just gotta use replica dummy grenades and set up the explosives separately so it's more predictable as they've done, it would've been a lot more dangerous if he had to run from an actual cooking grenade, safety's still important

I have a suggestion for you. Though rare, there are stories about refrigerators exploding on their own. I suspect it is a result of the high pressure of the refrigeration building up inside the compressor and condenser, and possibly the evaporator. Probably a result of moisture inside the refrigerant forming ice or a something else clogging the line. Though it doesn't involve explosives, they seem to make one hell of an explosion, taking out the whole fridge and even walls within a home.
It's fridges that use propane or isobutane as the refrigerant. Compressor windings get deteriorated, a spark happens , and then it ignites the refrigerant which is under pressure. BOOM!
