Hello !. Excuse me for giving a little presentation of Islam, because it is very misunderstood nowadays, especially on those « Antichrist's » times, where media and politics are mixed to distort history and truth. And terrorists (puppets of the Antichrist) who misinterpret verses, out of ignorance and political motivations, and take them out of historical context (just like radical atheists do by the way), don't help either. Thank you very much for your time. Islam is an arabic word that means the Surrender to the One and Only God, our Creator, Protector, Provider, who gives us life and all that we have, we are safe and sound by his will and grace, we are His and to Him we return, and we have to thank him in this trial life by submitting to him by our free will, or later in the Day of judgment when it's too late to save our own skin. Islam was the original Religion descended to earth from heaven with Adam and Eve (peace and blessing be upon them) in the beginning of humanity. and was passed to people with the succession of the 124 000 prophets and 315 messengers of God to all nations and civilizations since, passing by Noah, Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Ismaël, Joseph, Moses, Aaron, Joshua, David, Solomon and Jesus (Peace and blessing be upon them) during the history of mankind, the last replaces and completes the previous, until the succession of the last messenger of God fourteen centuries ago, Muhammad (Peace and blessing be upon him) to complete the noble morals of all mankind, to bring humans and jinns out of darkness into light, and to purify people's religion and belief from corruption and polytheism, and return it to purity and true monotheism, like it was in the times of the prophets (Peace and blessing be upon them). Many Religions that we know nowadays, at their beginning were true and under Islam, initiated by one of the prophets of God, but their original teachings, history and scriptures have been corrupted over time with falsification and polytheism, or lost and replaced with false ones. That's why Islam is the only Religion accepted by God nowadays, which consists in bearing witness that there is no god besides Allah (God in Aramaic, the original language of Jesus and the Gospel), and that Muhammad is His servant and messenger, just like Jesus and Moses and others are His servants and messengers. Never a messenger of God said he was God or literally son of God, it was the people after him who changed the words of God and corrupted the Religion. God is unique and absolute, He does not need to have a family and sons or to associate anyone else with His kingdom, He can simply create whatever He wants, everything belongs to Him, and to Him everything will return. Allah said in Surah Al-Mu’minun : “God has never begotten a son, nor is there any god besides Him. Otherwise, each god would have taken away what it has created, and some of them would have gained supremacy over others. Glory be to God, far beyond what they describe. The Knower of the hidden and the manifest. He is exalted, far above what they associate. (91-92 / Translated by ITANI) Allah means the one and only God, the God of all prophets and creatures, the creator of the universe and mankind, and the Master of the Day of judgment, where our destiny, Hell or Paradise, is decided based on our faith and deeds in this trial life, and above all, Allah's mercy. Allah said in Surah Al-Ikhlas : In the name of God, the Gracious, the Merciful. Say, “He is God, the One. God, the Absolute. He begets not, nor was He begotten. And there is none comparable to Him.” (1-4 / Translated by ITANI) Allah said in Surah An-Nisa : O FOLLOWERS of the Gospel! Do not overstep the bounds [of truth] in your religious beliefs, and do not say of God anything but the truth. The Christ Jesus, son of Mary, was but God's Apostle - [the fulfilment of] His promise which He had conveyed unto Mary - and a soul created by Him. Believe, then, in God and His apostles, and do not say, "[God is] a trinity". Desist [from this assertion] for your own good. God is but One God; utterly remote is He, in His glory, from having a son: unto Him belongs all that is in the heavens and all that is on earth; and none is as worthy of trust as God. Never did the Christ feel too proud to be God's servant, nor do the angels who are near unto Him. And those who feel too proud to serve Him and glory in their arrogance [should know that on Judgment Day] He will gather them all unto Himself: (171-172 / Translated by Muhammad Asad). Allah the Most Merciful said in Surah Ali-Imran : Behold, the only [true] religion in the sight of God is [man's] self-surrender unto Him; and those who were vouchsafed revelation aforetime took, out of mutual jealousy, to divergent views [on this point] only after knowledge [thereof] had come unto them. But as for him who denies the truth of God's messages - behold, God is swift in reckoning! Thus, [O Prophet,] if they argue with thee, say, "I have surrendered my whole being unto God, and [so have] all who follow me!" - and ask those who have been vouchsafed revelation aforetime, as well as all unlettered people, "Have you [too] surrendered yourselves unto Him?" And if they surrender themselves unto Him, they are on the right path; but if they turn away - behold, thy duty is no more than to deliver the message: for God sees all that is in [the hearts of] His creatures. Verily, as for those who deny the truth of God's messages, and slay the prophets against all right, and slay people who enjoin equity - announce unto them a grievous chastisement. It is they whose works shall come to nought both in this world and in the life to come; and they shall have none to succour them. (19-22 / Translated by Muhammad Asad) Salam (Peace).

There's a video on RUclips somewhere of a US tank crew during the occupation of Iraq who "caught" some locals "stealing" pallets for firewood. They had a couple of pallets strapped to the roof of a well maintained old Japanese car. So... the Americans drove their tank over the car to punish them for "looting". The owner was a taxi driver, they took away his livelihood after plunging his country into chaos to the point where he was out scavenging wood. The rank and file of the American military are utter chuds with no empathy or compassion. The British have a tradition of a small but highly professional standing army. The British army pride themselves on professionalism and simply don't behave like that. Many Afghans and Iraqis have a much higher opinion of the Brits than the yanks accordingly. The great American WW2 General George Paton noted that the Germans regarded only the British & Commonwealth forces as their equal in combat. The Germans stated that the US Army was reluctant to sieze the initiative and preferred to sit back in dug in positions pounding away with artillery and armour and calling in air support rather than assaulting, advancing, or out-flanking the enemy. Paton put this squarely down to the quality of junior officers. The American elite avoid serving at all. The smart middle class people who end up serving largely avoid the frontline. Europe has a martial culture that places value on honour/bravery in frontline service. The Americans have elected multiple Vietnam draft dodgers (Clinton, Bush, Trump) as President. The hereditary monarchy of Britain has frontline combat vets in the last 3 generations (Philip WW2, Andrew Falklands, Harry Afghanistan)

I'm from Bulgaria and I like walking around and discovering monuments. In my home city of Varna, I was walking around when I came across a memorial that was in French. I was so confused at first, and it turned out to be a memorial to French Marines who died while stationed in Varna during the Crimean War (in route to the front against Russia, the French Marines stayed in Varna where many died from Cholera). This is interesting because it memorialized soldiers, fighting for our former overlords, against a country which we had traditionally positive feelings towards, as our liberation was one of their aspirations, something they achieved 25 years later, in order to keep us under their thumb. So, a very awkward monument to say the least. What made it really weird is that, unlike other monuments to fallen soldiers and countries, this one was in the middle of nowhere for the city. most of them are in a park called the Sea Gardens (Primorski Gradini, or Morskata Gradina as the locals call it) and you have memorials for Ukrainian soldiers during WWII and so on. It is the most popular part of the city and they bring in a lot of attention. This memorial for French Marines was in the North West part of the city in the middle of a suburb with expensive houses where people mostly drive anyway, it's just randomly there, so it's not like anyone is noticing it. I looked into it, and apparently it used to be in the southern suburb of Asparuhovo, a pretty popular part of the city, but was moved up to the less popular area in the northern part of the city. My guess is that they want to get rid of the monument due to its history, but they risk needlessly pissing off France who holds a lot of political and economic sway. Not that the French are aware of the monument, more that if it's discovered a monument to French soldiers was destroyed, then the French would pay attention and think that Bulgarians hated them. So to play it safe, they just hid the monument out of view. Again, just my hunch.

I did joke around with some ANP guys about how much gear we wore, because it deffinately made it rough in the heat, and I had a few friends that needed aid due to heat injuries, but less than I honestly expected. Also fun that our LAV IIIs (armoured personnel carries we used) had a tendancy to have the A/C stop working. Hanging out in a large metal box in the sun is a great weight loss program.

Because no matter how much people hate us, deep down inside, they love us. That's why they keep talking about us. They just don't want to admit it. We don't envy anybody because we appreciate what we have. And it says a lot about the Islamic Rep. government when the president decided to skedaddle with a stash of cash rather than stay. Just a reminder: when America "sent a trillion dollars to Afghanistan", what that mostly means is we gave a trillion dollars to American defense contractors and weapons manufacturers. That's why there are piles of unused military equipment everywhere: the main point was never to do anything but send money to these industries. What all that crap is for is beside the point. If we paid them to build equipment to dump directly in the ocean it would be a vast improvement in our foreign policy.

This and that older VICE documentary on North Korea are some of the most interesting pieces of journalism ever. Showing what actually happens on the ground through a "day-in-the-life" style seems to be something entirely overlooked by a lot of journalists, and I think the fact that you told everything day by day in a sort of vlog style is just amazing, because the story tells itself. You didn't go in with an idea of what story you wanted to tell, but yet it still turned out amazing. I think the big takeaway from this video like other's have said is just that life goes on. We see in the news about all these terrible things happening in other countries, so when something like this comes around and totally shakes up your world view, it's memorable. Great video.
Meh still wasn't that amazed. It's Kabul, a heavily westernized city and they simply painted it over, with the Western infrastructure still largely intact. It would have been more interesting (and daring) if he, say, went down the countryisde or some of the poorer and war-torn areas of the country.
It's more like a tourists view, not the actual state of the country. But the title does literally mention "tourism" so I dont know why people think this is some kind of reality representing Afghanistan and what goes on there now.
@@CrazyGaming-ig6qq Yeah, i was about to complain as well. This is all nice and dandy, until you are one of the minorities being oppressed. It's kind of surreal to see all those names on the wall in the cemetery, because in many ways, it truly shows how many people were affected by the war in Afghanistan. It's mind blowing to see how many names were there, you don't realize sometimes how many people died in the conflict that was 1000's of miles away.
Going to Afghanistan as a tourist... Huh. I've been to Afghanistan. I was deployed there for 9 months and spent most of that time in Jalalabad. I saw so much but all of it was under constant stress and by the time I left, I like everyone else was just sick of the place and never wanted to see it again. But you know, watching your video is kind of surreal. To think that both you and I experiened very different things in the exact same place. Really puts things into perspective. It would be nice to rethink some things.
As an American, it sucks to know servicemen died, and money burned for an international embarrassment. At the same time, I feel sorry for Afganistan itself for basically being every other superpower's playground of geopolitics for decades. In addition, it's sort of humbling to see people who actually believe in what they're fighting for. Lord knows I haven't felt that way about any American war for decades.
Afghanistan was literally our Vietnam 2.0! Everyone was asking "why are we still there?" long after we domed Osama back 2011. Every year we spent there after that was a pure waste of American lives and $$$ cash. We extended the invasion for nothing. There was nothing to be gained. 10 years later we finally pulled out of there and instead of it being a win for democracy in 2011, it became an embarrassing loss just like Vietnam.
@@river-t4y Did the criminal politicians in the US lose lives? Nope. Did the criminal elite politicians in US lose their money? Nope. The problem with saying your're there for tourism is that a) it sounds like a cover for some sort of intelligence work, but b) only a really idiotic intelligence agent would actually claim to be a tourist, and c) actual CIA/MI6/FSB guys are usually pretty clever. So people just end up confused.

(91-92 / Translated by ITANI)
Allah means the one and only God, the God of all prophets and creatures, the creator of the universe and mankind, and the Master of the Day of judgment, where our destiny, Hell or Paradise, is decided based on our faith and deeds in this trial life, and above all, Allah's mercy.
Allah said in Surah Al-Ikhlas : In the name of God, the Gracious, the Merciful.
Say, “He is God, the One. God, the Absolute. He begets not, nor was He begotten. And there is none comparable to Him.” (1-4 / Translated by ITANI)
Allah said in Surah An-Nisa : O FOLLOWERS of the Gospel!
(19-22 / Translated by Muhammad Asad)

The Taliban are not good people but they are not mindless terrorists like ISIS either. In their minds they were defending their country against foreign NATO invaders, which no one can argue is the truth. With the back in power it's not surprising that they are maintaining what was leftover by the western invaders (including me 2 deployments Us Marines). Ironically the security is tighter than what NATO provided. We couldn't even secure Kabul, since the pull out attacks on the city are down 70%. Didn't expect that the Afghan to have fond memories of the Brits. The exact opposite of what they think of the Americans. That's interesting....

Funny we never try dropping food or homes on people it would cost 1/100 of what we do currently 💯

Those older Vice documentaries are the best.
Meh still wasn't that amazed. It's Kabul, a heavily westernized city and they simply painted it over, with the Western infrastructure still largely intact. It would have been more interesting (and daring) if he, say, went down the countryisde or some of the poorer and war-torn areas of the country.

The problem with saying your're there for tourism is that a) it sounds like a cover for some sort of intelligence work, but b) only a really idiotic intelligence agent would actually claim to be a tourist, and c) actual CIA/MI6/FSB guys are usually pretty clever. So people just end up confused.
Correction: Although Muslims are not allowed to keep dogs in their homes (unless it's a security dog and for security reasons) we are not to be hurtful towards them. Animal cruelty is prohibited. The Caliph Umar during his Caliphate said that even if a stray dog under my rule is starving, I will be severely questioned for that. That's not the exact quote but just something along the lines. And it's not a metaphor either. We are to treat animals like we'd want ourselves to be treated.
