This is, no joke, a masterful representation of the sound quality of Meris pedals. That being said, you can get dirty and as degraded as you’d please, as well, and ALSO have that sound extremely high-quality. Fantastic job, Meris. I have the Enzo, Ottobit Jr. and Mercury 7 that I will take to my grave. But, I also need these two new ones in the meantime. I cannot wait to see if you make an Ottobit/Enzo style hybrid pedal. 🎉🎉🎉
Meris incredible pedal. Only question i have is anyway we can get a stereo spread control on a firmware update. Would like to try and get a wider spread if possible. Either way this is the best reverb fx pedal ive ever used.
I've felt in love in sound of Mercury7 about 10 years ago and have it in "buy list" for a very long time. Got it only last year since I've started to practice full hardware live performances. The cathedral reverb and the 'baby blue' metallic colour design suits my personality like nothing else. Now I'm using Mercury7 with morphing by expression pedal in every video I create . It's my favourite piece of expression. I'm a lil' bit scary of Mercury X, because it can add more complexity for preparing live performance. But actually it is always an excuse for me not to buy it before trying it. Oora's setup with Vermona looks absolutely lit!
Seen a few demos. The Timeline’s time may be up. This sounds bigger and more beautifully out of the way all at once. Maybe the genius pre-delay function is how that almost glassy sense of space seems to be present without killing the source signal. Every reverb pedal (and probably plugin) I use brings on headroom and spacial separation/clarity issues. I love them all (come on, what’s not to love about big, cavernous, fake spaces) but on top of all the levels of real time creativity this seems to offer, there is that lovely, “get the hell out of the way of my part” factor that I haven’t yet heard in a pedal or a plugin. Sounds like in the reverb world, something has come along that might finally live up to that overused title: Game Changer. Lovely demo video. I have to say that some of these sounds you are using would probably sound as beautiful dry…😀
Hi @MerisUs & @OoraMusic, I bought a MercuryX, and have an issue. I can't change the pre-delay amount when using it with midi, there doesn't seem to be a way?
you're videos are becoming art themselves. if all else fails, you can always become a gear seller by collabs with all the brands. If I were a pedal/synth manufacturer I'd also send you one hoping for a review haha! great work.
Nice demo. Meris pedals are amazing! I tried the LVX and it was deep. I am a reverb and delay pedal junkie. Have both from Empress, Source Audio, Strymon, Eventide H90, and a Specular Tempus. All have a different sound, feature set, and truthfully enjoy each and every one of them. My wallet hates me!!
Thank you, interesting. Just a question: at around 11:25mn i dont understand about 'the pre-dealy is synced to the instrument' and in the example at 12:30 i don't hear the 'delay' and 'ryrhmic addition' you speak of.
Just got one of these. One thing I really like is controlling the beautiful sounding filter. Which you can control by expression pedal, MIDI etc.. So, this unit might seem expensive initially, but when you consider that you can use it as a lovely stereo filter, and that it also does this trem/vibrato stuff too, it's closer to a major part of a pedal board system. Just add a combo expression volume like the HoTone Soul Press II, a good cheap compressor like Mooer Yellow Comp, or even Walrus Mira, a dual overdrive like EHX HotTubes or Hotwax, and a nice cheap BBD like the TC Electronic Bucket Brigade, and it's the centre piece of a whole very high-quality board. Yes, the LVX is awesome too, but there are great sounding bargain basement delays. You do end up spending 300eur for a similar quality stereo reverb like the Golden Reverberator. But you get much less control, no MIDI, limited presets/no user presets. Del-verb adds a nice delay, but even less control. Source Audio Collider or Ventris might be competitors, cheaper, but they do less. Zoia or Zoia Euroburo compares in some ways, but similar price, and Reverb is very good, but not as good as this.
I have the LVX for the ultimate delay and have been wanting to get a Nightsky for the longest time, but now Mercury X has appeared. Seeing that you have experience with both reverbs which is the one you prefer?
Hi Oora, thanks for the great review! I love the Deckard’s dream! I am trying to decide about getting the CMX 1978 or the Mercury X to go with my LVX. I know the Mercury X has more algorithms and all the depth of the LVX - but I am wondering about the clock option not being present on the Mercury X and the immediate control of the Faders. Are you letting go of the CMX 1978? What do you think?
I'm so happy I waited for Meris to release a sister (reverb) pedal to sit to their piece of art --the LVX. I, of course, never knew they would release one, but I just had a feeling due to LVX's sound quality and it's vast sound design abilities. AND....I't has a sample & hold????
Quando la smetterai di farmi vedere questi gioliellini? Che poi li compro :D Spero di vedere presto un tuo video su Oxi One ^^. Bravo. Complimenti come sempre :)
Great video as always! Love your content. I've noticed you have other videos where you compare different reverb pedals. I'd like to know how would you compare the mercury X reverb to the eventide reverb alghoritms. Does the mercury sound better in your opinion? Does the tail feel more interesting and alive?
Hello my friend. I think of selling my ( Bigsky + Cloudburst ) to buy this Mercury X. Do you think there is enought différence to justified. Thank you so much
Hi Oora, great video - as always! Thanks for this. Can you tell me what that midi controller (?) is at the end of the video on the right side of your table? Thanks!
I’ve just ordered my Mercury X I’ve just sold my chase bliss cxm 1978 have made the right decision getting the Mercury X please 🙏 help me is it really that fantastic the Mercury X 🎵👍
good demo oora. i think modulated reverb is overrated. meris algos are great and CXM1978 still reigns supreme. it's the fader interface with immediate visual feedback and playability and simplicity of use without menu diving or secondary functions that makes it so special. plus it sounds amazing and is very versatile despite its limited algos. feel like all these eventide-esque algo pedals are overwhelming to use with underwhelming results
Incredibly grateful to you Oora! You bring our pedals to life. Your sounds are chilling and beautiful. Thank you for everything.
My pleasure! I am a big fan of your products and your people!

Dang, just bought the Mercury X to pair with my PerFOURMer. So pumped for this. Great demo!

Another video gem, so precious. Ok, I now know that Mercury X is all I wish from a reverb pedal.

thanks man! still far from making a living from it

Oh yes!! Nice job on the demo!! Thank you
thanks!
So awesome. I purchased the LVX because of your review/demo of it and I fell in love with it. I’m obviously getting this now.
gonna be the best combo!

Fyi the companies give him the gear in exchange for him doing reviews and demos
Great demo. Have been waiting for Meris to release one of these. Love your content, always!
Thanks for watching!

it does!!
Lovely atmosphere in this thing
yes!
great review as always in depth and insightful.
thanks!

Good evening Is the Volume has load on the Meris Mercury x as it is on the CXM 1978 and does it have nice depth thanks 🙏 Michael 🎵☘️
It sounds Beautiful ☘️💚🎵🙏

Does it sum the input signal to mono or process it as true stereo?
Dual channel processing, see page 17 of the manual
You should do audiobooks man . Great voice
ahah thanks! I would be terrible at reading tho :D
Hi Oora, great video - as always! Thanks for this. Can you tell me what that midi controller (?) is at the end of the video on the right side of your table? Thanks!
sure is the shik n32b
@@OoraMusic Thanks! I will take a look for it.
Really good! The pedals also seem nice 😊
Thanks! 😃
YES!! Thank you. How about a demo with the OP1 for this page, or your Patreon??? Ambient goodness pleeease. ❤❤
Working on it!
Hey Oora! Could you tell us what are the main differences between the 2 pedals? What can a Mercury X do that the LVX can't?? Thanks! :)
one is a reverb and one is a delay. With some tricks they can overlap a little, but their algorithm are very different!
Thanks a million 🙏 gotcha 👍
what's that stand the vermona is on during this video?
its my pedal train pedalboard!!
Splendid! 🙌
Thank you! Cheers!
very nice Oora 👌🏼
Thank you 😃
Is it me, or your favorite synth is the Vermona!. Is this synth no to hard to learn?. Thank you
Verona is probably the easiest you can buy!
@@OoraMusic thank you so much
Is it still your favorite Synth?
I’ve just ordered my Mercury X I’ve just sold my chase bliss cxm 1978 have made the right decision getting the Mercury X please 🙏 help me is it really that fantastic the Mercury X 🎵👍
it is~!!
Will this replace the mood mk2 for you?
no, never. I love mood mk2
@@OoraMusic you’re a dangerous account for my bank balance man lol I’ve ordered the mercury x and bliss after watching your videos.
what happened to your Zahl AM-1??
is in my other studio, which I use to mix!
PerFourMerはどんな時でも最高だね
love it
thanks!

Grande 😊
What happens if you run out of oxygen ? From all the diving
who knows!
You’re playing through different pedals what kind of review is this you don’t even talk about the technical aspects. 👎🏻
hey buddy, next time you do the demo, I watch and let you know how to do your job.
The manual is there if you want to read it
Why don't you try actually playing an instrument into it.
I dont know how to play real stuff. I dont even know if this reality is real anymore.
@@OoraMusic What YOU do is as real as anything else being done by others. 🎉
🫣 oh no, another thing to buy
:D
