VAN CONVERSION: DIY Reversible Cushion Covers + Mattress Cutting

- My van bed is complete now that I've added custom cut foam mattress cushions and flippable cushion covers! In this video I show you how I did it.
Lots of people choose to get upholstery foam custom cut and cushion covers professionally made for their van bed, however it's completely possible to DIY. There are so many foam mattresses available and they're surprisingly easy to cut. Plus, doing this myself has allowed me to custom pick fabrics to match my theme.

You may have noticed I made a mistake with the direction of the floral fabric on the back cushion. I thought sooo hard about which way it should go. I got it right of the others but unfortunately I didn't factor in that it would be sitting upright. It just means I now have the minor inconvenience of needing to flip this cushion along the short edge to change the design.

I notice that your configuration calls for vertical cuts, but horizontal cuts might have been more suitable for sleep comfort.

Hahaha I actually created a little trinket out of the cork from the bottle of champers we drank the day I bought the van and it's now hanging on the rear view mirror
