Learned something new today. After 10years of playing I did not know that you could hover over the price and see what you would be getting back.
Learned that it's not worth my time to think about this. Just sell the unids and be done with it, cuntinue having fun in game.

If anyone is looking at this let me tell you! I started with copper fed for blues and greens and i never lost money. Everything else is just min maxing. With current mechanics DO NOT attempt to extract runes and sigils from greens. You will blow your brains out, just rune-craft salvage them or copper fed, works fine. not as efficient but it still works.
Space: More the better. But you can start off without a lot. List items on TP don't need to forge them in higher tear, they just sell slover! You don't need bunch of characters for material storage. It can help, but 5 bags on them 18 slots will be enaugh for anyone to begin
I started with 3 bank tabs 100 inventory and built up from there. Do as much as you can handle. 10 stacks 5 stacks no wrong way to do it, just more efficient.
And in all his ramble he didn't mention, do yourself a big favour and save Luck craft them in 200 and stack them for lunar new year! Or don't remember its just a min max!
Buy all gemstore items, when they are on sale. But gems when price is low!
You have a chance to get pre-cursers, i have gotten like 10+ some became legendaries, some just sold on tp. Some are still in my bank!
Your shopping list in that order:
Copper fed
Shared inventory slots (5 is cheaper when on sale)
Bank tabs up to 3 for start (if you have not unlocked 3-4 is good) Even now I have 7 dedicated for salvage. (not 8-10)
Inventory slots 7-8 bag slots will work with 20 slot bags. Dont go crazy people!
Start doing it and you will found out really soon what you need to be more efficient!
Video is good in concept but ignore most of what he says - to get 10 bank slots with 10 32 slot bags, minimum of 10k gear, full shared inventory slots. coper, rune salvag, silver salvaging kits, and upgrade extractor. if you can spend 6000k gold just to get started you wouldn't be here.
I only extract the REALLY big runes that are worth several gold on their own, usually hidden behind armor and weapons that you wouldn't even notice it on.
Had one weapon worth like 50 silver, but the Sigil on it was worth 5 gold. Lol
Copper feds for blue and greens? 🤔 Can i know how much net profit are we looking at per stack of green?
Are u buying the bags then opening them or are you farming the bags yourself?
First video I see that has ever gone into the nuances of selling vs processing. Every other bloody video just "Sure open them, salvage and sell the mats!" And every single time I do this I usually end up turning 1G of UNID Gear to 7 Silver worth of mats.

So, if you're a pleb like me and don't have multiple, mega expensive salvage kits/upgrade extractor + time + patience just sell the stupid unidentifieds at the auction house essentially. That's what I got from this.
Yeah..basically. Or better open the unidentifieds ( for a chance that something better drops ) salvage blue items with blue salvage kit, green items with green salvage kits, for the yellow items that seem new ( you didnt saw them a lot or dont have skin unlocked ) check the price if it is more than 10 / 15 silver sell otherwise salvage with yellow salvage kit. Exotics i check the price ( also if it is more than..let say 20 silver then i sell, otherwise i think materials you get from salvaging are worth more ) and either sell or salvage with black lion salvage kit ( i have somehow few of those around, you can buy them for that black lion statues that you get in chests when black lion key drops for you now and then... they also extract the upgrades but all other upgrades that are not on exotics are trash anyway ).. and thats it.
You get rid of stacks and stacks of unindentifieds in less than 10 minutes and dont spend a lot of gold or gems for mega expensive salvage kits...
Edit: ...oh you can keep track of what materials you got from salvaging and sell those right away, either dont deposit them if you have space in inventory or check how much you had before depositing so you can sell all the new stuff. You dont get much different materials either way, i think about 10 extra spaces in inventory is enough for materials you would get for salvaging. Have about 30 extra spaces... open about 20 unindentified stacks at the time, salvage those, put materials at the bottom so they group together, open new 20 uninfentified stacks, repeat.

Open unidentified stuff for a chance to get something better and salvage or if it looks expensive check the price ( if more than 20 silver sell ).

It's not a video to explain how to salvage. It's a video to explain how to salvage massive quantities of unids, not just 5 or 10 here and there

@@AwesomeNuke 99% of players are never going to have 2500 unidentified gear to process at one time. if u regularly process what u farmed in a gaming session, most people play for the gameplay not the market. If i wanted my gameplay loop to b flipping items to make money I’d play a game like old school runescape
@@HouseTre007 tbh..right now with bauble week at auric...it already begins to turn into a real pain. Easy to end up with just 2 stacks of greens in one evening, not to mention blues and rare stuff.
Wish we could just set tools to salvage only *identified* green and blue automatically, but not touch unidentified..that would simplify so much and I do not get why that is not a thing.
@@HouseTre007 that's fair but even from a practicality standpoint it makes sense to min-max it. Not only do you save space long-term from the mats that would be extracted, but you get the chance to buff up your MF and open everything at the same time. This allows you to play as much as possible, and not miss any metas or group content in-between.
Space = money, MF = money, time = money. No fucking with the inventory; instead it becomes a big to-do and almost kind of exciting.
@@vaisravana2092 You can put the unidentified stack into the account shared space in the inventory and the salvage kit won't recognize it as to salvage it. Might be 3 months too late, but hey if it helps you now, why not ^^

Got 2 Precursor at Silver Wastes out of 9 Stacks of Unidentified with MF stacked during New Year festivities. Without stacking, no drop since launch.

Hi pls help i opened gears at 54 lvl character but it still give 80 lvl materials like mithril ore, do i miss something or they did nerfed?
So if I don't wanna do all this is it good to at least open the blue one and sell the other two directly?
Would you recommend getting an endless extractor specifically for making extra gold off of unid's or even buying gear off the tp to exctract and sell back at a profit?
If have the set up to do unids, yes.
Buying gear off the TP to extract won't work, you have the 15% tax.
Also just buying the extractor as a convenience item is still good
I'll just TP, and hour of my time is more valuable to me than the slight increased profit margin.
I need the bare numbers. What's the difference in gold between sell and salvaging.
So taking the Rare Unid's and just going strait to the silver fed is not reasonable if i don't have the Infinite extractor?

What do you use to make the macros for extracting the sigils and runes?
I personally use Ahk (AutoHot Key).
One thing to point out, while the ToS does say to make sure you have 1 action per key. It does not mention whether moving the item from the inventory to the extractor counts as an action(As in moving your mouse)

I made 800g just from throwing in greens into the toilet and getting precursors. I use the yellows to get my ectos. Sell the blues usually.

My one and only precursor drop came from an unidentified blue. Always identify before salvaging!
Hehe I had a precursor once I was big massive noob back then and salvaged it 😅 and I have proof because I still have the legend weapon skin unlocked

So you should always open the Unidentified Gear (at least the yellow ones)? Up until now I did always directly salvage them with yellow salvage kits. Guess I made a quite inneficient gameplay until now.
No, selling them directly nets you more gold. You open yellow ones if you want to gamble at a chance to get those legendary pre reqs, but honestly, just getting the gold might be faster.

Buying a 2000 gold item so that you can extract 10 silver runes seems like something that won't pay off for a really really long time.
Also this seems a bit too min maxy for my playstile
It pays off very fast if done to that level off efficiency, and yeah this is very tryhard when it comes to goldmaking so it isn't for everyone. I have to explain it though because most players seem to think it's very straightforward when it isn't

This video is sort of wrong. Over time, it's more profitable to salvage everything with the silver fed kit because you get more essences of luck which compound to more magic find.
If your goal was to simply get more essence of luck sure, or you could just get ectos and do that

If I'm being honest, I think Unids are also a mistake. If you know how to use them well, it's pretty much a gold printer especially when the prices are favorable
