The wings of liberty on the gambeson is so cool! Excelent vídeo :)
Thanks ;-)
As i practised Jiu Jitsu and Judo i love this kind of video, keeps it simple and clear.
Excellent video my friend. I really like how you mashed commonalities of the different italian masters into a simple, yet sophisticated drill. 😊
Thank you ;-) ;-)
Splendid. I know what I'll be practicing in the evening.....
Nice!
Fantastic video. I'm new to Fiore and HEMA in general and I've been looking for ideas in solo training to help remember and practice technique.
Very good! Good training then ;-)
@@FedericoMalagutti thanks! Your videos have helped a lot between classes.
This will make solo training so much more entertaining, ty for putting this together for us, your forms are so relaxed and graceful.
Thank you very much!
Something I shall work on and master, very well done! Been doing HEMA for about 2 weeks myself. Thanks for the vid!
Your form is incredible, I was in awe the whole video. The old maestros would be proud
Thank you very much ;-)
Great drill! Anything that starts with the zenghiaro beat and attack will be at home in my repertoire :D
LoL Jeff!!!
Thank you for this, this is a perfect thing I can add to my regular routines to work on longsword fundamentals!
You are most welcome
My favourite video of yours
Une vidéo parfaite ! 🤗
Great Stuff, thx for the work
You are welcome!
Amazing. Like a witcher 😎🤺
Epic! Thanks for the demonstration, Fede! I took loads of notes
You are welcome!!
Excellent video Federico.👍
Thank you!!
Thank you for your great work ! I just had my first hema lesson, and I’m proud to say you and Matt Easton motivated me. Cheers from France !
Well done!!! I wish you good training:-)
Una bella sequenza! Complimenti per la spiegazione e l’esecuzione
Grazie mille! ;-)
Nice job! I think that creating forms is a good way to really think anout pedogogy and it forces one to think about their style in terms of what the “basic” techiniques are.
Absolutely agreed;-)
Splendid form and excellent video, as always! It's as if Agnelli grabbed a feder and performed an excellent mix drill😁. You do look a lot like the current president of JUVENTUS my friend, I'm sure you must have been told. And since La Signora is off to a bad start this season HEMA is a very good way to overcome anger and stress. Thank you for that and cheers from Greece...
Ahahahahahah! Thank you very much ;-)
Que Viva!
Such a pretty feder. I can console myself that mine is rare as an early model so it will be a collector's feder in a century lol
Ahahahahahah! To be honest, it doesn’t matter if it’s old or new, I like it to be handy and “good feeling” ;-)
*GET THIS MAN A ODM HARNESS*
Only now do I recognise the last part; it is in Marozzo's Spadone First Assault Part 5 or 6 which covers the sword grapple.
It’s also a play of the sword in one hand of Fiore, which is to be intended as a “branch” of the Longsword in general. ;-)
Marozzo, Vado and Fiore share maaaanu more things than what it may appear btw!
Would you mind doing a new video comparing the three ensifers: kron, corona and redd? I understand you have reviewed the first two. thanks!
Hi Federico, Love your work! Can you tell me about your Feder? I'm in the market for a new one, and yours looks interesting!
Hi, as any other new tool I’m going to review it in a video ^^
👍
Very cool. Is it possible to mix Meyer's square into this drill ?
Well, I would consider the two things conceptually different. One is a cutting drill to learn how cuts relate to each other in various ways, my one is more a selection of drills/actions. I prefer to keep things simple generally speaking, so I would say, just do one and then the other, you'll get the best from both ^_^
There are endless options to use Parts of the Meyersquare in this kata.
For example every time you end up in plugguard or in ochsguard, you can cut parts of the meyersqaure. After ending up in plug or ochs again, you can continue with Federicos kata.
The guards ochs and plug are reference points to start many different actions. This way you can develop your own kata.
@@eulenspiegel6689 absolutely, it is possible to create endless forms!
I would suggest to use the form as it is otherwise, mainly because I studied it so that every action, couple of actions or even triad, actually works together in sparring, based on my experience of course!
So before adding curry wurst to carbonara, try out carbonara by itself!
The question was, Is it possible to mix Meyer's square into this drill ? The answer to that question is yes, that‘s all i‘m saying. It’s a personal decision, if someone like to do this or not. Don‘t feel insulted by my comment, there is nothing wrong with your combination of movements.
But it is important to understand the difference between a play and a kata.
A play is ment to disable your opponent in a effective way.
A kata on the other hand is aiming at a different goal. It‘s more about coordination. The idea of a kata is to control movemends in a concentrated way, to improve the communication between mind and body.
So a kata doesn‘t need to make sense in a sparring situation in the first place. It could by of course, but it‘s not necessary. I could show you many Karate or Jiu Jitzu kata, which doesn‘t make sense in a fighting situation at all.
This means you could add as many cuts or thrust as you like to. Of course you can leave it the way it is, or making it more challenging.
@@eulenspiegel6689 I wasn’t offended at all, and I practiced many Kata based Arts ;-)
Just pointed out what was my organization of the form meant for ^_^
Nice video and nice longsword. Is That Gothic from Sigi?
Concept
@@FedericoMalagutti ah very nice. Looks a bit similiar like Gothic. I order two months Ago King. Cannot wait to try it.
I wonder what did you think of the ending of AoT?
Where can I get the based gambeson?
SPES historical fencing
ATTACK OF TITAN!!!
Ma la giacca di AoT? 🤣 Dove le vendono?
LoL. L’ho modificata io ;-)
