Wow this drill is very similar to katori shinto ryus tenshin shodan. Theres a video on tsukuhara bokuden's "ichimonji" that ends with a similar grab and thrust at the end.

Nice video，Federico. Hope everything works out for you . BTW, I got my sigi queen and the blade sings like a tuning fork whenever it hits something solid. I'm not sure whether this vibration is benign or not. What's your opinion on vibrating swords?

It probably just happened by chance that some part of the blade touches the cross from the inside, sometimes happens. It should not create you any problem. Anyway you can ask the guys at Sigi to be sure, they are cool people and they will answer for sure.
