Never had Velcro fail. The padding fails way before Velcro. But there’s a reason the pros use lace gloves. 1. When your hands are fully wrapped they are easier to put on. 2. They do hold the glove in place better. However the vast majority of boxers using the sport to train, and get into shape should stick with the simplicity of Velcro gloves.
I've seen MANY Velcro boxing products fail, half the time it is just poor quality batches. And that's from good brands too! It sucks but Velcro is just so convenient! 🤣🙏
@@fightingspirit93 heavy use… starter gloves used for pads, bag, and sparring. Also do Muay Thai so the cuffs get a lot of attention. Would probably last longer if I had a 12oz pad work pair instead of a 16oz use 2x a day pair. I now use Bag gloves and want 10oz lace up for pad/bag/comp practice (Amateur kickboxing use 10oz lace ups in my state)
I clicked because of the Tilt 350. I will say, after going through Velcro gloves... Maybe my first 4-5pairs... With lace to loop converters... I started using lace and never went back. The fit and support just feels more natural for most gloves in laces.
I am absolutely loving the 350s my friend, I tried the Velcro version and it just didn't feel as natural like you say, I think they are outstanding in lace up and can't wait to review them fully 👍👊
Lace to loop converters is the way to go. The suave method works if the hole is big enough. With a smaller hole, use the method csquaredboxing describes with shoelaces. I use the latter.
I enjoy both and use both for sparring and pads. I care more about Oz size in sparring being above 14oz plus depending on weight and punching power. I wear 16 ounce in light sparring and 18 in hard sparring, 10 to 12 for pads and leather no padding gloves for bag work to help my punching technique. It's down to preference in all honesty
That's right mate, preference is key! Some 10oz gloves can be considered way more protective than 16oz punchers gloves for example, there are many important factors!
@@fightingspirit93 thats somethin else i noticed! Windy fight gear and windy boxing store both claim to be made in thailand but windy boxing store claims to be the original and true ones any insight on that?
Not specifically windy but I hear the same issue is going down with Twins Special, all to do with IP issues so another brand can simply jump in and name themselves Twins Special in another country 😳😳😳
I'm glad you found value in my system and I appreciate the credit.
Thanks legend, appreciate the kind words 👍

I got that adidas tilt glove in a blue Velcro.
I wasn't a fan of those gloves with Velcro at all, way better in laceup in my opinion.

Great video 🥊
Thankyou mate!
Any idea on if the windy lace ups with the 3 ridges on the cuff are real or not? Been trying to find authentic windys. Thanks!!
Yeah I only saw these on eBay so can't be too sure! They aren't on their main website so be careful 🥊🔥👊

I’ve never had an issue with Velcro coming off. Always feels secure.

Lace Up all the way. I can buy a pair of Lace N Loops for when I'm on my own
Aye really good video bro
Thank you mate! ❤️
Velcro all the way. I won’t use lace up gloves anymore because I don’t want to depend on my coach or anyone to put on my gloves.
I'm gonna make a video soon on how to use laceup gloves by yourself, without lace converters!
Great video, just got my first lace up pair, would be good to see your video on this @@fightingspirit93
Hei bro mind reviewing that boon boxing glove ? Thinking of getting that
Sooooon!
I use them 3 times a week, They are my favourite Muay Thai gloves Ive ever tried, spoiler alert 🤣
Great thanks for the heads up.
1 more question : is this bag a good bag glove ? Hitting mitts/heavy bags? I weigh abt 84kg. Which weight should i go for ?
@@tobingtengker902 good for all of it mate!
I'd recommend 12 oz mate, still very puffy and protective all round!
