I had absolutely no idea that binding set gear in your inventory prevented duplicate drops. I was farming mother's Sorrow Inferno staves and I got so many axes.
The armory station can be used to reset your character for free at any time--just keep one slot on the armory station empty so that you can load a blank build onto your character. The armory station might be easy to miss, but it's good for new players to be aware of this option--it gives players the freedom to try out whatever they want when building their character, without having to worry about making a mistake. (It's also important to realize that loading a blank build from the armory station also removes your character's weapons and armor. Don't forget to re-equip them if you reset your character, especially if you use a costume and might not notice your armor's missing.)

One point about the Cyrodiil quest - and I've actually encountered this scenario on a new toon - you can potentially run into some PvP combat if you are visiting the scroll temple while an enemy is attempting to take the scroll. In the rare event that happens, just hold back and wait until they leave. They're more than likely trying to get the heck out of there quickly anyway.
"...without these abilities, you're not a tank at all. You're just someone that's creating frustration for a party." Please say it again for the DPS in the back who think it's fine to queue as a tank without a taunt. And then tell them to take off their Ring of the Pale Order too. Thanks!

Random normals are not content. Everyone at every level is forced to do them every day, so the right way to do them in the long term is whatever is the absolute fastest. Important thing to note with the transmutes, if you create (not re trait) gear with transmute stones, you will get 25 transmutes back when deconstructed. You only get the 25 back but it's a good way to store transmutes if you're maxed out since you can't bank them, just craft whatever gear costs you 25 transmutes so you don't lose out on any.
This is actually big. I didnt realize this at first but it was such a solid move on ESO's part. You don't usually see them adding super convenient things like this in the game.

How much gold have I saved by not crafting anything? edit: What eluded me was that NEED TO PRESS "R" when using guild traders. I thought that I needed to be in that guild to see their listings (because this is the first MMO that does this, that I've played) . This is a good video, thank you Ghost! btw. using "port to friends house" addon, I've found a large abandoned guild house with all the crafting stations in the game and most content that guild can have. Now I don't have to search for tables and waste time. Hell, I don't even use a home anymore :P
@@polarblade1159 cheap houses and inns are great for fast travel esp during festivals, treasure map/antiquities/survey running. - Also for a new toon - there is no need to ask for taxi. Some of our places have paid for themselves already.
And if you have eso + or just a lot of food i your bank/inventory and have collected a LOT of food ingredients you can go to a coocking station and select anything, then you want to craft the maximum amount you can of that item and you should be maxed out in coocking. Really good on a new character.
So I've been playing skyrim for years and years. I'm getting eso for the first time this weekend and have been watching videos all morning. I'm not gonna lie I'm super scared haha so much stuff to do.
Just as a fyi, if like me you did the intro to PVP quest years ago to unlock Rapids on characters, you will not be high enough to unlock the new mounted speed passive without doing PVP, nor able to unlock Rapids as it has moved further up the Assualt line. Not a huge deal, but it certainly isn't a spend five minutes - get a 30% mounted speed boost (though the tip about mounted speed being an Assualt passive is helpful).
Research is the most important because yoz cqnt recreate any piece of gear woth transmute if you dont have any traits researchet for that slot and armor type. Divines is the most important but if you dont get divines its fine to research anything else for that slot just so you can craft it with the transmute table. But absolutely never do the divines research as the last research for that slot it will gona take ages
Thank you for explaining people stealing taunt from the tanks I have played a tank for 5 years now and have seen that multiple times and it is mostly all with new players not understanding I hope this reaches those people LOL
The repair kit thing is so funny to me because in Final Fantasy XIV it's the opposite: there are vendors who sell beginner items like Gysahl Greens and various Dyes for cheap, but players are almost always told to use Auction House which ends up being way more expensive. It was actually a hustle for a short time to buy cheap from vendors and sell high on auction house to scam new players who didn't know better.
16:40 When I search for "Witchmother" at the guild trader in Vulkhel Guard it brings up zero results. Why is that? Where do I get those potions if not from there? I am still very lost even after 20 hours in this game.
Some guild traders are not very good and won’t have much on offer. If it doesn’t show anything it means there is none of that item for sale (or you spelt it wrong) On PC eu the best trader locations are craglorn, deshaan and vvardenfall - these guys usually have loads of stuff
@@Sweet-CA I thought it was like a global auction house, similar to WoW or every other MMO in existence. Took me a while to understand it's literally just an NPC that sells one guild's items. I will just skip using potions and stuff for as long as I don't seem to struggle because of it. Teleporting through the world to buy items ruins the immersion for me, which is the one thing I like about this game.
if you wanna stay in specific zones and buy from guilds, dont forget about the traders in the outlaws refugees.. and the traders spread around the map at random locations. just fyi that not all the guild traders are located in one location.
@@salinaember9527 Sadly that doesn't even ring a bell for me. Either the game is not great at explaining these things or I am just a crayon eating idiot, but every answer to every question about ESO is something the game hasn't even touched on remotely so far. I've rarely been so frustrated and overwhelmed by an MMO like ESO. Thanks for the info tho, maybe I can make something of it in the future.
2 things.. The Golden Vendor. I've gotten the majority of my shoulders through the Golden. It's a sure thing, you can use AP OR gold, which I've heard people griping about not having AP... don't need it. Someone else mentioned its harder to get the passive than just doing the Ballista training. Do Town dailies and scouting missions, you can avoid 90% of PvP that way... sorry you might not be able to avoid the ganker that has nothing better to do than sit on a town daily turn in NPC.
Are you sure about destructive reach is it a certain morph cause mine doesn't say taunt for the morph I use destructive torch mages wrath critical surge weakness to elements and dark exchange really working well for me
even with meticulous disassembly and all the extraction perks, its a complete gamble whether or not you'll get any good tempers or better upgrade materials, i went through 1.5k rubedite ore and only got 2 gold mats from it ;^;
Obviously, the entire game is literally rng based lol, all he saying is your boosting your chances at extracting gold mats not guaranteed of course but I rather raise my chances as much as possible for any type of gold mats
Its great to do these refreshes, since they've added new things even videos from 2 years ago are outdated. Storage from PvP and writs! Another great video! Also, Congrats on *13 million views* for your channel!
How much gold we talking for maxing out the inventory slots as far as they go with the pack merchant? I have around 30-40k and i'm doing all my crafting writs daily atm alongside quests which brings in something like 10-20k thusfar and I just got my alchemy and enchanting done so now i'll be able to include those writs too on top of blacksmithing, woodworking, clothin and cookin which is what I was initially doing to get this far!
@LuckyGhost or experienced players I have a question/scenario - Me and my GF just started playing ESO (both ~ lvl 15, I am Templar & she is Nightblade) and I had question about character builds. Should we: Go for the solo god mode builds for survivability *OR* Go for something more traditional so we can play off each others strengths We play on PS4, both are High Elf, both have ESO Plus (for craft bag mostly), if there is a better place to ask this let me know
Curated loot has created a dirty little exploit. I don't have nirn dagger's or jewelry bound so they ALWAYS drop on the last boss. I did this to help my friends get their DPS geared BUT, I now see other people selling nirn daggers for 3 mil a pop. Not sure how I feel about this but it has definitely made farming specific items MUCH easier to farm if you chose to bind specific things
is this a pc interface? I play on xbox and it seems every video i watch has different HUD/interface. I've never seen that constellation skill screen.... I'm just getting back in to after quite some time.
Great video, I'm a returning player who hadn't been around for like 3 years so any advice is welcome. Quick question, as you said in the video, food, drinks and potions are good but you said you should buy those. Is investing in alchemy and provisioning worth it, or buying is better?
Super helpful stuff. I have one clarification question though: should I be saving gear that I haven't researched yet? Or should I just deconstruct and assume I'll get it again later? Maybe only save divine and training gear and decon the rest? Also, any tips on "best" things to buy from crown store? I got a bunch of free crowns from ESO+ but afraid to spend and possibly "waste" them.
I've looked up and found the same sort of thing mentioned with best first things to buy from the store. The Banker is almost always mentioned #1 5,000 crowns. A Merchant is sometimes recommended, but they are easier/quicker to find than banker so that can go either way another 5,000 crowns. Also the Any Race, Any Faction is sometimes listed if you care for that. Another item mentioned were the extra DLC's if you don't plan on doing ESO+ all the time. As to researching, at the start I was just researching anything and everything. I'd try and keep ones I wanted/favored more first. It gets to long times down the road 3-4-5 days even. You can go search markets for a cheap item with a type you want when you get a free research spot. Some though can be expensive/rare. So maybe if you really want can look at markets and see which ones are more costly to buy an item you are just going to use for research.
So is there a skill point limit because I don't want to spend all my points on crafting and get a trash character. Should I have one character solely for crafting and no combat?
I have over 1000 hours in this game, 3 lv50 characters and I'm returning after 2 years. Should I create a new character or just stick with the ones I have?
I had a massive break and came back - my characters weren't super high level. I really struggled to get the feel of the mechanics. I also felt no attachment to them.
I wish mount upgrades and crafting were account wide . Same as sky shards . I'd play so much more if that were the case . Oh and the ability to switch to vamp or werewolf if you have other characters witg it
Been playing nearly a year.. didn't know guild traders sold repair kits. Just curious.. where to players get repair kits to sell? Don't they need them themselves?
Doing the battle grounds daily will give you a reward of the worthy. Which also gives you transmute stones and also a white bag for a grand 1 every time you play 😂
I’m personally not a fan of the Battlegrounds, but I feel forced into it with all the decent rewards you get for doing them, like way more stuff than the daily dungeon run
I tried what you said for Cyrodil and it doesn't work. You cannot teleport to that area as a new player. I started zone story, but cannot get to the zone.
After you take quest from zone guide, like in the video, you sign up yourself to one of the campaigns, by pressing "L" and choosing one of them, and then you get teleported to the area when you can do your quest, without need of doing any pvp stuff.
Wow I wasted 13K on 100 blue food for Mag & health at CP 160 level at a guild trader because the other's didn't have any. I feel ripped the hell off 😕 I'm new to the guild store stuff as I ran out of reward foods, feels bad man.

And just when you've learned it, they'll change it so much and your build that you've loved and learned is now trash and useless. F eso.

Hey Lucky I’m a huge fan and I find all your videos really really helpful!!! Your a great RUclipsr and I really love your work, your really helpful and you’ve helped me learn a lot about ESO making me enjoy it even more! I’m a new player but your videos are awesome and your doing a great job! Keep it up and I wish nothing but success for you in the future!
Thanks for your guides. I haven't played since Orsinium was new. All this stuff is helping me catch back up
Amazing Video, i just stated playing 2 days ago and i'd like to Thanks you a Lot! really useful especially foods, mundus and Mount speed 30%
Glad to hear it!
The only thing houses are useful for is having everything you need right together (Crafting, Transmutes, Dummys
I've been playing for a couple of months. Very good information in this video, some I knew, but some I've learned. so thanks
I'm a returning player and this is exactly what I needed, thank you!
This was the most helpful video I have seen as a brand-new player!!!
I do love how you always use the correct figures of speech in the correct context lol.
So much info. Lol
I’m new to eso. This was helpful!
6:28 "The boss is guaranteed to drop an item that you do not have"
Yes, that explains my collection of plague doctor's boots and 0 Mother's sorrow -_-
Bind the item immediately after getting it, thats a common unknown
did u bind those boots to ur character??? if not the system assumes u dont own it
Glad I watched this,I have been wondering why I keep getting the same stuff from bosses haha
How do you get the helmet effect? Your outfit is awesome would love to know what pieces you are using
So I've been playing skyrim for years and years. I'm getting eso for the first time this weekend and have been watching videos all morning. I'm not gonna lie I'm super scared haha so much stuff to do.
Been playing off and on for years and I learned some stuff. Thanks!
You taught me various new things that I didn't know, thanks Lucky Ghost.
I'm glad I joined a guild - they have many properties with grandmaster crafting stations and all the mundus stones!
i have been playing off and on for years ns did not know it needed to be found to not get it again. THANK YOU!
Thanks for the info bro!
Awesome guide Lucky Ghost, this will help a lot of people
OMG thank you for this, my mount now feels like I'm flying.
If it doesn’t show anything it means there is none of that item for sale (or you spelt it wrong)
On PC eu the best trader locations are craglorn, deshaan and vvardenfall - these guys usually have loads of stuff
This video was insanely helpful cheers
Glad to hear it!
Are you sure about destructive reach is it a certain morph cause mine doesn't say taunt for the morph I use destructive torch mages wrath critical surge weakness to elements and dark exchange really working well for me
It was helpful. As a returning player there were 2 points I didn't know.
even with meticulous disassembly and all the extraction perks, its a complete gamble whether or not you'll get any good tempers or better upgrade materials, i went through 1.5k rubedite ore and only got 2 gold mats from it ;^;
Obviously, the entire game is literally rng based lol, all he saying is your boosting your chances at extracting gold mats not guaranteed of course but I rather raise my chances as much as possible for any type of gold mats
Its great to do these refreshes, since they've added new things even videos from 2 years ago are outdated. Storage from PvP and writs! Another great video!
Also,
Congrats on *13 million views* for your channel!
Uhhhh what chest piece is that with the wings?
How much gold we talking for maxing out the inventory slots as far as they go with the pack merchant? I have around 30-40k and i'm doing all my crafting writs daily atm alongside quests which brings in something like 10-20k thusfar and I just got my alchemy and enchanting done so now i'll be able to include those writs too on top of blacksmithing, woodworking, clothin and cookin which is what I was initially doing to get this far!
Amazing video for a new player thank you!
Very usefull video. Bye the way, what clothing/armor ist that in the thumpnail??
Very helpful, thank you!!!
Hey Lucky, nice Videos! But can you say me plz what Style you usw? What are the Style of your wings?
@LuckyGhost or experienced players I have a question/scenario - Me and my GF just started playing ESO (both ~ lvl 15, I am Templar & she is Nightblade) and I had question about character builds. Should we:
Go for the solo god mode builds for survivability *OR* Go for something more traditional so we can play off each others strengths
We play on PS4, both are High Elf, both have ESO Plus (for craft bag mostly), if there is a better place to ask this let me know
OMG so much good info here. Thank you
Thank you so much for this video. So much of it actually helped!!!
I can't get the option to bind items. I tried right clicking, clicking F to get more actions but nothing comes up for binding
If you dismantle them they also bind, and not everything is bund
I the move speed quest.. What do you mean just go there?? How do I actually get to that spot without being locked in the pvp zone?!
is this a pc interface? I play on xbox and it seems every video i watch has different HUD/interface. I've never seen that constellation skill screen.... I'm just getting back in to after quite some time.
You can also destroy the armor or whatever to count as a a found item to take off the loot table
Great video, I'm a returning player who hadn't been around for like 3 years so any advice is welcome.
Quick question, as you said in the video, food, drinks and potions are good but you said you should buy those. Is investing in alchemy and provisioning worth it, or buying is better?
Do set peices always have the same stats ? And what if u get a set item with the wrong enchantment then what ?
5:38 oh gg thanks😂😂
I feel like this and build videos are the only content we are seeing nowadays, regardless! fantastic video!
its what people watch, so its what we make. what would you like to see?
Can we get a good build for doing trails?
Hiking boots, comfortable clothes for the weather, lots of water. Should get you through most overland trails.
mobs and chests have the complete loot table for the dungeon sets, don't skip!
Yeah ive always hated rushing dungeons miss so much stuff
Whats the name of the armour set in vid photo looks like red samurai hat and sword how to get it
This was really helpful
How do you find Devine stone equipment?
Is there any broker system like in dcuo?
Great video , how do I get skins like the one you have on in the video please do you have a video on this ?
Do you think youll ever open up a discord?
Great video!
Thanks!
wasnt paying attention in the game and ended up skipping siege quest how can i lvl up assault quick?
queue up for battlegrounds
@@LuckyGhost actually ended up spending some gold and fixed walls and doors 😂😂😂
So is there a skill point limit because I don't want to spend all my points on crafting and get a trash character. Should I have one character solely for crafting and no combat?
No you have more than enough points to do crafting on your main and get every skill and passive you want
Can ESO be downloaded from Philippines with or without vpn through official ESO page? TIA
What are those shoulders? I see them sooo often ingame! :O
i'm just super lost in the Game currently... just running around doing quests as a newb
10:15 I love that this is kinda the opposite of FF14 lol where people will sell stuff for way more than you could just get it from an NPC merchant
Watching this in preparation for buying eso: I like your funny words, magic man.
Which motif is this? :))
Oh and the ability to switch to vamp or werewolf if you have other characters witg it
How do you have so many skill points?
Been playing nearly a year.. didn't know guild traders sold repair kits. Just curious.. where to players get repair kits to sell? Don't they need them themselves?
writs will occasionally give repair kits, and many players log in, do writs and log out, leaving them with a surplus of repair kits
well, when you already have millions of gold, repair gears at merchants is much more convenient..
When you have 10 - 18 toons running daily crafting writs you are going to get a ton of the repair kits as rewards.
Lmao im so in love with crafting and alchemy type skills that i just do them on every single character ever😅
Why is pc prices different from console?
How to enter Cyrodiil??? Ive got intant kill when I joined alliance wtf?
Doing the battle grounds daily will give you a reward of the worthy. Which also gives you transmute stones and also a white bag for a grand 1 every time you play 😂
also rnd
@@abbs3432 yer he said that 🤣
I’m personally not a fan of the Battlegrounds, but I feel forced into it with all the decent rewards you get for doing them, like way more stuff than the daily dungeon run
@@bringeroflight5853 feels that way considering there is no value in doing pledges themselves anymore with how unrewarding it is in vet hm
When i tell you i smashed my head against the table... 8:25
Wow I wasted 13K on 100 blue food for Mag & health at CP 160 level at a guild trader because the other's didn't have any. I feel ripped the hell off 😕 I'm new to the guild store stuff as I ran out of reward foods, feels bad man.
We move on 💪 back to the grind at least you know now!
is the game still worth hopping in?`i started lost ark when i decided betweek lost ark and teso, lost ark is done for me now, too much grind. I like pvp a lot, does the open world pvp thingy work now?
open world pvp is doing really well! they refreshed the servers and it seems to have really helped. definitely check it out
Do I have to start at lv 1 every time I make a new character ?
Yeah
