- We finally did it! The Supertouring EG Civic Ferio's first victory and the most meaningful of my racing career!
Sitting in grid, I knew I had a shot at victory lane. Minimal rewards weight, the hybridracing Supertouring Civic's setup was on point and I was starting 6th on the invert. I knew my main competitor would be Matt Waldbaum and boy did he prove me right lol! I had to be somewhat aggressive in the first few corners and a perfect opening just barely formed inside of turn 2. The OsGiken LSD just hooked up and pulled me ahead and within three corners, I gained three positions and proceeded to the lead shortly after. The rest of the race, Matt in the S2000 was on my ass and gave me zero breathing room. I had to drive fast, make zero mistakes, and be in the zone, that was until the caution came out.
As much as I wanted the race to end under caution, I also wanted to battle it out and not get a freebie, I'm a damn Racer! Green, white, checkered and what a lap it was. I made the decision to let Matt take a peak up the inside because holding the inside around turn 2 is more important and I'm glad it payed off. Austin Hertel then made my life a little easier battling with Matt and I drove off, at 9/10ths making sure not to bin it lol.
I've never been more ecstatic about taking a victory as much as this one in my life. Two damn years and we're finally back! It's been an incredible journey and I can't thank you guys enough for the love, support and kind words. I seriously can't do this without everyone who supports me, both on and off the track. This win is for my dad, love you pops! Now let's get some more baby!!!
What's the best platform in GLTC? Zero people would answer: A tubbed out 30 year old Honda sedan. Love every minute of watching this car on track. Thanks for what you've brought to this series and racing in general.

Best race of the year for me. I was on break talking smack out loud on every car the Civic passed. Co-workers thought I had too much coffee in the AM.

Actually a very simple answer, the EG/EH chassis is light, propends to the K series and has factory double wish bone suspenion front and rear...once the geometry is corrected following loweringz...there isnt much that can touch this chassis...I personally absolutely love my EG.

Video quality and what I can only assume is image stabilization make this the crispest racing video I've ever seen. Made me think it was a videogame for a moment!
Zero video stabilization actually. That's directly off the go-pro, 4k 60 fps with hypersmooth turned off completely. It's all about the mount you use 😉
Great race footage. It’s exciting to watch racing on this level. It really shows when all the drivers are hungry for the podium.
Loved watching this race had me so hype watching that last lap when the s2k almost under you but you held on. That was awesome

Seen this coming once you crashed your other eg hatch the drive you had to get back in and these sedans run good the have the series in japan with these everybody sleeps on then but dont know there lighter then the coupe good racing love to see it

The ability to go full throttle mid coner gave you the advantage over those FR machines. Just perfect. I'd say these cars have roughly 300hp?
The heavier cars (vette/370z) are probably around 260 whp. There was a Honda Odyssey that raced a few times, I think closer to 275 whp lol
Watching your braking pressure you're barely hitting 50% pressure on most corners, braking really early. It's scary AF but brake harder, later, and straighter. Good job though, kicking ass in a fwd Honda is a workout. 🎉❤
The scale on the display isn't 0% to 100% its just brake pressure in psi with an arbitration max limit. Trust me, I'm threshold braking and making sure not to lock up lol

I loved this, I want your layout on my ic7 dash, how do you get it on the screen? Also you have the green line for accel and then there is a tps but it only reads to 54% ? Also not sure what happened but I saw you hit the red button then the next few laps you were walking everyone with ease, what diff ratio are you running btw?
Haha, the red button is my radio coms lol. The car is detuned by limiting the drive by wire throttle body, hence the 54%. Regarding the dash, I made from scratch in race render 3 software

Astonishing racing especially with this platform of a car. Do you run an oil cooler? Couldn’t get my eyes off those readings. Stops at 275 and remains there.
Yeah. I run a massive oil cooler too. I'll be working in more efficient ducting to the cooler and maybe fans too. However, with motul 300v, it can handle it extremely well
