Cod 4s art style and visual tricks sometimes make it look ahead if it’s time but then you look at mw2
I think it's even better that mw2, music very good in mw1
I agree that the game is better than mw2. Level design, story, music is better than mw2. It’s just the graphics of mw2 look better imo, but not by a whole lot
To me mw has always looked better not including waw and all other cod ww2 games
@@VITAS874 mw2 has better lighting , from what i remember. And it had arguably the best maps in the franchise, although cod4/waw/blops1 all had very good maps.
I always felt MW1 was the most realistic. The only one that looks better is MW2019
While it's graphics might be dated, I'll never stop loving the look of COD4. That gritty, cold, grey and depressing color pallet puts it in a league of it's own -- even today. To me, COD4's art direction is the _definition_ of what a war game should look like. I wish modern games weren't so vibrant/colorful and afraid of looking "depressing."
Honestly that depressing look when i play cod mw1 and cod world at war gave me actual anxiety and negative thoughts back when i was a kid, its crazy
Ah yes let's make the game look more shit and filled with monotone gray to look more "depressing"
Thanks for explaining me why i missed those graphics so much
@@cheez3184 Enjoy your rainbow shooters.
The cold grey look has always made the game look more modern to me, especially compared with the smudgy bloomy brown war games that came before it, and even waw which came after
That Zakhaev second pistol reminds me of General Shepherd in the MW2 Museum - he can pull out an extra .44 magnum if you get him to run out of ammo, and then another one if you put him into last stand
Shepherd just really likes .44 Magnums
Pirates be like
Blasphemy.
And not only that, throughout all of it he'll have a _fourth_ .44 Magnum in his holster
4:48 he probably said it because when you hit the brakes it takes time for the truck to stop, so he said stop the bloody truck. this is at least what i think happens.
Gaz forgot to replace the brakes :'v
or he was just telling the order truck crew..
6:57 Don't worry the Real Russian Army totally would just walk into the Chernobyl/Pripyat Exclusion zone and build trenches and kick up dust
Lmaoo
@Frank Baskerville but it’s true lol
@Frank Baskerville it already happened…
@Frank Baskerville Okay, we'll just ignore the footage, images and transmission and reports. okay
@@patrickazzarella6729 and the radiation readings on Russian equipment left behind
4:47
I always assumed he was telling the truck in front of you to stop
Same
It looks like it falls through the ground before the bridge gets destroyed
I think he was
How would the driver be able to hear it?
@@fuzzydunlop7928 idk if you heard, but radios have been around for over a hundred years
On the OG COD4 , if you get 8s time on the cargoship mockup, price will say it's garbage. Getting a slower record (e.g have 20.45s then get a 23.75 time) makes Price tell you "You're getting slower. Perhaps it was a mistake to let you skip the obstacle course."
2:41 ... cat reveal?
Glad I'm not the only one who heard the little feline :P
3:34 Similarly in All Ghillied Up when you are crawling under the trucks Captain MacMillan literally has 1 HP so similarly throwing a grenade at him kills him instantly and you get the "Your actions got Cpt. Macmillan killed" fail screen.
What would happen to the BMPs if you blew up the leading vehicle first? Would they just drive forward and clip through it, or would the universe explode, or something in between?
As your 69th like i second this idea
One year later and we still haven't found out the answer to your question. Jokes aside, my guess is that the BMPs behind the destroyed one would simply clip through it, much like how the driverless cars outside the SAS training facility drive through each other.
It's been a long while but I remember with the cluster grenades cheat you got from collecting Intel your could destroy them and they would stop where they are at and attack you I think
Still the greatest first person shooter game ever created. I still come back to this game every so often. Despite the remaster, I just love the style of the original more.
Halo has left the chat
MwIII reboot has left the chat
Same here bro.
11:51 General. Do you have a cat?
2:32, 7:59 and 9:26 also
I kept hearing it the whole time, thought I was going crazy
Maybe it's Also MrTardoss 😂 😂
For the auto drive cars and other stuff, this problem actually still exists in MWR pvp. If u get a good angle u will see the choppers are all empty. Also not sure if this was mentioned before, in MWR u can actually see EACH ROUND disappear when shooting with the P90 and G36 that has translucent mags, while in MW2019, the MCX(M13)'s translucent mag doesn't move at all. (Tested in season 2 not sure if fixed)
The M13's magazine follower definitely moves, as well as the P90 in MW2019
Always did
Not sure about this, but that is a trick form games to load less structure so the game engine wont cause any problem, devs of GTASA also did this to helicopters, it's just a way to load off some engine burdens
When it said unused obstacle course I thought he was going to talk about the one outside across from the warehouses.
2:30 I actually triggered this "dead body coming back to life" glitch a different way. I decided to see what would happen if you did the out of map glitch from the MW2 spec ops mission Hidden on CoD4. So I did the glitch in the shipment crates, skipped the bloody convention, and went to the bit with the dead man and the dog, and he was still alive.
Wtf. I did the out of bounds Glitch too. But the dog and body spawn there? I got to check it out
@@tojoisathomeinthisfunben9364 Idk, maybe you have to run a certain way to trigger it. I only did it once
Ah, yes the game of my childhood...
Chief you mind telling me what you're doing in another game
He’s made a few cod videos before
I love it that in the last mission the driver of all cars (exept enemies) is the farmer from the mission blackout
When the truck crashes on Game Over if you repeatedly switch weapons with the RPG as you crash you'll end up with 3 gun slots during the final defense. Found that one as a kid on accident.
3:20 it also says infinity ward on multiple multiplayer maps where arabic is used on storefronts, I translated it with my dad when I was little because we had learned arabic
2:30 man I thought my cat was at the door
A couple things you missed:
1: Hidden Golden Desert Eagle on "Crew Expendable"
"Hidden 50 Cal MG and parking lot on "Charlie Don’t Surf"
In the mission where you and the other sas members along with the Russians rescue Nikolai from execution, The Chopper pilots of the exfil are actually Russian. By looking at the Blackhawk window, you can see they wear Russian Military Uniform (Ushanka, Russian Insigna, etc.)
I could hear a kitty in the background
Conclusion: Ghosts are canonically real in COD MW
Wat
Who knew FNG would've been such a long run teaser for a future game in the series.
Call of Duty: Ghost Warfare
theres actually a voiceline on one of the missions where Griggs tells you to shoot the BMPs with the RPG or plant C4
You can find USMC Body in Heat mission
He is laid in evac lake
I remember in 2007, cod4 was like the most graphically advanced game of its time. The reflections, gun polygons, all of those things blew me away. Bonus was bullets can now pass through objects. My pentium 4 computer was screaming and could barely push 30fps. Good times
I totally forgot that one of the selling points for the game was that bullets could pass through objects lol.
@@-Karnage was mindblowing experiencing that for the first time lol
Many Games from the same year looked better. Assassins Creed 1 or Metal Gear Solid 4 just for 2 simple examples.
13:00 makes sense as the devs want to teach you specifically about knifing, and they know shooting it is the instinctive thing most players will do so they circumvented it
The water reflection one reminded me of another trick IW pulled for water reflection, but in CoD MW3:
During the mission where you raid some docks in London with the SAS ("Mind the Gap"), there is a yacht in the distance. That Yacht is just 2D image, and its reflection on the water, is actually the same image but inverted and it is just stretched on the water surface which when watched from the map, created the illusion of it being a water reflection
Amazing details I didn’t even notice until today. The Modern Warfare trilogy remains as some of my all time favourite videogames especially COD 4. It was probably one of the first games I ever played
10:58 i never knew about this obstacle course and that the ds version had this.
Fun fact related to no. 6, a few days ago I was playing Cold War and got killed by a stun striking my character in the head.
Direct Impact deaths have been a thing since at least CoD4.
I used so much of my younger days just playing with this games scenarios. Good video!
HI, I think I found an additional thing in the mission; Hunted. There is no RPG in this mission (even if we use give all cheats) but it did however have an AK-47 with GP-25 which can be used to shot down the helicopter that appeared in the earlier. The Heli wasn't meant to be shot down and unlike the one in the final mission, the heli in this mission will spun out of control after taking 2-3 rounds from GP-25 but it will never crash. But at the end of the mission, I think another heli will spawn and this time, it can be shot down using stinger missile in the barn. Try it because it's quite interesting and funny at the same time :-)
I remember My nerd friend finding most of these out Back in 2008 with PS3 version, such a throwback 😂 still remember him being frustrated about The hind copter being invincible at The last mission
Maybe he just likes games doesn't make him a nerd
@@BigboiiTone 🐘 you didn't know him, i knew And i can tell you - he was totally a nerd 🥴 i was a nerd too back Then, still am
@@anttitheinternetguy3213 good!!!
Interesting. I played a lot of COD4 on the Wii and did notice a few of the things(namely the whole invincible watermelon and the scripted hind sequence) but I never knew there was much more to see.
Although for the BMP part, it's likely they just reskinned one of the generic BMPs that's taken from many missions which are usually always destructible either by explosives or scripted to be destroyed by RPG.
when you going to exfill after save nikolai in blackout mission, you can see the chopper pilot is the loyalist russian, and than aflter the SAM missle hit the chopper ( in mission Hunted) the corpse changing into the bristish SAS
11:40 If you can notice on training course wooden target they have painted Opfor characters but if you played CoD4 SAS never fought wit Opfor only with Spetsnaz,USMC didnt fought with Spetznas only with OpFor
Well yea they're you're enemies... they made opfor dummy targets for trainees ... because ... that's who they're gonna be shooting at.
This game holds a special place in my heart...
I just never notice this .
Thank you for poiting this out
in the mission where the nuke goes off, when you go to rescue a squad before the cobra gets shot down, you can noclip and fly to the edge of the city where you can find a lone T72 that keeps respawning on itself no matter how many times you blow it up.
Old cod games were scary AF without even trying to be scary...
3:36 I your wondering why this gunner dies from the explosion of a flashbang here's my theory. In every cod game in order to give you the blinded or slowed effect of flashes or stuns/concussion grenades it needs to deal a little bit of damage to you. This damage is barely noticeable but I have killed people in bo2 with the detonation of a concussion and I even killed a soldier in mw3 spec ops with a flash. But it's my theory.
I knew about the BMP one. Figured that out one day when I was very bored.
Another detail is that shooting the dog in All Ghillied Up (the one with the dead Russian who Mac tellls you to leave alone) will not fail the mission. If you're skilled enough and have nothing better to do like me, you can kill all his buddies and continue the mission. MacMillan talks about how close of an encounter it was.
You should make a video about mechassault, bring back some nostalgia
You play MWO at all my dude?
Nope,id still play ma1,and ma2 if I had it
@@memedealer171 I got them on the Xbox if the live servers were still up I’d say let’s meet up, but MWO on pc is the only place to do it now, but if you love the mechassault universe you should check it out, join a squad and start kickin ass, plus you can optimize your mech your way
It's the first video I see on your channel, and you just unlocked a memory of my childhood with that sound of the intro jaja🤦🏽♂️😅
1:20 they gonna wake up dead XD
lmaooo
How in the hell you wake up dead?
@@no-barknoonan1335 cause you're alive when you go to sleep
@@xcessiveO_o So you telling me that you can go to bed dead, and wake up alive?
@@no-barknoonan1335 you cant go to bed dead man, that shit would be redundant
That Modern Warfare menu music gives me so much nostalgia.
2:31 adorable cat 😺
BMP 101, Never go for the sides, the rear is the weakest!
Well put together!
The video was really good, reminds me of early RUclips content in a good way, but you could sound a bit more confident. The material is both interesting and well presented so just match that with the tone and you'll be golden. Great vid man keep it up!
Old COD games are a gift that just keeps on giving.
I love the cat meowing in the background
9:11, the cars are also driving on the wrong side of the road too. its set in the uk which drives on the left
awesome video never knew some of this 👏🏻
3:50 well, he must constantly shoot that loud gun, defenseless, while the enemy get closer and closer every second, must give him panic attack and that flashbank just give him a heart attack
Bless the kitty in the background
When Gaz was shouting that he was talking about the driver ahead of him
As a modder, I know most of that, but I like that you made a video about it
6:28 His body have lost the arm but the soul still thinking his arm is intact so this happened.
lmao the cat in the background at 2:40 XD
This was a wonderful video. If its not to hard could you possibly make another video on cod?
Another thing in crew expendable, if you look behind you at the very start of the mission, you will see gaz and another SAS soldier exchange magazines
If i remember right, you can see Overlord first and list time for all of the franchise missions at the mission FNG he is sometimes spawning near the helicopters...
Did you know that on the multiplayer map that’s named cargo I think it’s the small one but if you go in spectator and go behind the building where the water tower is you can see that the water tower is on top of a truck
Maybe I’m just a fanboy but imo CoD4 still looks decent after all these years. Honestly I’d be content with games coming out with this level of graphical quality if they had this level of gameplay quality. Absolute masterpiece.
"STOP THE BLOODY TRUCK!"
*realizes he was the one driving the truck
Wow.....I’ve learned so much
2:32 his cat meowing ❤️
How did you know all this?? Damn!! 🙌🏼💯
Conclusion: I hope you doing good.
Nice Fam thanks
AKS-74U in the game is not modeled after a real firearm. They modeled it using an airsoft gun
I swear I remember being able to shoot the watermelon in cod4. It wouldn't break the game or anything, Gaz would just put another one down for you to knife.
That fake reflection is really clever idea
can you pick guns off the wall in FNG?
You saying the reflection was 'fake' had some real "this cave is not a natural formation" energy.
lmao that fake reflections 😂😂😂
good vid general
On game over you can pick up a m60 on the bridge
Are the reflections on that levels in Remastered fake too?
That intro unlocked a core memory
what makes this video much better is ur cat meowing in the background
8:11 i always was thinking of it
i noticed that you could only knife the watermelon because my first instinct was to shoot it.
At 2:32 you can hear a cat meowing
EDIT: at 2:45 too
Bruh your cat scared me for a sec. I heard some quiet cat sound and went outside to see if there was a cat miauwing XD.
on FNG there is an AK74U with GP25 launcher. I think we don't get to have this attachment anywhere in the game whether it's a solo campaign or multiplayer?
Actually, I noticed that nothing else can destroy the watermelon in FNG, you can indeed only melee it.
The flash bang one reminds me of a time I got a kill in bo2 multiplayer with a concussion grenade I think at start of map in the paint ball hallway.
If you shoot the watermelon before Gaz tells you to knife it, the game will display "Friendly fire will not be tolerated"
12:24 cars came out a year after this game and they really loved the movie.
Oh yeah discovering that fake reflection by ufo'ing in the getaway scene bamboozled me back then
#7 Could be seen differently. It's commonly seen in movies where British Soldiers will talk to themselves about what others should do. In this instance, there is a vehicle in front of them. Usually in that kind of formation, the lead vehicle needs to stop first. Hence Gaz saying "stop the truck", meaning the lead needs to stop in order for them to stop. Or it could be a mistake! 🤣
thats what i thot
I played both MW1 & MWR and Noticed that Guns that sucked in MWR like the M9, 1911, USP or Mini Uzi actually are very Viable guns in the Original
I only played with the uzi because of the reload animatiom, even if it was hard to skip it.
This is awesome! I can’t believe I never noticed any of this. You should do more COD videos
So that dog wasn't eating the dead soldier, he was just trying to wake him up.
