The dude is still one of the best frontmans out there. Why skid row broke up is beyond me. Baz is one of those big personalities that you just can’t replace.
I think they proved a point with this video. I knew a lot of metal heads around me who thought they were just "hair metal" and it was all a joke, but aside from Sebastian Bach being like, 7 feet tall and kind of a short fuse, I don't think anyone around would have ever messed with them after this one. In spite of the truly disappointing reality of his weird opinions, I think the people on the stage during the performance were the "real" personalities, and what was shown in public was an act. No one writes, sings or plays instruments like that and then has zero going on in just their pretty heads.
Blame the faced up music industry for that. When RUclips came along, less cd 's were sold. It costs a lot more to produce and record a metal band than it does some rapper with a bunch of electric shit. I think or hope people will get tired of it and something better or different will come along.
3 years on from this comment and music still sucks...at least majority of US music. Gotta go overseas to get my heavy metal/rock fix from Sweden, Norway, Germany.

@@aenima1 not true they had the number one album for one week. And Van Halen came out the following week to take the number one spot. Far beyond driven came out 3 years later.
Actually, though the Crue was good, Skid Row blew them off the stage. It was promoting Skid Row's first album and Motley Crue had just released Dr. Feelgood. One insane concert.
This album was so much more grown up than the hair metal SR was lumped with on their first album. The songwriting, guitar tones, and of course Bas' vocals crushed anything other than GnR at that point in time. Its closer to Priest's Painkiller than anything Ratt or Crue was selling.
This band was big but should have been even bigger. My top 5 "hair metal" bands have always been WASP, Kiss, Dokken, Keel and have to include Stryper now cuz they are still rocking to this day. By far. One of the best metal albums of the 90s
That intro is great! Been a fan of sebastian since 89'. That voice is from the gods.
@Demon Hunters thanks
God damn I miss the good ol days
Trust me I Only Wish I Could take an turn time back to these type of great times great Music
we love him because he looked good, sounded awesome and had a great personality!
LOVE the guitar riff in this song.
Awesome song and album. I miss good, heavy music so much. I can’t believe how much music sucks today.
I hate to sound like the "cranky" old guy but yeah, music isn't nearly as good. Country, Hard Rock etc, the new stuff has zero substance.
@@truckinforjesus totally agree, it’s disappointing and frustrating.
Gotta go overseas to get my heavy metal/rock fix from Sweden, Norway, Germany.
when Pantera broke up they should have hired Bach so they could play their first album live. RIP Dimebag!
MAN ! 59 here this is SOOOOOOOO INTENSE & GREAT , PUTS Me right into 29 yr Old state of Mind !
Sorry to say he is the best front man & lead vocals today
Dude had the best hair
Rachel Bolan was on fire 😮😮😮 What a beautiful man ❤❤❤
He was my biggest crush back then
Sebastian Bach early 90s---->sexiest man on universe
Still is
Back off, he's mine! 😂😍
True
Damn straight!!!
Yes emphasis early 90s. Rachel I'll take him too
Whole album is underrated tbh
Not to me it's not.
@@dongill9650 - Your vote doesn’t count
an underrated album doesn't come out #1 on Billboard charts amongst all music genres lmao
@@panterap0wer it went to number one but had 0 hits and quickly slid off the charts
@@HattieJosh eh? monkey business and wasted time were on mtv and radio all the time. pure hits. quicksand jesus got quite a lot of play too.
I can remember the release of this album like it was yesterday. I can’t believe it’s 30 years old. I remember when it came out - the reaction was like “whoa, did SR really get THIS heavy?” Yes they did. Subhuman Race is in my top 5 rock albums of all time.
I agree with you ... I know most skid row fans won't agree with me but i think Subhuman Race is their best album and it is also one of my top five !!!! Bach is a monster in that album !!!
They had #1 Metal album for ONE day. Far beyond driven by Pantera came out next day and took the crown. Awkward since they were on tour together!
@@aenima1 not true they had the number one album for one week. And Van Halen came out the following week to take the number one spot. Far beyond driven came out 3 years later.
Hey r u the dude that came out on the movie Dukes of Hazzard?
So how old is sabastain Bock now
Skid Row and Bon Jovi was my 1st concert, but I really went for Skid Row!
Saw them with Motley Crue in Germany back in '90. Great show.
@@raymondking214 so cool, I bet Motley Crue was awesome
Actually, though the Crue was good, Skid Row blew them off the stage. It was promoting Skid Row's first album and Motley Crue had just released Dr. Feelgood. One insane concert.
@@raymondking214 Wow I bet! Lucky!
@@raymondking214 I saw skid row open for Aerosmith and then Pantera opened for them 3 years later....
Killer classic, man. Had the album on tape, too.
This album was so much more grown up than the hair metal SR was lumped with on their first album.
The songwriting, guitar tones, and of course Bas' vocals crushed anything other than GnR at that point in time. Its closer to Priest's Painkiller than anything Ratt or Crue was selling.
The Black Album?
What about shout at the devil and too fast for love
Best showman on stage ever
I like everything about this song but the drums always stand out to me as the best part. Rob Affuso made a masterpiece with this one.
He is the sexiest man with the best voice ever!!! He still has the most amazing voice even though he's gotten older!
I'm back for the leather pants and that yell at the beginning.
Cowbell
i really dont like this type music but that is pretty damn cool!
Just the yell really but, yeah
How about spandex
Just bought a pair today.
I was 14 when this came out, had just got my learners permit to drive, my grandma got to ride around alot listening to this & she didnt mind...
0:00-0:35 "pretty quiet song I like it"
@0:37 "my speaker just blew... WORTH IT"
This band was big but should have been even bigger. My top 5 "hair metal" bands have always been WASP, Kiss, Dokken, Keel and have to include Stryper now cuz they are still rocking to this day. But this band here should have been bigger than Def Leppard, Bon Jovi and Guns n Roses. Wished all the original members would put their problems behind them and reunite while they still can. Come on guys...do it for your fans!
Still my go to Skid Row favorite.
I remember hearing this for the first time on CHOM 97.7 in 1991... The announce said Skid Row and my jaw dropped. I couldn't believe it was them. I bought the CD the next day.
Great single, great album.
30 plus years later STILL holds up…BIG TIME!!! AWESOME ALBUM
We played with these guys on the 3rd bill back in 1990 meaning stage 3, ,Not that it matters to anyone reading this now. This was 32 years ago.
This is the moment Skid Row essentially kicked glam rock in the balls and just became rock...plain and simple.
They were never glam, they didn't wear a bunch of make-up poison was glam not Skid Row.
Best skid row tune and video by far!!
I knew Skid Row's hit songs by heart even though I had very little English when I was a child. My cousin and I would sing them over and over.
Sebastian is legend anytime
Most of Skid Row's songs are like other 80's tunes. This one stands out, they should have made more like it.
Love this riff. Easily one of my all fine favorites.
