- The dance has begun, and it's time for Mal and Jo to dive deep into the explosive fourth episode of ‘House of the Dragon.' I’ve always hated how everyone I watch fantasy shows with or play fantasy video games with never shares my love of deep diving into everything about the show or game and spending an ungodly amount of time thinking about it. I love lore for things like thrones and middle earth and the elder scrolls but I’ve never had anyone to discuss it with. So thank you guys for doing these because it makes me feel like I’m just sitting at the table discussing all the things I love, with you.
I come to these types of videos for that kind of community. Sounds like what you need is neurospicy friends. We tend to go deeeep into things we're interested in lol.

Mallory’s dragon screech gets me every single time
I think one of the differences is that all of Catelynn’s children were alive. Rhanys’ children have passed so maybe she was more open to acknowledging Alyn now vs. when her children and heirs were alive.
In fact Catelyn would have grown up learning about the history of the decades of war, treachery & death that came from bastards pressing their claims against trueborn heirs. Such events haven’t happened yet in Rhaenys’s time.
Rhany's was also a hard core Targ. If you notice her allegiance, its always with the true Valyrians. So i would think that she is more desensitized to adultery and bastards vs Catelyn who is a cuddled little girl waiting for her father by the window then married an honorable Northerner.

I think the smart and very defensively course of action for Rhaenys would’ve been to flee to Dragonstone after her first dance with Aemond and Vhagar.
By then she had fulfilled her duty to defend Rook’s Rest, their allies. The only reason why she would stay and fight would’ve been to gamble and see if she could end the war by taking down Team Green’s biggest advantage.

Big disagree with Ned telling Cat. Cats enmity towards Jon is part of the cover. Like when Melisandre is telling mance the bones are important for the glamor, ppl expect to see the bones. Ppl expect Cat to hate Jon so Ned has to let it happen. The moment he tells anyone he first breaks his promise to Lyanna to keep him safe. And he endangers the person he his telling this secret to. Vhagar almost got meleys at the start of the their fight. She barely managed to stay airborne, vhagar released her just a little to high. If meleys had hit the ground with vhagar she wouldve been a sitting duck, unable to take fight again.

Allicent and Otto purposely did not teach Aegon how to be king because they wanted him to get bored with it allowinv them to rule behind the scenes. Look at 2nd sons Damon and Ammond...trying to be King because they think they are passed over.
