live Scout!
you never really know what it’s like to be a dancer until you are part of it.
The thing is mental illnesses will always relapse.no way to make them go away so much that it feels like they never been there.
You are stronger than your ED-voice makes you think my love, you got this! 🙏💛
Couldn’t feel this comment more. If she weren’t so charismatic, I feel like more people would be concerned and calling her out to be honest.
I didn’t know there were anti-microwavers 😂😂😂
Seriously, I can’t live without microwave 🤣
Some people don't like them cause of the radiation. I personally love my microwave though. 😆
My microwave died on me and I already miss it
I don’t own one. Not because of the radiation but I feel like food tastes better when it’s freshly made.
There are
I literally love her and all her videos. Her mentality is very ~zen~. I want to be a dancer like her and these videos are everything
When my chicken stopped laying, is was suggested that I put golf balls under them and sure enough, they sat on them and they started laying again.
Omg 😂
When they are older and naturally stop laying the eggs you should just let them retire lmao, they need the calcium that would go into laying the eggs (in the shell)
This video is really uplifting and extremely healthy please thank this young lady for a wonderful video.
I will watch her forever. Love the energy and skills!
When she says “get back in shape”
Ballerina have to be in great shape to dance. In shape doesn't mean skinny necessarily it means she needs to keep strong to dance.
@@marysdanceworld6066 I had the same back thing when I tried picking my schedule back up.
Yeah. Cuz she's not in her peak athletic shape. Not everything is about vanity.
@@amethyst4990 yea thanks
Loved this so much, she seems so educated on how to eat balanced meals and is so in tuned with her body. This inspired me to cook something tasty and nutritious!
her video really motivated me to change my morning routine. She's so positive! I wish she had a channel.
This is simply sad. When you hear someone who is on a calorie restricted diet saying - after having danced for hours - that "these puffy snacks make ME FEEL full"...yup.
Very sad and disordered indeed!
This is a normal diet shes stating healthy she eats tons of veg and complex carbs and she orders takeout. Absolutely normal.
Massaii trubesmen had their calorie expenditure measured and it was the same as obese americans who sit all day And Its why obese people hit a plateau when they strive to lose weight their body is adapting to the amount of exercise they do and their expenditure goes down. This is an absolutely healthy diet and not only that she talks about drinking alcohol and ordering takeout/ burritos when she fees like it. If one of yall on here were doing the amt of exercise she did all of a sudden this diet would be a problem for you.
@@frankiethey you people are overeating
I can't believe what she eats for 9 hours of dancing...... with not a lot of carbs.
@@nereti1303 maybe but a 2000+ calorie deficit a day sounds crazy to me
@@k819849 completely agree!!
@@calisongbird agree with you but my point is it's not enough given she's burning around 3000+ calories a day
I’m so glad we are getting more videos with her! She genuinely is so nice to watch. Informative and entertaining. LOVE HER!!!
She is so sweet! I would faint if I would eat so little and exercised all day though.
I cannot explain how much I love that she is a professional ballerina but still has such a healthy relationship with food
We need good food eating
I love her, her enthusiasm is so infectious!
Scout is so so so awesome! Food shouldn't be a struggle, food is yummy. ❤️
these are the amount of calories that an average fairly inactive person should be eating in a day...not a professional athlete who spent the entirety of the day doing probably intensive exercise.
@@jay-pg8no she might just have a slow metabolism? we don't know her body and also she said she's trying to get into shape to perform again
The "average fairly inactive person" in the US is overweight. What the average person consumes is not a measure of optimal health.
I’m a dancer major in college focusing on dance science she has her life together 😭 I skip on food sm.
@Hrt D to study I take a lot of science classes so I won’t eat bc I gotta cook 😭
@Hrt D I’m vegetarian 😭 I’ll eat a snack but it’s not a full meal plus I have ibs which makes most “bad” stuff hurt my stomach
@@mauve3734 two words, pre pack. I’m a uni student and sacrificing some time off my sleep to do that is the best bet you got
She does... you’ll get there. She has been doing this foe years that’s why you.
@@mendingwall3823not when she eats like 1000 calories but burns 3x the amount everyday of the week. Not a good ratio
Pro bodybuilders that are 220 pounds eat 3000 calories she is fine eating 1500. The reason the US is obese is cuz people think they need to eat twice as much as they really need literaly.
i love how she was so happy when she made her egg right
Scout is adorable and full of positive vibes! I love her! Great video 💕
Scout said in the beginning of the video how she is trying get back in to shape so she maybe trying
to lose weight but I do got say that her caloric intake is pretty low for ballet dancer.
What makes dancers so thin is exercise.”

I'm so envious of people who still have one or both of their parents still living. You are the luckiest people in the world!!!
Oh please! Don’t watch then! Don’t try and shut down others!
I love her!! So sweet and down to earth...xxJ
man i loved this girls energy thru the entire video
She should start her own channel. I love her videos!!
What a lovely girl, I loved how she lovingly caressed that hen aw!!

She’s so charismatic! I love everything about her! ❤️✨
Scout’s relationship with food was sooooo inspiring!! Like she eats bread, burrito, donuts but she still eats healthy and is healthy!! I never really wanted to do a diet because I feel like I couldn’t handle starvation but she ate things that I eat regularly!! It made me feel more healthy and now I just wanna go a make salmon or something 😂
Have you seen her eating a burrito? I’ve just seen her eat half avocado and 1 egg, munch a few crisps, drink soup, eat less than 100 grams of salmon and veggies. That’s just enough to keep going.
@@TheFlowMind no i didn’t but she mentioned some of the things she orders out like a burrito bowl (I think?) and pad Thai. She also said that if she feels like eating a doughnut, she’ll do it too!😊

when she asked about the water thing I was like *gasp* “I do that “
Morning Scout is such a mood.
Very lil calories overall. I couldn't do that without heavy protein throughout the day. Like pb with those apples. Or a turkey sandwich on grain bread for lunch. Those avocados are great the fats are healthy.
hydrating/journaling/avocado-ing 😂 such a different generation.bless.
Just keep the Scout Forsythe videos coming.
Hearing that Scout didn’t grow up with a microwave is so shocking since I grew up with my mom making meals using the microwave (Hamburger Helper). I’ve only known people who have microwaves but the family I’ve started babysitting for, they don’t have one. They have a toaster oven which also serves as a microwave, but I’ve never used a toaster oven
Imagine looking that pretty when you wake up, can’t relate ✌️
This video was such a pleasure to watch. I really appreciated the transparency. Thank you!
Omg I want Scout’s veggie soup recipe! 💗
sameeee
Sautée any kind of vegetables/legumes you have laying around ( previously washed diced and peeled ) , then keep adding hot water. Once they're cooked, it´s up to you, to drain and ad greens to the stock, or puré everything if you prefer it creamy.
Coconut water is also a great source of electrolytes. I particularly like Harmless Harvest ...but there are some others that are quite good (and a few not so good.) Also..what a cool person Scout is!
I made the soup recipe bc it looked good and I just added some kidney beans for a little added protein and fiber for satiety and it’s the bommmmbbb omg. Like it’s simple but the russet potatoes really make the combo sing
What a adorable young girl. Reminds me of my daughter. 😊
This whole thing felt like an ad to sell an eating disorder
😂 lmao
Exactly, she eats so little for someone who trains so much
This is too little to eat even without training
Yes…
😂
HOW is every ballet dancer the literal most beautiful person EVER
The meal where she has salmon with vegetables and a side salad though, isn't that just salmon with vegetables and vegetables! .......IDK?
Isn't that basically the ideal meal? Vegetables and protein. Plenty of carbs in the vegetables. She also had plenty of fat with the avocado, oil, almond dip and added seeds on her salad.
Sounds pretty healthy and balanced to me. If you want to add some grains you can put some quinoa or brown rice in there as well.
Please more Scout Forsythe content, She's brilliant ❤️
