without the toprack (no wife in my life) this looks like its almost perfect fit! I dont understand the ppl hating this, it not only seems more practical but looks freakin awesome!
This is awesome. Seems like You’re getting the best everything, bad ass urban bike that’s comfortable to ride and a touring setup when needed. I’ll be doing something similar so keep the videos coming. Just subscribed.
Nice.. don’t let the hater’s get to you. It’s your bike and you can do whatever you want with it. Looking forward to the end and highway pegs and how it will look finished. Keep it up buddy 👌🏻
literally doing the same thing, glad to know I'm not crazy. Think that highway peg position is too low for your foot to be safely. I would raise it up to the next corner so you can let your foot hang off like that or flip the peg up while you ride without scraping a toe. i was wanting to try the tracer 7 coming up from a r3 but no go in US and I don't want to fork over for nearly $14k for a proper sport touring like tracer 9 or s1000. Tiger 660 might have been the way to go, but idk about triumphs for moddability or reliability & maint costs.
Hey Andy. Just found your channel and love what you’ve done with your mt07 so far. I just picked up the same mt07 last month. I’m loving it so far and glad I’m not the only one that thought you could make it a touring bike. Definitely gonna be looking into those side cases and had guard. But got a similar tail bag already and waiting on same windscreen to show up. But love the channel so far, thanks for the content.
I've been installing these today on my MT07. I really like how they curve and bend with the organic looking bike vs the hard angular crash/stunt cages. But I can't get the left side done. The kickstand bolts are insane. I can't get them out. Basically stripped one of them trying to breaker bar it out. Nothing worked!
I sorta toured out my CB300F and I installed some bar risers that I picked up on ebay. I paid 20 something bucks for them, 20mm rise. They make a huge difference.
Just purchased a 2nd hand 2023 model loaded with Yamaha accessories.😊 I like your upgrades, very useful. (Will do a video in due course on my channel) Obviously I want to load it even more. Mine is getting delivered from northwest England to North east Scotland 🏴.😊 It has the Yamaha tail tidy, which I was concerned re your video. As I have sw Motech on my rebel and 350 Meteor. So as I have the bags, would just need to purchase the brackets. So am stumped as would require someone to fit and manufacture a suitable bracket . The bike has Yamaha engine protection, would these givi bars fit over them? As I fancy getting led lights too. Hopefully you do some more videos on your MT07😊😊 Wee Mark. PS …….bike has the low seat, am very short in the legs😂
Awesome videos! Excited to see what you think about touring on it after it is all set up and the new touring pegs. I have a 2022 MT07 as well and have also been considering adding some touring mods.
I love the setup, I’m starting to equip mine, I’ve ordered the SW Motech soft cases with removable arms, also ordering the Puig touring windshield and Yamaha comfort seat. I’d like to know what are your thoughts on both the windshield and the seat? Thanks
Windshield is a must! I tried riding without it and I just can’t anymore. The seat has been great as well. I’ve done a couple 400+ mile days and it’s not bad at all.
I just finished road trip on my MT 07 2016, 2200 kilometars, i love the bike but i must say that it is not for long rides, i cross in one day 800 km - 400 in twisties 400 on the highway, i had to add silicone cusion to my seat, but still good bike, i love it
Hey Andy! I have a quick question if i may. I am probably going to buy the MT07 as my daily driver but also for touring from time to time. Is it really that bad as they say for touring? Or is it totally fine with the right equipment?
I’m very comfortable on mine! Most important items are the windscreen and some storage. You can’t beat this bike for its low price and fun factor. Just add a couple aftermarket items and you’ll have a smile inducing, lightweight tourer!
I have the tracer 7 basically the same bike done the NC500 in Scotland. did 12hrs on the bike to get to the start of it from where i live in the UK. had no issues what so ever will be out touring again this year.
Hey Andy - Not sure if this applies to you - not sure if you bought the same Crash BArs from Givi - but there seems to be a recall on some of them >>>>> Dear customer, if you have a GIVI TN2148 engine guard for YAMAHA Tracer 700 (20 > 22) - MT-07 (21 > 22) , please contact your trusted dealer.
We will replace it under warranty with a new generation engine guard that provides better performance and has the same aesthetic characteristics.
We have found that the current model may have safety issues.
Contact your authorized GIVI dealer now to book the return and free replacement of your TN2148 engine guard.
@Andy's Speed Shop did it actually state what the flaw is and how bad it could be? Like you say... could be worth just risking it... if it takes too long... but for safety purposes... it maybe worth the wait... if Givi are dealing direct.. it may speed things up.. and particularly if you explain what a ballache it was to initially get them... I would hope their customer service would engage... particularly if you mention you are reviewing on the 'Tube of You' ;)
@@Legacy4x4turbo - I appreciate the heads up tho! But I guess the only structural flaw could arise if you were to lay the bike down? Maybe? Anyway, I just wanted mine to hold some highway pegs and some LED lights 😁

I will be checking out all the mt07 touring videos. Bike looks great. Keep up yhe great work.
I do alot of 400-500 mile trips on mine and its great can't complain about anything.
Good job on the build.🎉

I like it man. Wouldn’t mind doing all this to mine too. Really like the idea of foot pegs in the front to stretch the legs.

Nicely done.
Nice work , cool kitty. I hate it when parts dont fit up properly , that seems like a regular occurence dealing with motorcycles.
I was waiting for someone to love on the cat 🐱 lol
great video! do you have a link for the hand guards? TIA.
