The Night Star is the same tack driver as yours, difference is cosmetic. The gun was accurate right outta the box.! What a joy to shoot! Once you get used to the .45 recoil ( big difference between them and 9mm) they are super fun to shoot. ! Totally different recoil impulse, more of a "push" than a snap!!

Farthest shooting with a .45 is 50 yards one handed in bullseye/precision pistol competition. Colt. I too have a Kimber Shadow Ghost I use in 2 gun competition. Extremely accurate, a joy to shoot.

That first mag, you looked a little intimidated. The Kimber Shadow ghost is next on my list very soon to buy. When I was in the U.S. Marines, we did our pistol qualification with 1911 .45 acp all the way out to 50 yards. But our service 45's was junk and had to aim off target at rocks or clumps of grass to hit the 50 yard targets. I won't own anything other than a 1911 .45 acp. Thanks for the video! Nice!!! I killed a deer at 110 yards away with a Colt 1911 .45. Semper Fi

Put a deposit on a used one, was looking to get a colt but fell in love with this thing. Will be paying 711$ OTD… I’m in NJ where everything is taxed and inflated due to availability.

Great video. I have found that Remington and Winchester white box hps seem to work the best in 1911s In general. Some 1911s don't like certain hollow points because of the shape. I have seen hst and critical duty jam up before but every gun is different. I know Winchester makes a hollow point specifically designed for 1911s. Thanks for the videos!

Stumbled across this vid I have the same weapon and really enjoy it. Put 1000s of rounds thru it. Actually shoots as good as a few of my more expensive CZs. The .45 is sweet I did notice that you close your eyes before the shot I know its hard really hard to keep them open anticipating the explosion we call it, there are drills to fix that have someone else put in a few snap caps not knowing where they are in the mag it will show all kinds of shit that we do, takes time even the best in the world do it sometimes, keep both those peepers open and your shooting will go to another level. Nice gun good vid.

Kimber does make a nice pistol but my lw had the worst trigger of all the Kimber handguns I have ever owned. Gritty and felt like been in a sandbox. Owell ended up rebuilding with great trigger

100 yards with a Colt Defender. Held about a foot above the target and hit mid torso. It was at the sportsman club, and a guy came by and said you can't hit anything with a short barrel .45. Well I showed him, but I quit while I was ahead after the first shot . . . LOL

I was eyeballing the Springfield Operator constantly, went to Cabella's to pickup a SW M&P 2.0 that I bought online used them for the FFL. While I was there I saw a Kimber Custom LW and bought it too. Beautiful gun, I have not had a chance to fire it yet. But I still find myself eyeballing that Springfield Operator and I am a little sad I didn't hold out for it.
