6:15 pucker factor 20!!! That bit was so close to that clamp! LOL Don't feel bad when you break a bit or clamp -- it will happen and is all part of this CNC journey. Goodness knows I've chewed up a few!
Very cool bro. I notice the program said you were using an upcut cutter. As a woodworker for 30 years with much cnc experience, it sounds counter intuitive i know, but try a downward spiral, it will leave a much nicer finish on solid timbers.
@@LandtoHouse Wow! That Baltic Birch is expensive stuff. But whatever you make with it will be top notch and should last forever. It’s getting harder to find too.
Nice little project. I am getting a carve king 2 in the next few weeks. I also have an Xtool d1. Looking forward to see what you do. Have a good weekend
@@mikelaba8985 Looks like you'll have that much travel in your z height, but the trickier part will be getting an end mill that long without running into run out or chatter issues with that long of a bit. Esp. from a trim router vs. a true CNC spindle.
It's all about the bit you use. I prefer compression bits, but they only work when your pocket depth is greater than the length of your bit's upcut section.
Check out Justin Rhodes video from today. They are looking for someone to help Jonah with a water wheel he has created. They are relatively close to you I think and it could bring a huge audience to your Chanel.
Sad but not the first time that has been mentioned. Stay true and keep on making your videos. I love them! Just wish it was not so flat here in eastern NC. Not much hydro here.
That looks like it is going to be way too much fun, I'm jealous!

So happy to see you join the CNC world! I wish we weren't 4 or 5 hours apart! I would hang out with you all the time!

Nice job
That looks like way too much fun! I predict a lot of wood being purchased and a lot of sawdust in your future! ;-) Pretty cool stuff!
That's funny. I just got in a Box of Baltic Birch plywood. As far as sawdust goes. Oh yes lots.

Very nice. The carve king has been working very well. After the initial adjustments on the stepper motors it has performed flawless.
hey buddy , i really love your videos !
I'm about to buy this very unit.
I've made a couple of things with this CNC. so far and it has been great. I just cut my 1st copper with it.
Does this unit cut up to 4" deep as advertised?

Sam craft this is what I expected. I'm curious how far this machine can be pushed. I purchased it will update in a few weeks once shipped
How do you like this cnc
How deep can you go with this machine
Thank you great vit
Did you have a hidden vacuum?
Can you post link for the easle cnc program
Yes. Easel is an online based program. This is the website:
www.inventables.com/technologies/easel
This is a cool program. Do you still use this or have you moved onto a new program?
I am still using this program. I do want to try some others at some point.
Thanks subscribing now
How do you get a cut without all the tear out?
It's all about the bit you use. I prefer compression bits, but they only work when your pocket depth is greater than the length of your bit's upcut section.
Use a downward spiral bit, never use up cut on solid timber. Compression cutters are good too but these are more for particle board and mdf.
What happened to all the shavings?
Most of the shavings went to the left of the machine on the floor.

I met the Rhodes family a few years ago. Sadly Justin was a real jerk. It was at a meet and greet even. I have not watched his videos since

@@chrishopper4375 Thank you. I have 1.5 months of videos filmed on ram pumps, hydro, and solar... just need to find time to edit 12 videos.
