If he goes boosted you're 100% going to need a bigger turbo. Those stock TD04's only do 300ish on E85, and a BWS is capable of more but you'll really only see gains on E85. BWS on pump might make 350ish on a real hot tune.

Great race, had SRT 4 back in 2004 when built right they punch above there class. Also props to OP for showing his L's most people don't have balls to do that.

The SRT4 is still a highly underrated car to this day. They can still be found in good condition for pretty unbelievable prices and will put down 400+ hp with the right mods. A serious competitor for the GTI and Si that was never really taken seriously, a true tuner car with great potential.

I never understood why people get so mad when they loose a friendly street race, They are fun no matter what. Good to see the comparison between the quick response of a high compression N/A engine that comes with some big cams vs a Low compression factory Turbo with some turbo lag. I bought a 2004 Pt Cruiser GT (the one that came with the SRT-4 engine) 5-speed manual for $500. I added a catless downpipe, HKS blow-off valve and a DiabloSport hand held tuner and it ran a 14.1 at 102mph spinning on winter tires. Nothing crazy but not bad for a cheap PT cruiser. No engine troubles yet and I've had it for around 5 years now

I had one that was right at 400hp back when these things were in their prime, don't doubt it. I gapped more than a few H/C Z06's back in the day.
I remember I was working for Dodge when the SRT4 came out and we got our first one in and there's nobody knew what it was and just thought it was a neon until I gave them a Ride Along needless to say we couldn't keep them in stock

I typically don't make these comments. But me personally I definitely prefer the srt-4. I'm just not impressed with a stock SI performance at all. My '17 passat with a 1.8t motor smokes them like it's nothing. But that is definitely a nice civic you have and man those shifts were fucking clean. You have my respect kind sir, you definitely do seem like a nice genuine individual

@@bibs5237 for real im surprised they do lmao. Honda weights 2886lbs and the srt4 weights 2900lbs. Not bashing on the honda like i said hondas are one of the best cars for its tuning capabilities. Its all respect to the civic since it makes 197hp and the srt4 makes 230hp the weight is a slight difference only. If this honda had all bolts on and tune it may just walk it tbh.

The only reason he took you to Gapplebee’s is because his was turbocharged. If you were turbocharged or supercharged, it would have been game over for that srt4. Nice to see a clean one though; they are getting rare.
The srt4 from factory is turbo ontop of that its a sedan it outweighs the civic lol. Not trashing on the hondas because everyone knows how capable they can be. So an srt4 is actually a surprise against jdms it is why it got hated so much. Its literally a sleeper you can buy.it even challenged suburas wrx. Not the sti because thats quicker lmao. But for sure a honda would go flying with light mods probably a full bolts on some internal mods and it may beat the srt4 if not maybe a small turbo but for a 4 door vs 2 door its awesome to see what the srt4 can do.

I have a PT turbo. It has a BWS turbo on it and makes 250hp on 18psi. The wastegate is all worn out now but used to hold 22psi. It still rips good. I love the Chrysler 2.4. Straight pipe one and it sounds like a truck lol. Ill be putting on a 3076 and fuel mods and hope to have it make around 400. I had this PT for 14 yrs now and its never once let me down. Good races and I love the sound of your Si bro. Boost that honda and youll walk a srt4 easy.
I used to work at a Dodge dealer 1994-98. And their turbo cars were the shit. Dodge Spirit RT turbo was a friggin animal. 1st thru 3rd was all over the road frying the damn tires. Even the Omni and Shadow were fun as hell. I never got the chance to drive the SRT Neon tho. Sure do miss that shit

The motor in them was what Mistu had planned to put in the Evo 8 before they decided to go with a 2.0, at least that is what the story was back when I owned one when they were new.

Ive been trying to find a 1st gen Neon, so I can drop a turbo’d 2.4L with a 5spd out of a PT cruiser GT. That’s my idea of a fun street car to build. Those motors are so simple/easy to work on, and parts are cheap. I used to dabble way back in the day (mid-late90s) in the 2L division of SCCA for fun, and had a 95 neon SOHC that I had built. “Flat top pistons, head port/polish’d, springs/cams, long tube headers, intake & etc” But that was way back before the SRT4 was even a thought. I’m digging the civic though, my built 2.0 I had back then reminds me a lot of your N/A civic. Anyways keep up the good work, I’m loving the videos.

The interior in the Neon looks like the typical 90’s domestic budget 4 cylinder vehicle style. All plastic and weird shapes everywhere. Turbo the k24 and rematch 😁

Friggen loved our SRT-4. Had it from may 03 until 2014. Only traded it off to get something bigger for the wife. She drove it all those years and put 200k on it drving it year round here in the midwest. Snow tires made it a mtn goat. Only ever needed a clutch and a left front axle. Was stage one with JMB exhaust and a bunch of dress up parts from JMB Performance. The guy that has it now uses it on the weekends and keeps it mint. sonofabitch won't sell it back me though.. :( Looks like you guys had fun and that's all that really counts.

Stage 2 is no joke. You guys have no weight + torque, so that gives you advantage on a lot of cars.

I own an 2012 Honda Si only runs 147 miles top speed with out a governor but this american 4 bangers are way beyond that tops speeds 195 miles an hour and they are not really a sport car..Honda is fun to drive and sounds bad ass but still a honda builded to last....yours it looks good..keep it up from your Honda Si's 😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎 friends from Puerto Rico

That k24 did pretty well against a turbo SRT 4 car. I’ve race one before myself back in the day and they are quick after boost kicks in but get them off the line. SRT knows what they are doing. Good video man. Throw a turbo on that and it would be moving.

Hector is going to be running 3 Honda Civics with spoon engines. And on top of that, he just went into Harry's, and he ordered 3 T66 turbos, with NOS. And a Motec exhaust.
As soon as his turbo kicks in he’s got you, would’ve been fun so see like 15-20 roll, you definitely have a lil more lead at first. But fuck yeah love seeing the Honda❤️❤️❤️
Don't feel too bad, I had a 2004 Intrepid with the 3.5HO running 250 hp 250 ft lb torque stock and raced my buddy's Neon SRT4, we were neck and neck till his turbo spooled up and then he pulled. They are sexy little 4 bangers, I'm actually getting a 2000 Neon tomorrow, standard 2.0 just for the economic need for my 100 mile one way work commute. My 99 Durango 5.9 is a heavy drinker if ya know what I mean...
They say there's no replacement for displacement.. I give you a 2.4 liter with a 6262 Garrett whistle missile....
