  • Treasure Cove! is an educational computer game intended to teach children reading and oceanography, released in 1992 by The Learning Company. An enhanced version was released in 1994, and this music is from that version.
At some point in the game, a giant fish would appear on level 3. If you entered its mouth, you'd find yourself in its belly, which contained several goopies and a point multiplier gem.

Before it occurred to me what the purpose of this part of the game was, I used to say when playing this game that,
"The grouper loves to eat goobies."
(The giant fish was referred to in the how-to-play part of the instruction manual as "Super Grouper" when saying where the bonus purple gems would appear.)

""I think the significance of this portion of the game was as a training area for Shark Park. ""
That actually makes sense, since it gets harder as the game goes on.

I never understood this one in the game you enter the mouth of the fish and then you come back out alive unless if the fish is not alive anymore. I am guessing they added something from Jonah and the giant fish tale.

I think the purpose of this part of the game was as a training area for Shark Park. The point was that the Master of Mischief had the gem smuggled in the giant fish's stomach-and goobies were guarding it so the Super Solver wouldn't be able to try and retrieve it. They used a fish rather than a cave so the player would understand why it didn't appear until one moves up in rank.
