WOW I had some shiny brites once but sold them. I regret doing that. That really is the find of a lifetime. The way you reacted to the striped ones tells me that you MUST keep one of each type of striped sets for your own tree. Put a tree in your bedroom and decorate with those every year. They bring you joy and they can also signify your first Christmas together in your home as a married couple.
Karen, I just love your warm and fun-loving personality blended with your top-notch business sense. Who care if you can't please all the people all the time? I loved your last video with the visit to the Cocalico Corners shop (sorry if I misspelled that). It's a beautiful store and I enjoyed seeing the texture, colors of the items along with your reactions. You have such an artistic eye. Go back anytime and share it with your loyal friends. Have a happy Thanksgiving - we're thankful for you!😘
Karen my eyes are just watering like crazy, watching you and Roger going thru the Shiny Brite ornaments. Remembering my childhood at Christmas having these same ornaments with Mom and Dad. They have passed now even the decorations, and Remembering the cardboard fireplace. Really enjoyed the longer video
My mother is 98, and still has “all her marbles”. I just bought her a new Alfred Dunner top! Cheers to that brand for keeping the over 80 ladies looking sharp and pretty!
I love finding antique Christmas ornaments. My friend told me to buy this box of ornaments from this garage sale years ago. The guy was a dealer but he got them out of the attic of his house. Some were Victorian and very nice ones. Best find of ornaments ever. I didn't even know much about them but took her advice. Thanks for sharing, love your videos
I have 4 boxes of Shiny Brite ornaments-- they were from my family. Please keep a couple of boxes for yourself! You won't be sorry. They're beautiful!❤
Wow😊 amazing. I was at that flea market end of October and there were only a few vendors. You hit jackpot! Now I I’m going back next year! Happy holidays!❤
Love your videos. Yes keep some ornaments for you and Roger as a memory of your first year of married life. You deserve it. Glad you bought them all. Such a great find!
Lots of people like Zara, but that blouse with the bow sleeves. What a nightmare that would be dragging those bows through the Christmas gravy on your plate. lol Love love love cozy. I don't buy for resale but do pop into thrift stores now and again and I think I would go blind trying to wade through the black tops. Now that is a chore for sure. I like a little variety in your videos now and again. Whatever nonsense you get up to is fine with me. I think the guy who sold you the box of vintage ornaments on the last day of the flea market probably thought, "oh what the heck - they are seasonal items and I might just clear them out". Good score!
Karen there was a video on RUclips just yesterday from handmade home and there were three people that decorated their house in vintage Christmas decor. Almost all of the Christmas balls were from Shiny Brite and the treasured them. I grew up with Shiny Brite on our Christmas tree every year the same Christmas ornaments that were accidentally ruined one year when my parents use some spray snow on the tree and it wouldn't come off the ornaments. Still we use them for a while longer and they bring back such memories in the photos and just watching you unpack them! I can see why they're so valuable!
Karen, I feel embarrassed for the rude person who criticized you for shopping regular retail. I love that kind of shopping trip bcs upscale home decor stores have inspiring ideas plus insight into what to look for in thrift stores. Your beautiful clothing hauls make me sad bcs my area has very poor clothing choices. We have no malls or high-end stores/brands, so our Goodwills rarely have top brands. They mostly have wornout Walmart stuff. I live on a remote island where people hold on to things for a long time. By the time they donate to Goodwill, the items are tired and worn😢 I greatly envy resellers like you who have access to so much great stuff!
Karen, This is a wonderful video. The first part with all the clothing was great. And then we got to the flea market. Oh my, the ornaments are to die for. What an absolute steal on them. They appear to be in pristine condition, too. Congrats on your amazing find! 💝
Shiny brutes are so beautiful. Reminds me of my childhood. Only a few remain. My sister broke one every year she was so excited. Thanks for the wonderful memories!
Hi Karen. Oh i love Shiny Brites. I have 2 boxes that were my Mom's neighbor and she gave them to me. I love your find. How amazing. They are great. I also love the Santa. vase. I truly enjoy your videos. Take Care. God Bless You , Roger , and Your Family.
Wasn’t that super sweet of Roger to think of you when he’s out working, and not even in his regular section!! You lucky woman, right!? 😉 (I even been wearing a jacket I bought from you, getting compliments! 👍) Oh, you just bought something for Roger’s store! So, he’s lucky to have you too!😂👍
I just started my own youtube channel, and I gotta say - you are absolutely right! It is EVERYTHING to have the support and help of your family and friends. Even before I started the channel, my husband and kids have always helped me out and supported me. The reselling gig ain't for the faint of heart!
I love those ornaments we had those ornaments when I was young , somewhere around 1975 -1979 , I believe. I absolutely love how you tell us about the names of clothing and , where they come from. You are so lucky as Roger seems to be such a happy person , he makes you happy when he smiles, you can't help but to smile. I've been watching you for quite some time and was happy for you both when you got married
Karen, love all of the vintage ornaments. The craftsmanship from Austria and Germany is unsurpassed. I would keep a few boxes for that cute tree of yours. Its wonderful that the two of you weathered the cold and came home with such a profitable box. I'd say easily $50 a box. Good Luck
I make pottery and love that you love pottery! I love it too! ❤ don’t listen to negative, you have plenty of followers that love wherever you go! If I don’t care for a place I’ll skip it, I’d never tell you a negative comment! 😊
Most of those Shiny Brites are from the 1950s. A few might be from the ‘40s (post WWII), but I’d need a closer look to say for sure. Congrats on this awesome find!
Thanks for ALL of your content. Can't believe some people feel they have the right to make negative comments. I read all of the comments each video and the vast majority of your subscribers love you. Just ignore the ignorant few.
Thank you for looking for Made In The USA! My family owns a clothing manufacturing business. We always promote Made In The USA apparel. You are right, the quality is so much better, and it supports families like mine. Ohhhhhhhhhhhh, the Shiny Brite ornaments are absolutely fabulous. Amazing find.
Hello from London I've followed you for about 4 years now my son has heard you when I've watched you and said what a lovely soothing voice you have and I agree as a reseller I so have to find myself a Roger match made in heaven the pair of you I've got excited before with your finds this time I was in awe and was just excited as you
Karen, pay no mind when people complain, even when I do it.😊 I admire your knowledge of clothing labels, I try to remember when I shop thrift for myself. Also as a retired woman, comfy clothes are my passion. The thought of having to get "dressed" up🤦🏽♀️. Much love❤
I love love love your long videos! Thanks for sharing your knowledge on thrifting and selling! Also…. Thank you for not spending a whole video on the bad comments you receive. When a channel starts doing that it takes all the fun out of that channel.
I totally understand why some mornings you feel like stopping. I sold resale vintage on Etsy when they were in their infancy. I sold for five years. Weekly auctions (in person) were my main source of inventory. The shipping was brutal. Listing with the photos was taxing for me on some days. Thank goodness for our husbands who helped. I got to the place where I depended on my husband to go to the post office, because everything had to be weighed in those days AT the p.o. ugh Some of the employees would be rude and toss my well prepared packages across the room into bins. No matter if I wrote FRAGILE, it was still tossed. So, I dreaded that part. My husband took over taking everything to the p.o.Thank you to my Sweetie! I give you so much credit for all you do and as you said, it's so much better when you have a helper like Roger.❤
Wowzaaaaa!!!! Those ornaments, we do not get shiny brights that I have ever found in canada, who ever owned those took excellent care of them, they look new in the box most of them and Karen YOU DESERVE to keep the striped ones that bring you such joy, it can be a EPIC memory find you and your hubby had what a great memory that would be, you deserve a tree filled with the striped oornaments that make you smile and warm your heart ( you worked hard all year you deserve to enjoy those as long as you need once you enjoyed them for as long as you need then you can sell them or sell the ones that do not light you up and bring joy to your heart...) Hope you get to keep some for you two,not everday you find a box full ove beautiful vintage christmas ornaments that bring joy.
Wow! All those Shiny Brite ornaments are a great find. I have all the family ornaments from my childhood, many Shiny Brite, like new which I didn't realize until recently are so desirable.
Agree… the ornaments are beautiful. BTW…don’t pay attention to the person who didn’t like the store you brought us to….I loved it. Always nice to change things up now and then.
Thank you, as always, Karen, for another great video! I will never understand people who complain about FREE content that a creator works hard to bring to us. I am incredibly grateful to you & my other favorite creators for your time & efforts. Thank you! P.S. as everyone else has mentioned- the shiny brights are wonderful! I also love the pottery bowl!
You showed, then put back a Quaker Factory chambray/denim button up top with some bling? I think it was Quaker Factory anyhow.Curious why you didnt pick it up? I do very well with that brand, especially in bigger or Plus sizes.Lucky Brand does well, too especially in big/plus sizes.Wish my Goodwill was as big as yours!!
You are pushing yourself so hard. You remind me of me. But a few months ago, I reached the point of waking up in the morning to the thought that I CANNOT do this any more. My body and my mind and my soul had reached their limit. I wanted someone to take care of me, to be there for me, to rescue me, because I was done. Be aware of what your mind, heart, and soul are telling you. I love you. You are so beautiful inside and out.
SCORE!! Those ornaments are beautiful!! I was at an estate sale the other day and a woman was grabbing all the vintage ornaments she could stuff in a box. They were selling for 1.00 each and I just bet some if not all were shiny bright. Will be keeping my eyes open for those. I learned quite a bit today about the clothing too. Love your multiple cart days, Karen! My local and tiny thrift store had a $1 per blue tag clothes Fri-Sat and I got myself in there. Bought a lot of things and need to hurry and list. Love everything! What a find in those ornaments!
Karen you absolutely need to keep some of those .. I have the bells in their box -- Ours are from the 60's or early 70's .. They sell for WONDERFUL amts. I personally would have to keep those egg shaped ones .. they are super unique.
Your score on the ornaments has me excited to look through the Christmas treasures still waiting to be unboxed after Thanksgiving. How I miss coming home from school and seeing the tree up and waiting for my brother and me to string the lights, add the ornaments and then we all threw tinsel on the branches. It was magical!❤🎄

You are pushing yourself so hard. You remind me of me. But a few months ago, I reached the point of waking up in the morning to the thought that I CANNOT do this any more. I’m feeling fine but thank you! I always take a break when I need to
