Students of the O'Keefe Music Foundation did a cover of this song years ago that is kind of epic in it's own right. Even if you don't do a reaction you should check it out, if for no other reason than to be boggled by a 10 year old girl singing this, and a 13 year old boy NAILING the drum solo. And how crazy talented ALL the kids are in that video.
Agreed. I saw them at Ozzfest 2003. They were fucking brilliant. I’ve been a fan since 96 and they are literally the only band I get genuinely excited about new albums. Just a shame we have to wait YEARS at a time. Hopefully they release 1 more.
2001, 02 in my city, tiny crowds, 2011 at a festival (but the management had put them after Rammstein who had spent $10k on explosives, so there was only like 5000 of us in the rain), 2013 was amazing, and Leap Year night 2020, but the sound was muddy from way up the back.
I was a casual TOOL listener. Just what MTV played but then I heard this song on a sample player at the old Tower Records in Hollywood California. I heard this on one of those head sets where you could hear snippets of songs from an album. I left with my first purchase of a TOOL album Aenima which was released that week. And my TOOL journey began. This was back in 1996, spiral out 🤘🏾
I can't believe you just said "i feel like i'm opening my 3rd eye" after hearing 46&2. I listened to Tool for years when I was asleep and after some profound spiritual openings, it was like I rediscovered them on another level (but it was always there). you, young man, just gave a little hope for humanity in that how easily you tapped into that level of Tool which took me a very long time to discover. go see them if you get a chance and bring some ear plugs.
They played this song at the end of the movie Captain America. My son's friend stood up (throwing popcorn everywhere ) and let loose with "TOOOOOOOOOOL" right in the theatre. I think his girlfriend wanted to crawl under a seat. lmao Hilarious moment.
if TOOL comes to your city, you MUST go. It's worth saving for this. Stay home two or three Saturday nights but go. I've seen them twice because they rarely come here in Italy. However, I hope to see them for the third time this summer and in any case I will continue to go whenever there is an opportunity. Given their age you won't have many other opportunities now, so don't put it off
I have been to 5 TOOL shows ..each one better than the one before.. every time they play the song Jambi ..my face melts. Every damn time. watch the lyric video to Jambi you will not regret it
You are beginning to understand the magic Danny Carey wields with his drumsticks. Also, as mentioned, the O'Keefe Music Foundation's cover of this song is epic, and well worth a listen.
I second this. I think it’s good to just read through any Tool song’s lyrics before you listen to it. It will help you understand and you won’t know what is coming anyway. You’ll be less confused. 🌀
Since you love Tool and you’re doing more Zeppelin, I would suggest listening to No Quarter by Zep and then listening to Tool’s cover of it. Both are outstanding.
I think you may be primed & ready for The Grudge as your 5th song, an absolute banger! You would be hard pressed to find a metal/rock song that rivals it imo. Mind blown factor: 11 outta 10 ✌️
My favourite Tool track ever! And I’ve witnessed it live and it was outstanding! Rob, beg and steal if you have to buy a ticket to see them live trust me it’s worth it! 😎
Saw Tool live for the first time in Birmingham last year, was truly incredible, got tickets for the concert there next year. If you can get a ticket for it, do it, you won't regret it!
Your TOOL journey has just begun Brother, can't wait for you to discover their entire discography. I recommend listening to the song "The Grudge" next.
I'm starting to see how many comments your getting WOW! I don't know how you keep up I really appreciated that you took the time to respond to me a couple times, that truly meant the world to me thank you and I just want to let you know that I don't expect you to respond every time I comment I don't get butt hurt lol I'm going to keep sending you songs and hopefully you'll give them a shot
Now you need to do the craziest Tool song where Maynard almost raps in it. It is about an alien abduction from a man that is tripping out in the hospital. Lost Keys / Rosetta Stoned. Have to do both together to get the whole story. Do it with lyrics..it's insane! A very complex song!! Unlike any other Tool song!!
Here's my quick summation of the Tool catalogue - 1. Opiate - Raw, demo(ish), aggressive, fresh (if you appreciate the time it was written) and sets the stage exceptionally well as to what to expect for the catalogue. (my 1st Tool experience at age 9, and I'm now 40) 2. Undertow - Raw, dry analogue feel, statement making "we're here" vibes. (my personal fav) 3. Aenema - Heavy, beautifully polished, obviously comfy in their style and direction, articulate. Hugely powerful sound. (2nd fav) 4. Lateralus - Experienced, mature, spiritual, starting to change their skin. 5. 10,000 Days - I couldn't say, it's the only album I just can't stomach. Production is vile in comparison to the previous 2 albums. Maynard's voice had evolved from what I fell for. Everyone seems to love it tho, and was really a huge draw for the next gen of Tool fans. 6. Fear Innoculum - A VERY independent sounding band at this point. Weathered, very matured, no longer proving anything and clearly just loving making art. First listen for me was tough, but damn did it grow on me hard and fast. Absolutely no surprise why it beat Taylor Swift to take Billboard no.1 spot on release. I love this album more, knowing it triggered millions of so many kids who have no clue. I'm gonna get slaughtered here for this list tho I reckon hahaha! Just remember it's subjective, and nobody is an authority on Tool, EXCEPT Tool. Bro, try doing a marathon reaction to an album in proper track order for your Patreon. Tool albums are designed to be listened thru like you'd read a book, and they flow perfectly. You don't need album context to enjoy any of their stuff, but phukk it's worth it. Just my 2cents anyway. Big up bro!
Bro, keep up the Tool videos! Your reactions remind me of me in the 90s haha! And you're in for the ride of your life with Tool, most musically genius rock back ever. Period.
They are simply musical savants! All of them. Personally my favorite ever is Schism. I was introduced to this band on MTV with the song, Sober; both should be on your short list. There's an insane 15 min song named 7empest from their recent album that's just amazing (but maybe better for the car than a video - 15 mins is long).
I was just surprised you went through all of 'The Pot' and mentioned every member of the band except Danny. I have the reactions queued up in order and was gonna wait and see how long it took for you to say something about the drummer. Didn't take long! Subbed for further reactions bro, cheers.
Descending is my favorite tool song. At some point, you gotta get it in lol. Plenty of songs to do though. Plenty lol. The Grudge, Jambi are good to get after as well
@MollyBoyTV Please always go into these Tool videos with NO EXPECTATIONS Each of Tools songs are a different animal in their own right but they blend together to be the master class of sound that you are enjoying
Omg go to their concert. They sound just like you are listening to them at home. I took my 12 year old to her first Tool concert last year. 🎉 This is my favorite song. It tops a lot of them. But you have to understand that all the songs afterward, you can’t compare those because they didn’t exist yet so this album was HUGE! This album brought their sound together. It’s so great.
I love seeing peoples reactions to Tool’s songs for the first time. It’s great. You should definitely try and go. They are great live. How about a little Parabol/Parabola. It’s Awesome. Make sure the two songs in one together and not separate if that makes sense. Keep em up love watching them 🤘🏼
You're going to catch a Tool show as your first ever concert? That's amazing! Out of all the incredible bands I've seen and concerts I've been too, the absolute best I've ever seen were Tool shows, ever hands down.
Tool Live- Maynard (Singer) stands behind a wind screen shrouded while he sings most of the show. The Voice is just another instrument n the band. A unique music experience. Go see them!
As someone who has seen tool 18 times and going to see them in January for three shows Tennessee Charlotte and Atlanta if tool plays anywhere close to you find the money to go see them I promise it will be money well spent
On tuesday I seen them live again, please do yourself the chance of a life time. 🙏also they finished the concert with this classic mental-movie...I cry to every song lol
I'm having my 5th' Tool live experience in February. If you have a chance to go, GO. It may be your last chance, and if it's one experience you would regret missing if you knew, would be TOOL in concert. It's different. It's beautiful. The fans bring energy unlike anything else. Its truly an experience unlike any other. Not necessarily better, just different, and absolutely worth it. Spiral out!
IF you can get to the concert DO IT - trust my 57 year old ass. Missing out on bands live is one of the biggest regrets I have (like Page/Plant tour or AC/DC) and I saw Tool live and a ton of others. I still would find the cash for those big bands that I liked no matter what.
Ditto here. I've seen most of the bands I grew up listening to, but some got away and some I was just too young (like the Beatles) My biggest regret is not seeing Freddie Mercury!
You are killing it with these reactions bro! This is from the 1998 album AEnema. You should really check out the title track AEnema….learn to swim, learn to swim, learn to swim!
“I feel like I’m opening my third eye…”
Y’know, Tool has a song for that, too. 😁
Oh no he didn’t say that 😆 This kid was made for Tool 🤘🏼
Yep - at 10:06 😁
I love this kid
😂😂😂 that's Tool for ya.
Parabol parabola is the song that he needs to hear
Students of the O'Keefe Music Foundation did a cover of this song years ago that is kind of epic in it's own right. Even if you don't do a reaction you should check it out, if for no other reason than to be boggled by a 10 year old girl singing this, and a 13 year old boy NAILING the drum solo. And how crazy talented ALL the kids are in that video.
It's a stunning stunning cover
Best too cover Tool, love watching them kids blow this song up. Dannies during video for this is amazing as well
Voila... ruclips.net/video/mYKLvYGqaC0/видео.htmlsi=2QgW0Ye2IcWtD1WX.
Was my favourite tool cover until heard elephant revival doing schism, check that out
❤ most Amazing cover is okeefes!! HANDS DOWN AMAZING 😊🎉
One of the top 10 greatest rock/ metal songs ever in my opinion.
Every great Tool song (and this is one of many) could be another band's best work. It's just masterpiece after masterpiece...
The best Tool song is the next one you hear.
You absolutely HAVE to see the Danny Carey drum-cam version of "Pneuma".
Bro…this is 1996!!!! They were this good in 1996! Love watching your journey!
With that first drop you were expecting, Tool is so good at playing "just the tip" with their music 😂
Was gonna say that. You put it perfectly. You never know. That’s the mindfuck they go for. 😊
Genius way to put it!!!!
Finger deep within the borderline
Slide a mile six inches at a time
Tool is the best live act in the world. You MUST go. Stage/light show alone is worth the price of admission.
I have seen them 5 times every show was amazing
You MUST see them live! They are absolutely stunning live!
Agreed. I saw them at Ozzfest 2003. They were fucking brilliant. I’ve been a fan since 96 and they are literally the only band I get genuinely excited about new albums. Just a shame we have to wait YEARS at a time. Hopefully they release 1 more.
can't wait to see them in LA in February
2001, 02 in my city, tiny crowds, 2011 at a festival (but the management had put them after Rammstein who had spent $10k on explosives, so there was only like 5000 of us in the rain), 2013 was amazing, and Leap Year night 2020, but the sound was muddy from way up the back.
I would love to see them but it’s expensive
I was a casual TOOL listener. Just what MTV played but then I heard this song on a sample player at the old Tower Records in Hollywood California. I heard this on one of those head sets where you could hear snippets of songs from an album. I left with my first purchase of a TOOL album Aenima which was released that week. And my TOOL journey began. This was back in 1996, spiral out 🤘🏾
Gotta check out Tool’s “Stinkfist” the drop on that song is probably the best ever
Tool changes another life. Great to see and welcome aboard.
Tool has the benefit of a brilliant mind at drums. Mathematically perfect. Very technical.
If you have never been to a concert before and have the opportunity to go see Tool live, you need to make it happen. You'll be a changed man after
If you liked the drum run. You should watch the "Pneuma" Danny Carey Drum cam video. It is a whole other level.
My first exposure to Tool was Lollapalooza 1997. Been enjoying the ride they take me on and the stories they tell ever since. Welcome to the party.
tool would be unreal for your first concert dude, totally worth it if you can afford the tickets
This is my favorite Tool song! Freakin’ love it!
They played this song at the end of the movie Captain America. My son's friend stood up (throwing popcorn everywhere ) and let loose with "TOOOOOOOOOOL" right in the theatre. I think his girlfriend wanted to crawl under a seat. lmao Hilarious moment.
Would have loved to have seen it
You have to go!!! Greatest live band in History. Only bad thing is its downhill from there
This is my favorite Tool song hands down. Spiral out bro
if TOOL comes to your city, you MUST go. It's worth saving for this. Stay home two or three Saturday nights but go. I've seen them twice because they rarely come here in Italy. However, I hope to see them for the third time this summer and in any case I will continue to go whenever there is an opportunity. Given their age you won't have many other opportunities now, so don't put it off
You should check out their song Sober live to see the band & hear Maynard's range & stage presence - you'll tear up Gauranteed!
this is one of my all time favorites from tool
I have been to 5 TOOL shows ..each one better than the one before.. every time they play the song Jambi ..my face melts. Every damn time. watch the lyric video to Jambi you will not regret it
It never stays chill with TOOL mate. Always a surprise and always a journey. Welcome my friend...
You are beginning to understand the magic Danny Carey wields with his drumsticks. Also, as mentioned, the O'Keefe Music Foundation's cover of this song is epic, and well worth a listen.
Go to the show !! Have seen them in the US, Canada & Ireland. Germany is next 25 May ;))
Never disappointed. The visuals are awesome ....
Anything from Tool my man! You can't go wrong
TOOL has a lot of great music, over 30 years and they just get better, the most amazing band ever! I listen to TOOL daily it's mind medicine!
Tool is on a whole other level I lovvvve them so much and this is one of my favorite songs from them you will enjoy the Tool journy 😊❤😊
Stick with it man they truly don’t have a bad song. Every track brings next level energy and intensity
Except maybe Flood. That one really takes a few listens to really get it
Great song yea?
I recommend The Grudge next.
Its another heavy banger!
And have the lyrics on hand, enjoy!
YES, 100%. Great choice!
I second this. I think it’s good to just read through any Tool song’s lyrics before you listen to it. It will help you understand and you won’t know what is coming anyway. You’ll be less confused. 🌀
Not wrong. One of my favorites, but I always say that
This is literally my favorite song of all songs. thanks for doing it!
Since you love Tool and you’re doing more Zeppelin, I would suggest listening to No Quarter by Zep and then listening to Tool’s cover of it. Both are outstanding.
OMG YYYYYYEEEEEEESSSSSSSS
I think you may be primed & ready for The Grudge as your 5th song, an absolute banger! You would be hard pressed to find a metal/rock song that rivals it imo. Mind blown factor: 11 outta 10 ✌️
Tool is the best band live you will ever see
Hey, I've seen 50 concerts.. I've seen tool 3 times. They were always the best. Dont miss it.
I think Jambi or Aenima would be good to follow this one with. Spiral out!
With TOOL, always expect the unexpected !!!
Flying from Ireland to see them in Birmingham in May. You need to gooooooo 🌀
This is definitely one of my favorite TOOL songs!!!
My father's generation has pink floyd and my generation has tool and they will both live forever
My favourite Tool track ever! And I’ve witnessed it live and it was outstanding! Rob, beg and steal if you have to buy a ticket to see them live trust me it’s worth it! 😎
Sober, way back when got me hooked on Tool
One of my favorite songs.
This is on the Ænima album… just like Lateralus, EVERY SONG is amazing.
Saw Tool live for the first time in Birmingham last year, was truly incredible, got tickets for the concert there next year. If you can get a ticket for it, do it, you won't regret it!
90s were the best musically. 90s and 70s.
Can't change my mind.
Your TOOL journey has just begun Brother, can't wait for you to discover their entire discography. I recommend listening to the song "The Grudge" next.
I'm starting to see how many comments your getting WOW! Too soon for Rosetta Stoned, let him tune in a little bit more before that one. 😉
Not sure that he's ready for that yet
Welcome the Tool Rabbit hole, dude you will never escape
Every member of this band are the best at what they do. Period.
Welcome to the Tool army 😊

Tool probably has more signature changes than any other band.
They are simply musical savants! All of them. Personally my favorite ever is Schism. I was introduced to this band on MTV with the song, Sober; both should be on your short list. You need to do a reaction video on Danny when he plays "Pneuma" it's crazy the time signatures. Do It!!!
Two words…THE GRUDGE.
Bruh, great reaction. I'm an old man and your reaction reminds me of when I first heard this the day it released. Great reaction. Keep going!!
Glad you enjoyed
Descending is my favorite tool song. At some point, you gotta get it in lol. Plenty of songs to do though. Plenty lol. The Grudge, Jambi are good to get after as well
the greatest thing is all their songs are based on a mathematic sequence, even some release dates
@MollyBoyTV Please always go into these Tool videos with NO EXPECTATIONS
Each of Tools songs are a different animal in their own right but they blend together to be the master class of sound that you are enjoying
You really need to go see them live! They are amazing! It a whole experience and you will not be disappointed.
Danny Carey - Tool's drummer. There's a video of him playing Pneuma live and it is OFF THE CHAIN. must-see, bruv. You'll thank me later
It’s so great.
these guys are the kings of *time signature* changes...that's kinda what brings that feeling of controlled chaos to their beats...
"Sober" "Schism"
I've seen them in concert twice. They are incredible. If you're able, go to the concert.
You can't afford not to go. A lifetime of regret is a high price.
I'd love to see you react to "Descending" by Tool. It's proof you don't need drugs to get high!
Absolutely
Yes!!! Totally!
Agreed
They do help though 😂
I love seeing peoples reactions to Tool’s songs for the first time. It’s great.
You should definitely try and go. They are great live.
How about a little Parabol/Parabola. It’s Awesome. Make sure the two songs in one together and not separate if that makes sense.

Gotta check out Pneuma, but make sure you grab the "Danney Carey live drum cam" version! So sick!
Yes, this!
Tool Live- Maynard (Singer) stands behind a wind screen shrouded while he sings most of the show. The Voice is just another instrument n the band. A unique music experience. Go see them!
her's a tool song...live in Seattle...Layne sings opiate with atbag on his face...second the crowd hears his voice...they go nuts
ruclips.net/video/lPLiGmDn_BI/видео.html
7empest. You won't be disappointed!
If you see them live...please post your post-concert reaction...my bet is you will be goosebumps and tears the entirety of the set.
My favorite Tool song. I hope you have the lyrics on hand.
Tool is amazing live!
The Grudge and Schism are an absolute must!
This song absolutely jams my dude. So technical…they are unreal live, you gotta go man.🤘
Whatever it costs go see them. Just saw them again 2 months ago. Best I’ve seen them. And I’ve seen them 5 times. Greatness
Saw these guys in Edmonton. Please do yourself a favour and catch one of their shows next year in uk. CHEERS
You gotta find a way to go to their concert!! So happy to you do this song ! ❤
My favorite TOOL song love 46 & 2. Also if you haven't already try out their cover of Led Zeppelins No Quarter.
I got this album when it came out and i swear it's all I could listen to for like a year.
Glad ya liked it!
You absolutely need to watch the drum cam of them playing Pneuma
I'm having my 5th' Tool live experience in February. If you have a chance to go, GO. Ditto here. I've seen most of the bands I grew up listening to, but some got away and some I was just too young (like the Beatles) My biggest regret is not seeing Freddie Mercury!
Congrats on hitting the 10k mark!! the Toolfam is here for it. Keep going. :0)
You are killing it with these reactions bro! This is from the 1998 album AEnema. You should really check out the title track AEnema….learn to swim, learn to swim, learn to swim!
Tool's MUSIC makes you grow shave, MollyBoy ... 😎😉
Here for it!
