Plus it is actually used in-game, just not by player, in final USMC mission one of Marines deploys this launcher and uses it on enemy in a scripted event
@@HackingIsFreedomit’s also the site of a major battle in I think 2004. Also I might be misremembering but in 2014 isis had a presence there or they fought a battle there idk I might be wrong
@@HackingIsFreedom It's probably because the game created a hypothetical "Arabian Republic," which if you watch the cutscenes (despite sometimes showing modern borders) teleports all around the Middle East.
Tell that to the devs since they're the ones that left the strings alluding to the map being set there. Maybe it was just a mission based on the Battle of Fallujah, but the location changed to SA to avoid alluding to the real life battle.
Caulk is just a nodraw material that culls the faces its applied to when a map is baked in Radiant and because its the default material in Radiant its used on basically everything level designers touch until they replace it with the grid or an actual wall/floor texture
that black hawk down clip proves my theory that the cut m21(which is just an accurized M14) with the desert camo was inspired by randy shugharts m14. Also worth noting that the cut designated marksman mission is rumored to have had the M40A3 as your primary
6:40 I just want to say that this map is actually in one of the WaW builds. You can load into it, but there's no textures in it. On one of the WaW builds, you can load into a map called Argun I believe? I'm confident that's a cut Cod 4 map too.
just found your channel, the cod stuff is really interesting! and you missed out a little with the campaign back at release, i always remember the part where the three us marine sea knights drop the "chalk" while your on the grenade launcher turret, it was awesome as just when you land, a whole tank convoy comes out of nowhere offscreen and the first one crushes a car right in front of you while the marines multiplayer soundtrack starts up.
CoD1 Modder here: The dusk map in CoD4 does share some similarities to Dawnville, mostly in layout. The tank is pretty close to where the Dawnville tank was, and so is everything else. There's a missing section around the north west that would have lead to a few more buildings with another tank. Around that same area and slightly to the east were MG42s that seem to be gone because their respective buildings are gone.
I may or may not have documented the HUD icons for unused weapons and perks and such on TCRF for this game. I did so for a few call of duty games (User:Tyler is me). I know I found some unused weapon camos for one of the games. I think I may have documented that white rifle too. Likely the only thing I figured out how to view in a model viewer to get a render for.
I know I said this in a prior video but if you decide to go through Team Fortress 2's cut content, you're gonna have your work cut out for you. There's a literal ton of cut content. TCRF has more leak related stuff, whereas the official TF2 Wiki does not really allow screenshots of leaked content. You'd need to reference both sites to get a full picture of cut content in that game. I did update the beta/unused content navbox on the TF2 wiki to be more descriptive and to sort stuff by where it was found which may help in sorting stuff. No other TF2 RUclipsr has done a proper full length video on everything that we know of. I was going to do one back before I left the TF2 community for good but I never got around to it.
Caulk is used so when the texture is rendered in game it's invisible to save processing power. I used to make world at war zombie maps and the caulk texture I would use for walls that the player could never see etc. The game uses textures for information like collision etc or visibility
3:11 im pretty sure this map was reworked and used early in mw2's campaign. where your humvee gets blown up by an rpg, and you make your way through a very similar structure, at least externally. also at 12:27 you say that all pre alpha pistols are using the m9 sfx, but they're actually all using different sounds. the deagle is using the winchester 1300 sound, the m9 is using an early version of the m9 sound, the 1911 is using a cod2 version of its sound i think, and the usp is using an unmodified stock gunshot sound from sound ideas series 6000 extension 1 (at least i think that's where it's from, i work with a lot of sound libraries, and i believe it's from there. it can also be found in the sound ideas budget audio brand "hot ideas" sfx album "fully loaded: sounds of guns and weapons" that can be found on digital music sites) that specific stock gunshot was used in designing some of the gunshots in the final game, but heavily modified.
I'm kinda surprised that you didn't talk about the hidden code in the post nuke mission. it indicates that player was originally going to survive in that mission
I feel like the dog vs player file is a beta version of the qte sequence that plays when the attack dogs attack you in the campaign except it appears to Take place in the dessert, when I know for a fact there are no attack dogs in the middle east missions
Caulk is a texture in radiant for all cods that make it "unload" or see right thru it so when your out of bounds you can see thru walls, floor etc. why load it if the player can't see it yk. So sometimes if you glitch into a non playable area sometimes some walls will have texture on one side but other side you can see right thru it it's called caulk, it also helps run better lol
The fallujah prefabs are not for the map but for the location/setting as they were meant to be used in various maps , even some of the ones shown were updated for maps like Strike.
Apparently there’s other cod 4 pre alpha builds (82 and 114) that are supposedly lost. Last time I heard they were in a hard drive that died with no recovery. Do you think it’s possible that these builds are somewhere out there?
@@pengu6335 That’s true. I’m just staying optimistic that someone has them somewhere in a dev kit or something. I’m also praying that someone drops a later build of a WaW pre alpha too
@Hur1caneAaron I've never heard of build 82, but I've heard of build 114 for years. Never seen proof of it existing at all. Maybe one day, we'll get a build older than build 253. One can dream.
Gotta love that the original title screen uses Batman begins music lmao
Came to the comments to see if anyone else had caught it.
I thought I recognized it haha
Goes to show they really wanted Hans Zimmer, enough to get him for MW2
The cut AT-4 weapon is supposed to be a 'fire & discard' weapon. Hence the reason it wasn't given a reload animation.
Plus it is actually used in-game, just not by player, in final USMC mission one of Marines deploys this launcher and uses it on enemy in a scripted event
"Fallujah, which took place in Saudi Arabia" 💀
I know it's a city in Iraq lol, numerous text strings indicate it took place in Saudi Arabia. It could be a developer oversight

The music used in the beta real time main menu was from The Dark Knight. There's no doubt this is placeholder music.
That explains why I had to mute the rest of that music because it was copyrighted. I thought it sounded familiar.
Batman begins but close enough.
Man this series is so interesting, it deserves more recognition

The obstacle course in fng was cut content! There's also audio lines from the drill instructor guy! THEY ADDED IT FULLY TO MWR!!

That red water tower has textures in bo1. The model is exact same but they've managed to update the texture by bo1 😂
its not a model.
this series needs more love fr
11:10 bro is getting dangerously close to mw2 spetznaz announcer’s ac130 lines lol

Dusk is based on the Cod1 version of Dawnville just without the railway section.
You did miss one major thing in particular, the cut Halloween version of Overgrown.

Great video
fkn good video bro

Don’t suppose there’s any stuff on the original cod’s 1 and 2?
Haven't checked out Cod 2 that much but, I know the first cod has a bunch of stuff. I'll definitely add a video of Cod 1 in the future.
It’s sea knight btw not seeknight😂

fallujah is in iraq not in saudi arabia
4:19 why don't you show that rather than just describing the teleporting?
The mission "Fallujah" being cut is geniunely great, America will never acknowledge that mess
Okay look up Six Days in Fallujah

Fallujah is in iraq NOT saudia arabia

we need moreeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
there is absolutely no way the "fallujah mission" was based in saudi arabia bruh. Fallujah is in iraq...
