As a Land Rover mechanic the first thing I thought when I saw the car was “oh that door light is defender number plate light” the poor guy trying to figure that out. It’s quite common in British motorsport for them to be used on rally cars as number plate lights as well
The ultimate CL7 unicorn! I've got a CL9 6 speed with some Euro R body parts and the super rare EDM duckbill! It is the perfect car the me. Double wishbone suspension, k24 with a perfect gearbox, and my favorite styled Honda 4 door ever. It's my forever car. They're super underrated and handle awesome! Seeing this on autofocus was quite the treat! Maybe down the road when I have finished my built k20a/k24 motor it will be something Larry could look at.
I had a neighbor in Florida who had a spoon sports accord in his garage. I’ve seen the VIN tag and all it’s always been a dream. Story goes he bought it from a race team that went broke in California
The story about the door light made me lol- being in the UK as soon as I saw it at the start of the video I thought "weird, its got a Land Rover number plate light on the door. hmm"
I've owned DC2s, EP3s and DC5s all of which were awesome, but the K24 Type-s Accord Estate I owned was bloody amazing. It outpaced many more capable cars than it should have, I used it to move and renovate 2 houses, sadly it died after that. So happy to watch this video!
Mr. Chen this has been a fantastic series between these two. I absolutely grew up with these vehicles and so many more. Well done the drivers and previous owner are legends for keeping these alive and well.

The track racing took me back to Gran Turismo! That was insane just going back to 2004 looking at those cars racing! Wow! I love all cars but nothing like a lightweight import around a track or touge!!

I've been connected with old Civic hatchbacks like the EK ever since I was a kid!!! I genuinely love the old tuning scene of time attack and touge builds of them and I used to watch them on Best motoring and video option as well!!!! Remembering those good old days makes me tear up!!! No hype or whatsoever, just pure love and connection of those machine!!

Love this chassis and this specific car. Have always loved spoon since gran turismo 3. Me and my wife just purchased a 2016 Acura ILX and it definitely inherited its vibe and attitude from these early accord R’s. Great feature!
@@Tixbomber sure but the size of the car, the engine, all the chassis stiffening gives off a similar vibe to what these accord r’s used to be. The accords of current time are way to big in comparison to the car in this feature.
@@HighhScore You must love the new 11th gen Honda Accorn. I mean Civic's. That's your Civic that embodies the Accord. Not an Ilx. Quite literally. It's a smaller carbon copy of the Accord. It just won't get the K20c.

Hi guys, I just bought a November 2008 Euro R Accord in Pearl White from Japan, can't wait to get it guys, by the way, a lot of people don't know the engine in the Accord Euro R is slightly different to the engine in the Integra Type R, the Accord engine has a Balance Shaft fitted to the Crank, the Integra engine doesn't have it fitted, just some useless information for you, drive safe guys.
Man i got to start watching best motoring again, i used towatch that for hours in a row, thats how i learned about spoon, especially the s2000.Lovely jdm content.👍✌️👉
People look at it and they don’t know how special the car is and how much it would cost to have spoon build a car if they even would for a private individual. Just awesome.
I think the Accord is possibly a great platform for a racer. It's Honda, it has the suspension design that will keep up with most aftermarket goods. Engines can be built to perform and it's a good size car for the midsize coupe or sedan touring car section. They handle out of the box! 💥🇯🇵

I was invited to hang with Opak Racing and watched this Euro R compete at the 25 Hours of Thunderhill with drivers Gaby de la Merced and another professional from Peru! Still have the 91 "Spoon" hat Edmun Laurea gave me so I didn't look out of place in the pits =)
@@gregmorgan9989 to get invited? I was looking for something to do that Summer and, although Opak didn't have anything solid, apprentice-wise for me, they were super nice and invited me along. The day of the race they let me clean the Euro R windows lol, just to say I did something useful for racecar prep.
@@iheartgs400 I had a 6spd 05 but it was modified from the ground up type s gears,LSD mfactory, and I had a rebuilt short block with 11:5.1 compression was gonna be a sleeper build until it got hit but maybe in the future I’ll build another one hopefully 07/08 this time and I’m also looking forward to see an awd conversion for the chassis since we couldn’t get the factory cl8’s in the states

My '05 TSX was my favorite car. Not techiqually a Euro-R but it always surprised ppl w/ how quick and nimble it was after the work I put into it.

I put a k24a2 in my 03 crv 5speed.
