A 3 litre, V6 TDI powerplant produces 227 bhp and a monstrous 540 lb/ft of torque resulting in performance that is astonishing for such a big car. Rapid acceleration of 0-60mpg in 7.1 seconds is achieved via a 7 speed automatic gearbox and the ML350 will thunder in to a 137 mph top speed. The ML is fitted with huge and powerful ABS brakes which ooze your confidence behind the wheel. For such a leviathan the ML is also fairly sharp when it comes to handling the twists and turns. It's extremely safe and stable in all driving conditions thanks to the safety and security of All wheel drive. The whole car feels solid and capable. It also delivers impressive fuel consumption, averaging over 30mpg on my road test.
