As someone who's never really done this before, doing it on a laptop was definitely a cheek clincher that I had to do twice because I didn't insert it properly the first time. This was a big help.
I inserted mine at a very flat angle and felt no resistance. I haven’t initialized or tested the SSD yet so I can’t confirm it’s working so after seeing online that you’re supposed to angle it I’m a bit scared…
@@TheGrimAdventuresOf For some reason, it was detected by my PC, and appeared in Disk Management, but the initialization process wouldn't work. I was able to use Samsung's Data Migration software to copy all the contents of my old drive to the SSD and boot from it with no issues, so the issue wasn't the physical connection. No idea why it wouldn't initialize though.
Hey I gotta question regarding the ssd, so I’ve installed my ssd already and is now wat the cable part. And I have these sata cables that I understand you connect to either your hdd or ssd. But I’ve seen that some peoples ssd or hdd look different to what I have and is placed in a little pocket on the backside of the cabinet instead of on the motherboard. So do I still connect my sata cable to the kind of ssd shown in this short?
Hi I’ve bought pc already m.2 SSD installed with windows 10 on it but it doesn’t show my own SSD that’s attached with sata cable ? It shows in disk management but as Disk 0 but it doesn’t show as unallocated or hidden, might be mine SSD is windows 11, any guide or help ?
Hello, i tried installing an NVME M.2 PCIE 4gen ssd of 4 to on my MSI motherboard and it didn't work out, my bios don't even open and my monitor show black screen when powering my pc on. Can you please help me with this ? thank you!
The motherboard IS the PC. I’m guessing by “in my pc” you mean “in the PC case”, but the case makes no difference aside from making it harder to access things. Just make sure the power supply isn’t connected to a power outlet and the PSU switch is in the OFF position to be safe.
@@Kyle-ux3en It was a little weird that you put it slightly in, then changed your hand position and moved the ssd from left to right. Even made a weird sound but it probably didn't damage it at all. Just a little scary imo. If you moved it left/right harder than what you did wouldn't have went well.
I had an issue where my first boot was successful, but after realizing I forgot to plug in the power cable to my GPU, I rebooted and then suddenly couldn’t get past UEFI settings and the Windows repair utility. It turns out that with my motherboard, if an SSD is connected to the 2nd (of 2) M.2 NVMe slot, then the 1st (of 6) SATA port gets disabled, which happened to be where I had my new SSD and old boot drive connected, respectively. 3 months later, hopefully your problem has already been solved, but for anyone else: Try moving your SSD and/or boot drives to a different slot. Or just check your motherboard manual (can be found online typically).

Thanks. I nearly screwed myself by positioning the drive at a flat angle.

@@AnEnemyAnemone1 if you felt no resistance, perhaps it was inserted without problem regardless? Fingers crossed.

Thanks, i was afraid i broke it die to the sound it makes and none of the installation guides have this sound. But hearing it here is reassuring.
Insert at a 15-degree angle, screw it in, like 95% tightness, make sure it is not bending, and you're all good 👍
Followed instructions, Pc blew up
Ah you must live near me, thats what that explosion outside was.
If it’s an asus board you might as well just burn it yourself

🤣🤣🤣 bro I’m dead
@@Nb_2089 little kid asus makes the most reliable stuff. go get urself ANYTHING from asus, and id be surprised if it breaks.
For those installing it please use the little screw thing they give you
Wish I could, it's been impossible to get it in…
Can someone please tell me how to get the black screw guard off
precision screwdriver only. DONT use the flathead, use the philips. Flat head will strip it and then you won’t be able to get it out at all.
straight to the point.
Instructions unclear, I am now falling from 973 feet after being launched up because my PC exploded,
I usually find using 2 hands works best. Bit like when i go pee 😂
Thanks i spent the last 6 years trying
Thanks, I nearly screwed myself to the motherboard. Luckily my mom was there to pull me out before I died from dehydration.

Bro calls him self a pro but I can see the stress in his hand🗿
Does it matter if the ssd has two holes instead of one??
if you are talking about cut in the connection side than a two key(cut) is a sata speed ssd which is less than nvme speed
“How to do it like a professional”
*plugs ssd*
very impressive 🗿👌
Can we install more than 1 nvme?
It matters what motherboard you have but simple answer, yes.
I just thought it was common sense to insert it at an angle
Is this a problem with the 4tb ones as well?
Smooth. Clean. Pro max 3000.
