I'm about to turn 70 and Skid Row came onto the Rock scene about 1986. I've always liked them. One thing I can say for my life. "I may be old but I got to see ALL the best bands during their times! We F'n Rocked out ALL THE TIME. I can still hold my own to this day. i have a '56 Chevy with a bad azz big block and love to cruise the highways rocking out and cruisin' cranking on the tunes!! Rock and F'n Roll Forever!

I am 40 and I knew the deal. As soon as I got a job, I went to see as many of these remaining bands as I could before they got too old and/or dead.
I didn't see Skid Row but I saw Sebastian Bach.
And I saw the one and only time Van Halen performed with David Lee Roth in Australia, and that was 2013 (supported by an even more amazing Aerosmith for their first and last tour since '94, and supported by Kings of Chaos featuring Sebastian Bach, Steve Stevens and Duff McKagan).

Sebastian Bach was the whole package: gorgeous, the hair, the voice, the moves, & the whole “it”/cool factor😎!! Truly, no one could touch him at that time.

I heard of them hmm, lets say 10 years ago. ( On the other side of the Berlin Wall they basically wernt allowed to hear West- Music, and yeah i was a Little Kind ^^ )
But the first thing i thought about that band was that they HAD to be a short lived band. Singing about Youth, and them often getting Associated with 18+ would make it incredible hard to push them via lables 5 or 10 years later, since they were most likely simply being outdated in mid 90s.

Since I was born they couldn't hold me down
Another misfit kid, another burned-out town
I never played by the rules, I never really cared
My nasty reputation takes me everywhere
I look and see it's not only me

We are the young, so raise your hands

We stand and we won't fall

    Rollin'
Since I was born, they couldn't hold me down
Another misfit kid, another burned out town
I never played by the rules and I never really cared
My nasty reputation takes me everywhere
When I look and see it's not only me
So many others have stood where I stand
We are the young (hey), so raise your hands
They call us problem child, we spend our lives on trial
We walk an endless mile, we are the youth gone wild
We stand and we won't fall, we're one and one for all
The writing's on the wall, we are the youth gone wild
Boss screaming in my ear about who I'm supposed to be
Get a three-piece Wall Street smile, and son, you'll look just like me"
I said, "Hey man, there's something you ought to know
Well, I'll tell you Park Avenue leads to Skid Row"
Well, I look and see it's not only me
    We're standin' tall, ain't never a doubt
We are the young (hey), so shout it out
They call us problem child, we spend our lives on trial
We walk an endless mile, we are the youth gone wild
We stand and we won't fall, we're one and one for all
The writing's on the wall, we are the youth gone wild
Well, let me hear you get wild
They call us problem child, we spend our lives on trial
We walk an endless mile, we are the youth gone wild
We stand and we won't fall, we're one and one for all
The writing's on the wall, we are the youth gone wild

This tune is truly astounding. The Skids achieved their goal of making something themselves for a name during the golden years of rock music, and that could happen because they had Sebastian Bach as their frontman. His voice is one of a kind, and his contribution to the musical arrangements the band made at that time, was actually remarkable.
I have no clue what some of you might think about this, but in my opinion, it's a pity that the new millennium hasn't witnessed the rise of new artists who are as talented as Sebastian Bach. Since I assume most of you grew up with the Skids' tunes, then you should know that he was responsible for making them become one of the best hard rock bands America has ever known.

great riffing, audible bass, and pocket drumming (with excellent fills).
and that's not even mentioning THE VOICE.

If you turned up the volume at the very beginning of the song before the music explodes too loud on your ears, you can hear him saying, "Rolling", and the song begins.
If you can't hear, plug your headset.

First song that got me into metal - heavy or hair. Still remember this being the first CD I ever bought at 9 years old to play in my newly gifted boombox and it was tight front to back. This song never wore off on me 30 years later. Trying to learn it on guitar now.
