Maybe the gold was the friends we made along the way.
This comment is gold! The gold I found scrolling the comments page :p
If I made the amount of gold I do today back at launch... O.o
Yes, they can give you their gold.
Castration.
Are you saying i could sell my friends for gold?
I’ve been on a binge watching guides of GW2 last week. This is an insane game
Yeah me too... Maybe I should play a bit more tho lol
There's a lot of stuff to do, just have fun! 😊
Its an awesome game which gets exponentially more fun if you have an active group of friends or a nice guild to play with / talk to
Had easily 100+ gold sitting in my crafting inventory just wasting away, thanks for this.
Mouse-over to see estimated profit ... wtf, I play since launch and never saw that.
"The greedy trading post takes a 15% cute." Damn you, Evon Gnashblade!
Love this... Great video seems to cover all one needs to learn on a beginner basis.
I just started playing GW2 and this video helped quite a bit, thank you!
Why would I sell the bank, if hoarding is my sole purpose in the game?
great video as always teapot!
I really needed this haha. Thank you. I felt like i was loaded with 150 gold and now i'm back in the 30's haha. time to get back to it!
hey another tea fella! thx 4 the nice guide! despite playing for many years i still learned something new...the "wiki" command in the game. i knew about the wiki, but didn't know you could use the wiki command for every single item 😅👍
Very well explained. Thanks sir!
So helpful, thank you for this info.
Great video thankks again Teapot
No matter how you cut it, making gold requires effort. The real question is, what requires the least effort for the return!
Best options:
Daily login rewards on multiple accounts.
Spend 'real' money on gems.
Farm all nodes you come across.
With the last option, farming nodes is free money. The faster you can farm them the better the return. Use glyphs of industry/harvesting to speed up the process and follow the node farming guides in gw2e. If you can harvest at speed it won't interrupt your 'normal' gameplay and quite often, nearby enemies don't even get a chance to hit you!
OMG mighty....so friggin' helpful! TY
thank you
Holy crap I have ten years of farming…. This genuinely was the most valuable gw video I’ve ever watched!
Hope you make some more my guy. I liked it.
Great video I belive it will help many people
I really wish I'd had this video about 5 years ago when I started playing!
This video is pure "gold" Thanx Teapot!
Tutorial we didn't know we needed. After years of playing, we can finally have fun with the game
W6 is the perfect background for this video
Time to cash in on these tips and tricks.
good content!
1:18 holy cow, i've been playing since launch and never knew about this
i dont think creators know why we want to make a lot of gold, ill explain... i want to make a legendary, but i need materials to make it, the materials are hard to get and i dont have a lot of time to play, but i can buy them with gold, Oh mighty teapot made a video how to make gold.
"sell your materials"...
but i need those materials... to make my legendary... how else can i make gold?
...
thats it
Omg I am so glad I watched this video or I wouldn't have known about that site and seen I had the money just in my bank in mats for the griffon I have been trying to get
Haha, same situation here. Just need 50 gold more before I can get the griffon and didnt realise how much stuff in the mat storage that could be sold :D
Good content
Thank you m8.
okay, but whats the dye name on the skyscale at 7:40? :D
Hey! 🙋🏻♂️ Please can you tell me where is the place that we see at the very beginning of the video ? (treasures) Thanks
It's a raid! wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Mythwright_Gambit
nice video
People come to GW2 from other games expecting it to be all about maxing out your gold and getting best possible gear in very little time. But the game was designed to be engaging over long periods. For instance, crafting a Legendary is meant to take months. If you play the game for enjoyment and to explore content, it's very easy to spend months/years before you even worry about having a lot of gold. I'm going into my 7th year. I have 75 level 80 toons, all in full ascended with some legendary items. I think I have about 1600 gold. My bank has a lot of stuff I never even look at. It wasn't until I'd been playing for probably a year that I started thinking about whether I could make ascended stuff, and by the time I did, I found I already had most of the mats on hand, without having to buy anything. And I've never 'farmed'. GW2 is a game you play for fun, not to become the biggest bad in the shortest time.
...or just buy 20+ accounts, do dailies, send gold to main account. Amirite Teapot? I kid, great vid and information!
Can I use this app if I’m a free steam player?
If you want to turn RUclips Teapot into Twitch Teapot, turn video speed to 1.5x
meanwhile i still dont make gold cuz i also need almost every single material i get for future legendaries xD
what scepter skin is he using for his necro?

Still waiting for that meta event farm!
can I ask how do You craft items? also what is the 'best' craft to pick, most useful to a guardian?
They all have the same value no matter what you choose because most of the Items you can buy on TP / drop.
You can learn craft in every big city in the game ask on the map for a crafting station they will give you a poi you have to go there, click dialogue in npc and unlock discipline the next step is just clicking on stations and you have a whole list of craft options
For guardian I suppose it would be best if you take the armorsmith and weaponsmith route. As you have heavy armor and probably are using a greatsword, sword, shield ect. But tbh, you only really start to need crafting if you want to make your own ascended gear.
The gw2 wiki helps a lot with what ingredients you need and where or how you can get it.
This video shows the basics of crafting; m.ruclips.net/video/pgFfwoAt7rw/видео.html
Hope this helps a little, I know how confusing crafting is, I have been at this point aswell 😅
As for how, in LA (SW of the bank), any race city and the starter zone 'towns', there are icons for each profession and a npc next to it. You speak to the NPC first to 'learn' the profession (2 per character, can increase with gems, though not recommend, more characters are a better way)
For which profession for guard: Armorsmith, for weapons you need Weaponsmith, Huntsman and Artificer.
Basically, a long-term background goal should be all crafting to 500, just chip away at it.
You can actually level all crafting disciplines on your character (you can have 2 active at any time and swap between them without losing progress for a small fee). As a guardian you'll find big value from armorsmith and weaponsmith for crafting exotic and ascended gear!
If a piece of gear is less than ecto listing on TP, it's more valuable to just salvage it....
Might be better to put links of the websites you showcased in the description or pinned in the comments.
As a new player my issue is I don't really know what I want, not so much getting the gold to get it
Ok, Flex Mentallo time : My account is worth 133,241 Gold.
Leaderboard Rank: 16,657.
Liquid Gold Sell portion: 11,901, Liquid Gold Buy portion: 10,901
I checked a year ago and I managed to forget the value, I only remember that I was in the top 10%.
What percentage do you have?
I ask out of curiosity
Time for some hacking 🙊
@@RUclipsChillZone Sorry, never saw the reply. (This is my alt account email/youtube) It says I am higher than 95% of 344,409 accounts
@@eni4862 lel
Obligatory whale hint: Keep in mind that it somehow got common practice to at least run 2 accounts (its rather more than 2 accounts) which already is a big boost in ones account wealth, namely mystic clovers, mystic coins, t6 materials (laurels), and more - and if u even have enough time and motivation you can basically repeat all weekly/daily rotations with the second (third, forth, fifth,....) account to basically obtain multiple amount of golds/loots. It also saves an incredibly amount of time compared to playing just with 1 account. Just Imagine u are at the login reward that gives 6 mystic coins with like 5 accounts thats instantly 30 MCs = around 60-70gold or a big boost for ressources for example to get mystic clovers and a big step torwards the next legendary.
Having only 1 account eventually results in the situation mentioned in the video -> farming hours and hours for relatively low value and taking a small eternity until the goal is reached.
The point is... Dont get tricked when u see ppl having lots of thousands of golds and stuff like mystic coins if they show their main accounts.... Chances are very high that this is the resulz of using multiple accounts
After all the guide explains the basic idea very good :): Items > liquid gold, since gw2 is actually very hard about crafting stuff rather than buying stuff.
But your comment didn’t warn new players that to get any use from those extra mystic clovers, you also must level probably two crafting professions up to level 400 or 500.
Or players could be smart and not support a ridiculous monetization method that does not provide additional content.
I think the allmighty teapot himself is practicing this method of multi accounts so start there :P
I will be discussing alt accounts in all their glory towards the end of this series
@@monalisa-bs4zs maybe you could explain your comment, because any purchase that gives money to Arenanet pays for future content development, including the purchase of additional accounts.
So as a new player there is essentially no chance of understanding how to gain wealth. Noted
The game is pretty convoluted as a new player unfortunately
Didn't understand a thing
Everything is money if you sell it on the auction house. Don't sell it all immediately though, sometimes you can make what you want to buy for cheaper using some of that Everything you found.
Do u know other methoads of farming instead of killing bots?
Well chak - octo repeat loot everything it has little bit time before starts Agen so you can make food go outside or even talk to family. You can do those 12 times day for good gold....
And more time you can play more gold you make ( for comparison I play 0-3h day not every day and I make about 1000g week).
@@Snail_Cs2 how?

I have played for a bit and quit for a bit repeatedly for the last several years and finally started watching some guides like this one.
Maybe I was just being blind all this time but GW2 just felt frustratingly confusing and unintuitive, because as far as I could tell most of the systems that increase quality of life have no tutorial in game. Now years later i'm just wishing I had known all this kind of stuff ages ago because it would have made the game a lot more fun if it hadn't just thrown me to the wolves with no instructions...
Holy crap! Just checked my account value: 97.000 gold xD
ow, 1000 was like 50$ back then, thats like 5000$ worth of gold you got there (prob more, not sure abt the rates nowadays)
302,308 account value, rank 2,279, 29,666 sell, 28,279 buy
I'm finding this a tad off putting!
My marerial storage after 300 hours: worth 2 Gold
my proud achievement is i've gone sub 10k before but usually hover around 11k rank. i am a lazy gold earner tho. got most things i need and doing farm trains don't hold my interest for long. also proud of having 3600+ laurels, with 15 unopened chest of loyalty. yeah and like Steven McClure i am a hoarder and have multiple guild banks with some goodies in them.
I find this title confusing. Watched the video twice and still have no clue how to actually make gold. The whole section on currency is confusing as hell...
😃
ASMR Teapot
teapot has only 65k acc value? damn, and here i thought i was a peasant, unless this is not his main acc?
Your voice is ASMR
I've been playing this game since 2014 and I'm still sitting at a whopping 39 gold...wtf man
That's way I stay peasant :( can't even buy a Grow Lamp...
Ima just buy gold at this point
So how do I make gold?
Bubble and key farming? 80% of my gold is doing that.
completing dailies rewards 2 gold. Easy money.
1 hour blubble farming give you 10g.
@@sagadegeminis9722 go to the pact supply network agents to get those map reward things, go to any map that has shiny baubles in it (not any of the HoT, PoF or EoD maps they do not work), get baubles, profit (sometimes the map rewards you 10 baubles)
pro farmer wants at least 50/day/account so for fun 10 isnt bad
So what you're saying, is that the final daily reward you get is pretty much pointless..
Got it.
I tend to horde a lot. Have a guild bank full of materials, too bad Efficiency can't track the value there as well.
You smell different!
It feels good to amass materials and know that you’re working on something big without ever seeing your gold really go up high. Until you get to Icy/Mystic Runestones 🙃
Sometimes you just need some liquid gold **and** mats! Being able to recognize how to save your resources like the video describes helps you avoid spending gold and you can save it for things that require it. Like those damned Icy Runestones!
That is like asking Rockafeller or trump how to make 4% what I do.
That's pretty much beginner stuff, which is nice, they have to learn from somewhere. But do you record any advanced guides? For someone who has already envoy herald + other leggies, this content is already known.
If you have envoy herald what do you wanna learn. That's pretty much peak gaming
The videos in this series will get more advanced as it progresses!
If you already have envoy, then may I suggest a guide on how to touch grass?
So to make money I just have to break my habit of hoarding every item I've ever collected in game......guess I'll just have to buy gold....
for a casual friendly game... this game is too dam complicated
TL ; DR/W/L
USE THE MARKETPLACE AND TRADE WITH OTHER PLAYERS
Who uses raid currency as an example in a beginners guide??
It's pretty much the perfect example because it links a currency to a crafted gear item. Strikes would work too for that I suppose!
wow back to snakes and ladders me thinks lol
How do you make gold...You steal it through multiple accounts.
Ultragaming
This game should stop making new currencies and reuse the existing ones instead.
If you dont care about legendary items, you're playing Guild Wars 2 VERY wrong.
A First-Better Item from TP is more aesthetic than Legendary if you don't know it, you are playing wrong
Legendary items are the true endgame
Tbh I disagree, I wouldn't say its playing it wrong, when I played, it was because I enjoyed raids, dungeons etc, I had some legendaries but they were never really a 'reason for playing', some people just want different stuf from the game, I bought some when I had some spare gold etc but they were rarely a main thing I was working towards or properly cared about , over 7 years of playing
Why grind for legendaries when you can just swipe your card for better skins on the gem store. lul
@@OryxAU Legendary Armory removed them from just being about skins or prestige, it turned Legendaries into must-have items for quality of life in the game.
I get roughly 10 gold for about 1hrs worth of events and dailies that I don't really do anything in 😅
Also note, you cannot sell things for less than they're worth to npcs on the trading post.

Anybody know if arc DPS is working now with DX 11?
I literally lost my desire to play when the arc stopped working
It is a Beta, you can switch it off. I have and won't use it until it is perfected.

Great video, thanks for sharing your knowledge. But.... regarding this topic, I feel GW2, although a beautiful game, still suffers from the 10 year old design flaw of item- and currency-kreep. The sheer amount of different items and currencies is no longer adequate nowadays. It is overwhelming and makes the game feel more like work than fun from a certain point onwards. It may appeal to veterans, but the casual or less-hardcore player has it difficulties. Why do you need to make a 8 min video on how to "make" gold in GW2? If that is necessary, than there's something wrong with the game. That's one of the reasons I quit GW2. It was getting more like work than fun. Or take the Expansions HoT and PoF, most of the "open world" there feels like a Dungeon. You can't walk 10 meters without an engaging fight - WTF? And I am not an inexperienced player, I have over 2000 hours of gameplay. I know it's because of monetization (spend money or time to progress/have fun), but this is not up-to-date anymore. GW2 could be sooo much better regarding player counts and revenue, if they appeal more to the mayority of players, casual players.
This is actually not an issue for players who understand the currency system, you just go and buy/convert whatever you need. Having a single map currency across the whole game would devalue any kind of new content and make most new players jealous af.
Combat in HoT/PoF is super easy to avoid if you adapt your build and take the correct routes. If you don’t like it stay in core tyria.
This is not a guide how to make money in GW2. This is a waste of time "economic class" on how the game makes gold farming less appealing.
its just me or do u just trash talk the hole time? i just wannt to know how to make gold and not how to understand guildwars....
You make gold by understanding how the system works and using it correctly! If you don't understand the game you won't be able to make gold effectively.
"Flexing" account value. what an idiotic thing to do in a game that sells account value. haha
How would one buy account value?
@@R.senals_Arsenal The basic, Anet approved guide:Buy gems. Convert to gold. Buy things.
The advanced non-Anet approved guide: Buy an investor bot to buy low and sell high. Buy a good computer and more bots to re-invest the gains and triple/quadruple up on time-gated events.
I started around a week ago and I think all In I've had around 9 gold total, I got sick of it pretty fast and just converted gems to gold cause ain't no body got time to wait around. I needed to get a mount to progress my dlc story and wasn't about to spend days stuck.
I tend to horde a lot. Have a guild bank full of materials, too bad Efficiency can't track the value there as well.
It can! Go to the guilds section and you can see your guild bank value!
