Clint Moss. Second in command. Very Loyal. Concerned about his own boss's life. Does everything to protect Rando. Doesn't care how scary his opponents are. Gets Angry instead of scared when his opponent tries to intimidate him. If you ask me, i'd want clint moss to be a friend of mine.

One thing I see a lot of players miss out on is that Brad was the one who made Rando's trademark skull mask. You can see this just after the fight against Yado when you enter the small cave, Brad can be seen weeping and sewing a red mask.
Lol, didn't notice that. I thought it was an alucination of Buddy. Or a metaphor to represent how much Brad really loved Rando and how much he miss him after his death
Can we take a moment and mention that Rando was an extremely tough person? I mean, a motorcycle drove into him at high speed, and he just stood there like nothing happened all the while the bike was destroyed. And even when he cried, he cried because he felt guilty for destroying Brad's motorcycle, not because of the physical pain.

While Brad is almost immune,not only Dustys attacks deal damage,but also the slamming one effectively takes third of the Brads health. Keep in mind that Brad was unstoppable and now imagine how painful would be even Randos common attack(Buster punches if I remember correctly) to common people. That means that Rando can kill human with just one powerful slam and quite possible kill even joy mutants alone. Hope you enJOYed my analysis.
Rando was basically Asgore before undertale even existed, the only difference was he wasn't naive. This is kind've why I want to make a series that brings more awareness to this game. I tried with brad vs batter, but I don't know how much of impact it made. So who's left to talk about? You've basically covered every corner in the main games in the lisa series.
The scene where Brad and Dusty first meet kinda gets me. The idea that his favourite thing to do is watch other kids play karate and that Brad let him join without paying was probably the best day of his life at that point. The moment grabs me in a way that I didn’t expect. When I was younger I would give stuff to other kids and I’d feel good about it but when I got home I was told off for giving stuff away. So now I feel a bit guilty for doing good stuff. That kind of feeling is captured in that moment. I kinda miss doing nice stuff without feeling a little guilty.
He just couldn’t catch a break he is one of the best characters with a sad backstory as most people would make them an antagonist upset at the main character for some reason,yet they only use him as a person who makes us cry because the backstory is so sad
I love that its technically foreshadowed that brad would never be a good guardian or parent when he abandoned dusty in the dojo. He couldn't move past his issues to be there for someone who looked up to him as a father figure then and he couldn't do it after that either and that makes brad an even more miserable character.
I mean... i kinda took it as Brad couldnt bear with what was happening when it connected to Lisa and his own self guilt... him leaving to have a moment of peace lead to Rando seemingly abandoned
One thing that breaks my heart about Rando its when he tells to buddy that even thought he never had a good childhood he knew a kid should be playing and not commiting massive murder, he really wanted to help her.
Marty abused Lisa Lisa manipulated Buzzo Buzzo blamed Brad Brad lost Buddy Buddy killed Dr Yazo So many people died because of a couple of people treating others unfairly.
I want to think that Brad too, was actually trying real hard, to raise Dusty as good and strong boy. Stronger and happier than when Brad was young. But even if he did that perfectly, even if he make Dusty become happiest boy. Lisa will always haunt him.

When Rando's hood came off during our fight, I actually held my face in shock and sadness. This game is on par with Earthbound and Mother 3. It may actually top Mother 3 in terms of tragedy.

Lot of people theorize that she left him for yado but there's no evidence one way or the other. She's just as enigmatic as the flash. I put him in parentheses because he at least tries to redeem himself. But still; he is the source of brad/lisa, and by extent, buzzo/buddy's problem.
I like how the game doesn't rely on the revenge girl trope with Buddy and truly explore what a ruined word and repressed parenting can do to a child. In fact, I'm surprised Buddy is still capable of some compassion to change at the end of the game. All the world ever taught her is that everyone wants to hurt her, cage her, and "protect" her. The only one she wants to protect lied to her to protect her. She never sugar coats her ambition and I'm glad they never mentioned "motherly instincts" for buddy until the very end. I think often times we hate people who have the potential to do good more than literal rapists and murderers. And people's dislike for Buddy characterizes that.

I know it's only a fan creation but that part in Rando's perspective where Brad says he didn't want Dusty to be like him does show he can't love other because of how much he hates himself.

Rando. I awaited this one for a very long time, as usual. I'm not disappointed. Rando is a very lovable character, that i rooted for through the whole game, until his very soul crushing demise.

Rando was basically Asgore before undertale even existed, the only difference was he wasn't naive. This is kind've why I want to make a series that brings more awareness to this game. I tried with brad vs batter, but I don't know how much of impact it made.

The scene where Brad and Dusty first meet kinda gets me.
The idea that his favourite thing to do is watch other kids play karate and that Brad let him join without paying was probably the best day of his life at that point.
The moment grabs me in a way that I didn’t expect. When I was younger I would give stuff to other kids and I’d feel good about it but when I got home I was told off for giving stuff away.
So now I feel a bit guilty for doing good stuff. That kind of feeling is captured in that moment. I kinda miss doing nice stuff without feeling a little guilty.
love how the beginning implies Rando is some kind of merciless tyrant warlord when in fact he's the complete opposite

Rando was the closest thing to a hero in the LISA series.
Another amazing thought think about it... Terry Hintz and Dustin Armstrong teaming up! It be a match mad in HEAVEN!
He just couldn’t catch a break he is one of the best characters with a sad backstory as most people would make them an antagonist upset at the main character for some reason,yet they only use him as a person who makes us cry because the backstory is so sad
I love that its technically foreshadowed that brad would never be a good guardian or parent when he abandoned dusty in the dojo. He couldn't move past his issues to be there for someone who looked up to him as a father figure then and he couldn't do it after that either and that makes brad an even more miserable character.
Austin said that Brad abandoned Dusty because:"he's fuuuuuucked"
I mean... i kinda took it as Brad couldnt bear with what was happening when it connected to Lisa and his own self guilt... him leaving to have a moment of peace lead to Rando seemingly abandoned
Man, lisaverse and rando itself have more good story to tell than a entire trilogy movie
rando is definitively a great character to be inspired in RL

I want to think that Brad too, was actually trying real hard, to raise Dusty as good and strong boy. Stronger and happier than when Brad was young.
But even if he did that perfectly, even if he make Dusty become happiest boy. Lisa will always haunt him.
Did Brad ever know Rando was Dusty?
Probably not. To be fair its been years and Rando's face is disfigured, so i wouldn't be surprised if Brad didn't recognise him

When Rando's hood came off during our fight, I actually held my face in shock and sadness.
This game is on par with Earthbound and Mother 3. It may actually top Mother 3 in terms of tragedy.

Buddy is definitely my least favorite character.
I never understood the hate for Buddy after my first playthrough cause I chose the "Drop Him" option during the Bolo encounter. Once I got around to seeing what happened otherwise, I totally understood. Lol.

I would really like austin to make a game that explains why marty stopped being a good dad and why their mother/wife was missing. Lot of people theorize that she left him for yado but there's no evidence one way or the other. She's just as enigmatic as the flash. I put him in parentheses because he at least tries to redeem himself. But still; he is the source of brad/lisa, and by extent, buzzo/buddy's problem.
I like how the game doesn't rely on the revenge girl trope with Buddy and truly explore what a ruined word and repressed parenting can do to a child.
In fact, I'm surprised Buddy is still capable of some compassion to change at the end of the game.
All the world ever taught her is that everyone wants to hurt her, cage her, and "protect" her. The only one she wants to protect lied to her to protect her.
She never sugar coats her ambition and I'm glad they never mentioned "motherly instincts" for buddy until the very end.
I think often times we hate people who have the potential to do good more than literal rapists and murderers. And people's dislike for Buddy characterizes that.
Why though, Buddy was raised like shit in a shitty world in suprised she can even feel

Thank you for doing such a great storytime session! I don't listen to audiobooks or anything of the sort but Lisa's characterization always felt very raw. I don't have the luxury to play through the series without wishing bad things for the developer, so this was really great - props for including the scenes themselves.❤

Ay squatch, you ever thought about doing a video on lobotomy corporation? It's basically a game where you manage a "Korean SCP foundation", but there is actual lore and backstory to everything. You can even do videos on monsters (called abmormalities in the game) if you're up to it
