@@kevinplaysd4198 basically, when you save Terry, he will ask you if you can handle a ton of pain. If you say yes, then you get a hell lot of pain from the game's increase in difficulty.
I didn’t know about Terry’s turn to the Dark Side. I’ve never seen anyone abandon Terry in the beginning AND I’ve never given him up. Cool.

Its kinda a ironic or coincidence or whatever b/c Buddy was technically a gift to Brad by Buzzo I presume in order for Yado’s plans to succeed
I'm pretty sure I read somewhere that Ding-a-Ling said that Buzzo would go along with Yado's plan only if he would agree to leave Buddy with Brad, so not a coincidence at all. Same kinda thought occurred to me though.
I've seen worse characters than Brad, but considering his universe... he's the best charcter there...

I feel like the tone during this part was a lot more grim than before, considering the scope of Brad having found Buddy and wondering what had been done to her.
Plus, I really like how you narrated the scene where the beaten and bruised Rick comes back to defend Sticky. I felt the pressure during that scene.

I heard from the one who showed me this game, He was sad because of lisas death and needed someone to blame it on, he didnt know marty, so he blamed it on brad.Thats why he is giving options for his arm. He wants brad to suffer for her death. (Sorry this reply is a year late, I just wanted to let you know if you didnt already find out.)

I heard about this game recently and I can say it's my new personal "Hotline Miami", which I discovered five years ago and (positively) haunted me a lot too for its story, the will to know more through details and fitting the puzzle with fan theories, not to mention an atmosphere that makes it unique in its kind. Although such games as "LISA" or even "La Mulana" don't target large audiences, I am glad to see people can still discover them years later and still appreciate them and to discuss their plots and their feelings about the whole experience. Good games never last.

So what did Sticky do to show Buddy? Was Brad right and Sticky is a sicko, or was he overreacting and Buddy just meant that Sticky basically just gave her "the talk"?
So the entire nightmare is driven by his paranoia. Based on what Buddy says in LISA the Joyful ("He never touched me."), there was likely never any sexual contact between the two.
But as other people have pointed out, Buddy isn't exactly the most trustworthy character out there!

i hate how channels who put more effort into their videos (like: this channel, randomkenny, etc.) are literally under all of these videos, and its a damn shame how we always see the same, similar content on our recommended pages. I'm not mad at the sub count, anybody who likes this type of content can find him if youtube isn't hungry for money, which is actually never so we can only find people with high sub counts and i hate how that works out

These kinds of channels are a damn shame. I really enjoy your content, how you handle commentary etc but it sucks that this kind of content is only as good as the game that it describes. Lisa the Painful is no Hotline Miami (even though it's good in it's own right), so it makes sense, but it's still pretty painful to watch the sudden dip in views and shit. Wish that you get out of this hole because I don't want your commentaries to end dude.
I've been sitting here trying to come up with a reply I'm happy with and I just can't because I have so many mixed feelings about this. I'll just try to keep it simple: I get what you're saying about the decline in views, and even though I expected it, I have struggled with it a bit (been trying to get to 20K subscribers for like 2 months. Lol) making me question whether I should continue with Lisa or move onto something more mainstream or even give up completely, but instead of focusing on the negatives like that, I keep reminding myself why I make these, things like helping people understand the story, or introducing them to one they never considered before, but ultimately, it's to make something that can do this series justice, and maybe get some people that would like to listen to me explain other games in the future.
It's a crap reply, but I've been sitting it mulling it over in my head and I can't really come up with anything more. The only other thing I can say is thank you so much for watching. It makes me really happy to hear people enjoy these videos, and I truly am humbled whenever someone leaves such kind words like you have. Thank you.
I've never played the Lisa games or had interest in them, but I can tell you one thing, your narration and story telling is so vivid and captivating that I binged the 2 vids you had on Lisa and made me a fan. It's not the games that you talk about that make you unique, It's your amazing ability to enthrall people in a story that makes your channel great. Anytime you made a vid, regardless of what it is, I always give it a shot cuz I'm their for you, not the game. Loving the Lisa vids so far. And don't worry about the not continuing stuff. There's ups and downs all the time with this stuff, and those moments come in the worst of the downs. I think I have a couple of years left until I either have to force myself to take a step back, or stop completely, and I'll be heartbroken if it comes to that, so I'm going to work very hard to try and be able to do this for the foreseeable future!

SPOILERS Hello pal, just starting the video, but let me tell you that you are making up things
You can't guess what is Brad thinking like that, I mean the only thing the thinks of his Buddy. He don't care about Buzzo, nor Rando, nor his lost adoptive son. He would've not killed that much of people otherwise
I mean his title is "Nobody" and before fighting Rando he said "I've been dead for 35 years, today is the day I live"
Doesn't sound like someone who thinks a lot on his surroundings, he almost dammed entire humanity after all
Hey, Ziliock! Thanks for taking the time to watch the video, and leave a comment. Sorry that bugs you so much, and if you haven't finished, I would suggest not watching the rest, as there are many more moments like that throughout the video.
I get what you're saying about Brad not caring about anything other than Buddy, and completely agree with it, but I would say he does have thoughts and feelings to other things around him, and some/most of those are meant to be sourced from the player. That's the unique story telling aspect of video games, the playable character is our link to the game world, meaning things we feel are (likely) felt by the character we are controlling, and vice versa, and even giving us a way to react to what we experience.
I would even go so far as to say the type of game this is, a Role Playing Game, is conducive to that type of storytelling. We are meant to put ourselves in Brad's shoes, and live in Olathe through him, crafting a part of his character as we play. Maybe your version of Brad is selfish, and would give up companions so he can keep his items while my version would rather sacrifice part of his body so they could live. Maybe my Brad takes Joy because he knows it'll help him in his chase for Buddy, and he won't stop at anything to get her back, but maybe your Brad suffers the withdrawal because he knows she would be disappointed to hear he gave in again, and he won't let her down. Even the "Nobody" moniker could be meant as a blank slate so you can create parts of his background to craft the "Brad" you want.
Taking all of that into account, we know Brad will stop at nothing to chase after Buddy, and he just crashed a motorcycle into a Warlord who just got finished with a massacre. Men have attacked him for less, so it would make sense that the Warlord would want to kill Brad for hitting him, and it would also make sense for Brad to get ready to defend himself, a feeling likewise felt from the Player. But when Rando doesn't attack, the Player is surprised, and that surprise travels down to Brad. He may not express it in words, but it's still felt.
Ultimately, it may just come down to a disagreement from how stories in video games are told, and if I can't get you to see where I'm coming from, all I have to say is I'm sorry you didn't like the video, and for taking up some of your time. Thanks again for watching. :)
This story is.............. Not as great as I imagined. Also requires basic knowledge of the former game. KInda disappointing imo.

You can still play and understand The Painful without playing The First, it just requires closer analysis to understand fully. Lots of the events of The First are at the very least implied, you can get an idea of what happened in The First without playing it.
As for the decision, it's not meant to be deep. That's just Buzzo's character. He's intending on causing as much pain to Brad as possible because of his belief that he caused Lisa to kill herself. He thinks Brad should've done more to protect her, so he blames him for running away. Just cutting off his arms isn't enough, just taking all his things isn't enough, just jumping his party and killing one of his crew isn't enough, making him decide what happens to him makes it more painful.
Also, Dingaling wanted to make an RPG where the player is forced to make hugely impactful decisions. Forcing the player to choose between cutting Brad's arm off, lose a party member, or lose all your items has actual impact on gameplay, the choice you made follows you throughout the rest of the game.
