GREAT VIDEO...this is why the US is changing from the 556 to the 6.8....you demonstrated what happened again and again in Afghanistan. The Afgans stayed high in the mountains and shot down on the bases ..staying far enough back with PKMs and even lobbing in AK rounds...It rendered the m4 useless in many situations...The M4 goes to crap after 400 yards. Wish you would of looked up the hold over and first tried without dialing but then dialed also...well as much as you could...sure you would run out if adjustment..Really just curious what the crazy hold over is and what the rounds do at that extreme range.. I think you represented what most soldiers did...just sprayed and hoped they hit something. With this new round they will be able to engage out to a thousand yards and the new scope (they say) will auto range and dial...all they have to do is put crosshairs on target and shoot... pretty big upgrade vs in my day everyone was rocking Irons only and very few had reddots or acogs..
I would like to see what a large caliber deer rifle sounds like, something like 300 win mag, 300 short mag, 7mm mag, 22-250, something fast with a lot of power. I bet the crack off these would be loud.
Another great video but look how far your target is away I think you done pretty good to get anywhere around it. Love your walkie-talkie communication that gave me a real good laugh!
Wanted to say that watching you do full auto gave me insight on why my rapid fire shots were doing what they were doing on the target. I noticed that my rapid fire shots would lay a pattern up and to the right. I didn't understand why. I saw another video that suggested changing stance, so I did. And I noticed that helped a lot. So instead of left foot forward which feels correct and comfortable, I did right foot forward which feels awkward BUT resulted in a more centered grouping. And as I mentioned, watching you do full auto makes me understand why. You're doing the same thing -- your left foot forward stance puts your right shoulder at an angle. The recoil then ends up pushing your right shoulder back which makes the muzzle move progressively to the right with each shot. You can see that @8:50 If you do right foot forward your shoulder (presumably) ends up more square and solid and stabilizes aim better. Seems like to me at any rate. Open to suggestions, correction, criticism, and insults if need be. I'm new at this.
Edwin can't afford a remote target camera at this point? Poor Gasparito lol! It's all fun and games until someone loses an eye. Or worse. At least they are scientists and have thought all this out so it's perfectly safe 😁
Very beautiful. I liked this idea. It was not presented much. I do not feel bored. I hope that the series will continue for 1 mile with all kinds of weapons. Thank you
This is something I would watch more of!! You should try using a big sheet of paper with circles from 6 inches to a few feet and see how close it is getting plus you can mark previous hits. Still awesome

@9:05 If we're going with proper CEOI, you can't say "repeat" That's reserved for when adjusting for fire (artillery) and telling the battery to reshoot the same mission. LOL. THIS video had me cracking up when you two were talking about "proper codes" I hope you were having as much fan as it looked. I know I was cracking up and having fun.
I have watched a few of your videos...today you earned that subscribe. I would love to have you do this with a 240b or even 249 LMG from up on the hill at 1.8 mile. Would show the effect of beaten zone.
Did you adjust the rear iron sight (elevation) on the AK for 250yrds? Looks like you were shooting low. Thats about a 10 to 15 inch drop at that range.
You guys need to build a little box made of bullet proof glass, put some ventilation holes in it, make it with hinges so it can be easily transported. It can be a good back up way to assure nobody gets killed by one of those freak incidents. But excellent video.
I love how now instead of a spotter, we just get Jasperi and friends behind concrete blocks and shoot targets at them while they hide behind it lol. It's the, "it's better when you're there" feeling lol.
You won't get me hiding behind simple rocks down range like this ever! Rounds going down range tend to do funny things called ricochet! Rounds routinely bounce and tumble backwards off of simple lumber or other rocks nearby. Only takes one ricochet to end a nice day at the range. Hiding behind rocks is quite inadequate protection. I know, I've had rounds tumble backwards and hit my head and chest, both times very lucky. One time the round velocity had significantly decreased, the other with chest protection. If I'm not mistaken, the rounds this person is firing are likely already tumbling by design. Making ricochets even more fun. Like one person stated, try some tracers at dusk/night, if you can legally find some and legally use them.

I have an Echo trigger an it is a lot harder to control than people think. I prefer binary triggers over semi or full auto personally. Got the speed if I need it! Too expensive too shoot so mostly it stays on semi. 3 settings btw for a binary trigger. Safe, Semi aka Hunting or Target Practice Mode, and Defense aka Echo FAFO Mode!

if nothing else, this is a pretty accurate representation of what fighting the taliban was like
Pretty effective way of supressing tbh. I'd hide from even a badly aimed spray from that distance. Sounds like it could hit anywhere.
thats desert warfare, not just taliban. You cant really surprise the enemy up close in those terrains thus all of the long range attacks and snipers
It was a mistake to use 5.56 weapons. They should have used 7.62 weapons.

Hi Edwin. I have an idea - how about shooting long range targets with some tracers rounds around sunset time? P.S. Gasparito is an amazing cameraman!

Without factoring in gravitational pull across a monstrous hole in the earth plus the Cornhole Effect..lol..Spray 'n' Pray!!
1000 yards = 914.4 metres

On AK rear sight you have a scale (chingalera) from 0 to 10 where 1 means 100 meters so you just need to adjust it to the estimated range.
