I think this is cog driven not chain or belt, if it’s the BNZ engine. I’ve got one but at the other end of the scale of looks have started working on it and in fact meant to be working it at moment.. I suddenly feel I have a lot more work to do thanks to this video 😂

Enjoyed your review. None of the usual hyperbole! Personally I don't class this as high mileage though. I wonder if the battery has actually degraded or if your range is close to what it would have been when new. If it has degraded that much it's pretty poor.

The drivers side door paint looks different to the paint on the rear door or drivers side, the paint appears to not match? Unless its a camera thing?

Got one, 41,000 miles one owner, he looked after it meticulously, basically it looks and feels like a new car. No crumpled driver seat, no shiny steering wheel but will it breakdown? At 41,000 it's got past all the early faults, so it all depends how meticulous that first owner has been. Already he's replaced the front disks, new alternator, new hoses, new filters, new air bag pumps and a full service history all done at a Rover dealer. It's around the 80,000 mark when the later problems begin but I only do 3,000 a year so it might be awhile if at all being 71.

Until you look under it and the rear subframe is rotten. Rear cills rot out. And the haldex fails because landrover state a service at 150k which is to late.

Hi . I have the exact same car. Mines a 98 Elegance 90k. Serviced and looked after by the gentleman the previously owned it at a Mercedes garage. Main issue is she lived outside for 25 years so a bit of rust. However up until recently drove like new. Still shifts perfect. The advice I’m after is when in traffic, and foot on the brake it starts to feel like it’s ’chugging’ which is the best way I can describe it. Mechanic told me throttle body sensor. But £500 to fix. Still drives and in traffic. I just put into neutral. Any ideas would be greatly acccepted. Love these cars.

Questions the speed and rev monator, is in the middle normally it is just infront of the steering wheel. Will this make it harder to drive you have to keep looking at the middle?

Hi have a low mileage auto ds5 with hud ,heated massage seats ,I had a Mercedes r350 cdi before I bought the ds5,and this is the best car I’ve ever owned , ok yep the ride over some uneven road surfaces ,with the low profile tyres can give it an shakey ride sometimes,and the lack off cup holders is the only draw back to this amazing super cool, quiet comfortable car,a lot people out there,seem to judge the French cars, quite negatively without even driving them, trust me,drive a ds5 ,and I call it a smile every mile.

Micros aren’t safe cars Volvo XC 60 a safe car don’t know who would want to drive their kids around in microwave but the s**t people done. I don’t know why.

Had this model scenic for a few years, then a piccasso, and for the last 12yrs the mk 2 scenic which never let me down, regrettably have just had to get rid of it due to mounting faults, electrics mainly but after 18 yrs any car will develop some faults. Liked the piccasso but much preferred the scenics

I own this car but a India version Suzuki Ritz... Its been 15 years and still i am driving with confidence without any major issues like engine problems.... I am getting 14 to 20 kmpl.

I purchased mine this year July 2025 in RED, in pristine condition for £6900 and she moves like a rocket especially in Sports Mode, comfortable and very smooth drive, would never change, only for a 190E Cosworth in Red same condition, no chance!!!

Just FYI, because this video goes a bit overboard: the L322 TDV8 Vogue SE was £58 000 when new, while the L320 TDV6 HSE was £50690. And the Sport was available with the 3.6 TDV8 for the 2010 (facelifted) model year. A 2012 is pictured in the video.
