You're a genius! This breathed new life into my super old Cleto Reyes lace-ups! I work out at home and don't want to bug someone to lace me up. Now, I don't have to. Thank you!
Yeah its the real deal bro and yet I gets no love from the RUclips guys who are pretty big but it doesn't matter cause they can never top this method and the proof is the people. I tested this method for 6 months before I decided people needed to know about it. Also I bought a shitload of lace converters 😆
This is really the world's most genius invention I've seen this year! I just followed the steps and tied my Everlast MX pro Fight Gloves along with Lace N Loop with exactly the same way and it works really really well! Now I'm not afraid of using laced gloves and really thank both you and Carlo, you guys are really the best and love you guys and your channels!
Wanted to say I come back to this video time and time again to do the laces for my friends! They LOVE this system! I am currently relacing my new pair right now! 💪
I did an extra bit that you all must add!!! Instead of tying those three loops in the end, get yourself one of those circular-ring from any key chain and pass the loops through them. This will stop them coming out of your converter much more efficiently. I barely have any hanging loops.
Great idea. I've reinjured my wrists quite a few times, and as such will be swapping over to lace up gloves full time for the improved wrist support. This is a real gamechanger.
Thank you! Just used your Suave System on my new Fly Superlace X’s and it is simply amazing. I made a few modifications though.. While lacing up my gloves, I put the lace through the anchor, through my Lace N Loop hole and back through the anchor. I repeated this process 2 more times to the other anchors and tied it off. This eliminated the struggle trying to fit the laces (6 strands) into the small Lace N Loop hole. This also removed the bump of tying the knot which gives it a flatter surface for the Lace N Loop
Thats smart man, no need to tie an extra knot! ( extra potential failure point ) Youre making loops anyway so why not put them through the anchor point and the hook n loop system right away. So if i understand correctly you have only 2 knots in total inside your glove right?
@@wtfgebeurdmij2991 Yep that’s right! Just the two knots on each end. I just used a hair tie at the end of the lace n loop hole which makes it less messy
to get rid of the tie bump, you can loop the laces in the strap same time you are looping in the glove holes. its kinda tricky but you have to critically figure it out.
this method is so good. instead of tying off the three loops in the lacenloop rivet, i lined up the loops and threaded the lacenloop THROUGH the loops, gets way tighter than a knot and gives me the max length
I tried that way before and I do like it but I like to end the loop on the hammer side of the fist position. I get it tho it's a good method also if you have shorter lace.
So amazing. The fact that you put this knowledge out there makes you deserve so much respect from all the boxers who use lace up. Kudos to you man this is amazing stuff 👍👏👏👏👏
I was about to buy Velcro gloves because the ones I have are laced, but I guess I don't have to do that anymore. You just saved me like $200. Thank you bro
I used this method on my Necalli gloves. They have 8 holes and use standard length laces so the loops are shorter but got it to work. Thanks again for sharing.
I only have thin wrists, even with the join seam meeting throughtout the middle side by side i'm left with a 2-3cm gap at the bottom of my wrist. Maybe the system can be adapted further so one side tucks under the other so it clamps the wrist even more 🤔
Extremely helpful video Enrico! I just came up with another option that I think could also work for some. So, you start with the typical 3 x cross pattern (like most lace ups gloves comes with from the shops) and you undue the last x completely and make a knot right where it needs to be, tight but you should still be able to get you wrapped hand inside the glove no problem. Then after the little hidden knot you continue with the final x. So, the upper section where you need the wrist support is set up and doesn't move anymore, but the final x can become loose so you can make it really big for an easy entry. Finally, you pull the laces to close up the final x tight and then you finish with the lace2loop. Keep the vids coming!
You’re very detailed bro. I’ve had these clerk Reyes lace ups for a while but rarely used them. Now I can, with your system and the lace to loops that I just found out about
Genius ! it pulls the glove in from both sides , i always found using lace n loop the old way that they twist the wrist and laces were loose in the palm , i'm defiantly giving your technique a go , thanks bro . Brilliant thinking .
Bro I just did this on my Torres Medinas, but instead of shoving the three loops through the ring of the strap, I used a zip tie through the loops and ring, made it tight then cut off the excess. On a Lace N Loop the tie rests inside the ring and is completely covered by the strap. Zero bump.
I wouldn't use a zip tie although I thought about it because the cut end is too sharp. You could file it down but I just think it will eventually rub through your gloves
@@nricofighter Ya I'm not totally sold on it yet, I may try a smaller zip tie and wrap a bit of tape around that portion. I also have velcro zip ties that I may try to cut down and use. Either way the "anchor system" allows you to get it super tight. Thanks for sharing!
Just wanted to say thanks bruh! I had deserted my lace and loops because I didn’t like the bulk of em, but your method made me blow the dust off em. I love a pro fight gloves when I’m training on bags and mitts and this method of yours works great! Salute!
@michasakowski5340 I wouldn't call it damage but yeah it wears into the glove but gloves are tools and you should utilize them to their full potential. The gloves are gonna break down over time anyway you might as well have the best experience with them.
very good and helpfull. i am thinking of doing the same to my lace gloves but is there any chance that the bottom holes of the glove being damaged by the stretch the laces doing?
Hey! Great video. I got a question tho, it looks easy to wear one glove with another hand free and bare, but would it also be easy if I have one hand already in the boxing glove and try to put on for the other hand?
i've tried and tried but i do not understand how i am supposed to tighten certain parts of the laces before putting them through the lace n loop. they dont feel super tight once i strap them on.
Great system you came up with, def suave. At the risk of asking a dumb question, wondering how do you strap off the 2nd glove...do you have to pull the laces with your teeth or what? Difficult for me to hold anything in my gloved hand is why I ask. Thank you, Enrico.
You would grab the other velcro piece, with the glove on, pull down then pull up and strap it. It will be easier then grabbing a velcro strap but you'll get used to it after a few times.
Just one question. Is it worth doing this does it still feel as though they have been tied ? Or would it feel the same as having Velcro gloves fit to wrist wise ?
It's as tight as you can get, I'd say it's just as good if not.better then when it's tied because you can't overtighten them causing your hands to feel discomfort and you can quickly adjust them yourself if they are not to your liking. Hope you try it and thank you for the comment I just noticed.
This looks amazing, mate. Is it tighter than a regular Velcro strap if doing it by yourself? I want some new gloves and this is making me consider laces for the first time.
Yeah they do slightly but I haven't removed it so I'm not sure if it wouldn't just tear. I dont see why it wouldn't work on infinitude but I don't own a pair so I can't verify.
