I've got a pair of Reyes and i've never bothered weighing them. I go more on the fit than the weight (a couple of ounces above or below the 14 ounce pair I've got ain't gonna make much difference to me, i'm not a professional nor an amateur, i'm just a 50-something year old trying to stay fit). Ive got 14 ounce wrap arounds in gold/green with the WBC logo. I just watched a different video of yours Ross and i noticed a pure gold pair of Reyes in the background (think i might treat myself to a pair for Xmas).
I bought mine on March 2023, the thumb did annoyed me a after like 10-15 minutes of having the gloves on, but after like 6 months the gloves softened a little bit and I don't have that problem with the thumb anymore. Best gloves I ever tried, definitely worth it. Btw no clue why it costs almost double in the US. Here in México we pay like $130 dlls from the official website but on Cleto Reyes USA prices go over $200 dlls lol
Got my first pair of the training 14 oz lace ups and the seam at the base of the thumb took about a week to break in. Im pretty sure theyre over weight but on the hand i dont feel it. All in all im very happy with my purchase. P.s. ive gotten tons of compliments on them at the gym because they look so good (in the red).
Just bought them from cleto Reyes directly for 200 can’t wait for them first quality gloves I’ve bought as I’m starting boxing next year been self taught for 4 months
I wear wraps and knuckle guards with my 16oz lace up Cletos, but my hands go numb.. am I over doing it with the knuckle guards? (I use them for heavy bag workouts)
I wear knuckle guards too and am about to buy a pair of 16’s. I have a pair of Hayabusa S4 16’s I eventually broke in but are still a bit tight. I’m hoping it’s a similar situation.
I have tried so many different gloves but I can honestly say I always go back to my reyes. Apparently the fixed their weights problem. Mine are a few years old tho so they weight more lol I will definitely buy another pair bit 12 oz this time.
Do you wipe them down after every training session? And how often should I clean them. Just got a pair of their training gloves and I want to make sure they last
I just worry about the wrist support. I got some rival gloves and the wrist support worn downs some couple times but the leather stays intact but that’s with all boxing gloves they wear down overtime.
I don't like Reyes, I thought they felt far to heavy for the weight they advertise. I got a Flt super lace x which also feels heavy but not as bad. I do want to buy a pair of rival rs100 gloves for sparring.
I need to pop through and try the Cleto’s on. Glad I seen your review because I was about to fork out £275 for a blue 16oz pair. Do you stock Winning gloves?

@@SecondsOutFightStore what weight should sparring gloves be?
@@abc-uw2zo Nothing less than 16 oz gloves or your a POS

Will these gloves last me a long time if i use them for the heavy bag only? I already got ones for sparring

Plz compare the rs100 and Reyes once you get them
go for rival rfx sparring's they are better, rs100's wrist is too wide
Why the grib bar is so much ?
Can someone please explain to me why my thumbs sometimes hurt when I hit the bag
you punch wrong
You are probably smashing it into the bag, slow down and think about where your knuckles are in the glove, and hit with them. Hope that helps 🫡
@@abc-uw2zo thx ive gotten better, been practicing that and i got better
@@Josiah04 I'lldo that tomarrow thx for the advice, your a real one
These cletos compared to hayabusas and twins which of those would you put on nr 1,2 and 3 ?
Would you pick these Reyes or rival Guerrero rfx for training and sparring?
What did you buy and was it good

You're wearing headgear
My 14oz Cleto reyes are 17.3oz
Wow that’s insane!!
My 12oz actually weigh almost 18oz
