William Melendez It’s AT&T mobile insurance which is Asurion. $8.99 a month with a $200 deductible. Beats Apple repair costs but at least $100.
As a pilot, we use the pulse ox quite frequently, especially at altitudes. It will be interesting to compare the Apple Watch Series 6 blood oxygen feature to the traditional pulse ox that simply slips on the end of a finger.

Trading my series 3 in for the blue ones and impatiently waiting for two more days until it’s here! I’m so excited!
It is impossible to have an in accurate blood oxygen reading, you either get an error, or you get a proper reading! And the reason for having one is to be able to have an automated! The time when people usually have poor blood oxygen readings that have problems with their heart and respiration is when they are having problems oxygenation during some point in their sleep usually. Other times when they are having an event and the rest of some sort. Usually though it is going to be a sneak up on you factor… I know because I have a family member that has to have oxygen at night and cannot sleep at any time unless they are wearing their oxygen machine. Their oxygen level drops to write around 90 to 94% which is indicative of a problem and can cause brain death and probably even develop into issues with memory, pinhole strokes, and dementia if not treated over the long term. I believe this watch will help so many people so buy it for your elderly and those with any kind of heart or respiration problems!

This is my first Apple Watch (series 6) and I’m loving it!
Just want to include my thoughts. I went from the Series 3 to this one. I attempted to maximize the battery life on both devices by turning off the display and making it set to tap to wake. Otherwise, I let it just run the sensors I bought it for. Battery life is less than the series 3. I had to charge that one every two days. This one makes it like 32-36hours before running out if I don’t charge it(still charges quick though). I checked the oxygen sensor compared to two other finger devices(one the innovo deluxe oximeter) and found the results to be pretty consistent or at least within a percentage point or two. At night it gets a little finicky so I ignore the crazy low ones that come out of nowhere at night. But otherwise I love the color way more and the screen size allows one additional complication on the modular face which is exactly what I needed. So for me I am very happy with the purchase.
Edit: As a follow up to this, it turns out my watch was afflicted with the early iOS 7 bug that would cause the battery to drain quickly. I updated to iOS 7.0.2 and ever since then my battery life is significantly better than it was and is better than my series 3. I can now definitely make two days or can go a whole week easy just charging the watch while I’m in the shower. So now I definitely feel it is a better product in every way.

@Savant if battery life was all I was looking for in a watch i would not be buying an Apple Watch. Given the fact that I was purchasing an Apple Watch for features outside of the battery life I am perfectly content saying I like it better in spite of that one issue. Since it lasts nearly twice as long as the rated life I have every reason to be happy with it.
In upgrading from a Series 4 to Series 6 Apple Watch, it should be noted that the "Always On Display" actually dims in the instances that it used to previously shut off with the older series. In addition the display uses a light sensor that dims the display in lower light and raises brightness in brighter light. Some my prefer this behavior, other may find it to be a nuisance. The Series 4 Apple Watch had a more uniform brightness without the always on display. With the Series 5 and Series 6, the Always On display can be turned off but there is still no way to adjust the light sensor to keep the display from dimming less in lower light situations. All of this is done in the interest of saving battery life but, in my option the "Always On" display is more a a "buyer beware" feature that may not be too everyone's liking.
For once I disagree with you Greg, you said anyone with a series 4 or lower should think about getting the Series 6. I don't think hardly anyone with a series 4 should upgrade, same design with only an always on display, o2 sensor and compass missing compared to the series 6! Idk about most people but none of those features matter to me, I have a feeling Apple might refresh the design of the Series 7 after 3 years of the same design so if you have the 4 or newer just keep it for another year!
I have the Series 5, and got the Series 6. I’m keeping my Series 5 as a back up. I got the Series 6 specifically for the Blood Oxygen.
Overkill. Trade it in for credit at Best Buy and get something else with that credit or sale it or give it away to someone your lead to. I use to be the “keep it for back up” but there was no purpose at all. I mean do you really feel that the 6th will fail you?

LaVerite124 not overkill at all, and there is a purpose. I am not well, and use all of the medical features. I can have constant monitoring having two Apple Watches, wearing one while the other charges. My Series 3 is going to my daughter.
If its just for oxygen levels u could have just bought a pulse oxymeter for very very very less cost & and it would be a medical device too!

New to Apple Watch. Do most people here get screen protectors, or feel they are unnecessary?
Personally find it unnecessary: if you get the more expensive stainless steel that comes sapphire glass which is pretty scratch proof (much more than a “protector” would be).
And the cheaper aluminium ones (like I have) sport a strengthened glass similar to the iPhone’s, but even if that scratches it’s really light and only visible when you look for it.
I’d rather add a bit more money for Apple Care+ and have the confidence of a cheap replacement of my glass actually breaks-and going by how my iPhone has handled frequent drops like champ, it’ll be just fine.
I had a screen protector on my Apple Watch 3 for the last 2.5 years or so. Maybe 3.5 years? I don’t remember. I took it off a few months ago and I don’t have any scratches on it. But that’s also because I take care of my things. Set broken a phone or any electronics in the last 20 years
I had the gold stainless steel 44m Apple Watch 4 and now I have upgraded to the stainless steel gold 44m Apple Watch 6 the gold is different to the previous watch ...my previous watch is more of a rose gold and the new one is more of a yellow gold....this product is one of the best apple product out of all my apple products I use it every day and could imagine my day without it ....highly recommend it

I have ILD Interstitial Lung Disease and this Oxygen meter will be the reason I upgrade. I also wanted to share this information with others who have lung problems. Thank you for that review and try and keep in mind that minority when you might do reviews for products like this in the future.

Once I got my Apple Watch cellular v3, I tend to leave my phone at home , especially when we are out with kids and family and friends. I can be reached if necessary. Also when I go for runs and bike rides, same thing. I use my phone less and that’s great because it keeps me from being “distracted”

Ok, So I took the apple bait and did go get the Series 6 just to see - since I had gotten my series 5 as an impulse buy and had some things about it that I wasn't 100% sold on. This is my assessment so far...
Minimal changes, yes. However. The slightly better battery life is honestly serving me WAY better - with the series 5, if I wanted to use it for sleep tracking, I almost had to over-think the charging process to make sure I had enough juice to get me through my day (4am-9pm, with a workout, and AOD on, and LTE connected for part of the day). The Series 6 charges faster which is noticeably faster imo, and the battery is much more efficient especially when I spend 1-2 hours per day on LTE connectivity alone. So, I think with my own use case, this is absolutely a worthy upgrade. I understand not everyone uses it to this degree, but for my own use case, it's been worth it.
As far as the O2 tracking... it actually came in handy in kind of a fluke situation. I had a small electrical fire in my classroom last week, and was able to use the o2 feature to see how my oxigyen saturation was as I suffered some smoke inhalation. Just for kicks, I tracked it manually a couple of times over the couple of days, and saw my o2 go from 93-94 back up to 99-100 after treatment. I also tested my o2 when I was having trouble breathing in the days after, and noticed the difference in before/after I used my inhaler as I recovered from the smoke inhalation. As an asthmatic, having the o2 was actually a cool piece of data to have, and my boyfriend (also asthamtic) was quite intrigued by this feature. He's not a smart watch person, but after this, he may become one!

My blue Apple Watch 6 arrives today - Upgrade from the Apple Watch 3 - I used a lot of photo watch faces that I create myself however they are pretty simple as you can't really add a lot as for as complications to them

Excellent video. I have a series 4 and honestly I do not see enough improvements to upgrade. It is worth to mention that since I upgrade to Watch Os 7 I am having battery life problems and nowadays I can't use auto sleep because battery life is terrible and I decided not to track my sleep and charge it at night instead os charging my AW twice a day.
I have had the same issue with my series 4 since watch OS7 update
@@leekappes Yes it is terrible, with Watch Os6 my AW battery lasted almost 21 hours. now with Watch Os 7 it barely lasts 12 hours, I checked the battery health and it is 95%, I think that is a software issue hopefully with Watch Os 7.1 it can be solved.

I don't know but it seems like you are excusing the short comings of the blood oxygen sensor. They probably should have put in more research and development to ensure it was ready to go. It feels like they just released it to have a marketing sales pitch to get people to upgrade IMHO.

Sadly to get a good blood oxygen level with that watch like to get a accurate reading you have to take the watch off and place it on your finger tips

The bottlenecks and delays that I have found in the Apple iPhone 12 SE, and the series for that I have which is as fast as the series 5… Is when I use voice over because I cannot see very well. Interestingly enough before this I was still fun bottlenecks in applications like Amazon, where they try to sync everything in real time. So there’s 20% upgrade in speed should fix these issues at least until the next big upgrade…

Sending my Apple Watch2 as a present. I kept my Leatherman Tool bracelet, though. I wish my Apple Watch2 face was one of the watch faces. I can’t wear analog watches, so I really like analog watch faces.
I find the oxygen sensor to be off in my watch. I compare it to a medical sensor that goes over the end of my little finger, and the Watch6 will show around 88% while the medical sensor shows 95%.
For some reason my Watch6 unlocks itself. This will then start processes like sports and run the battery down faster.

Im upgrading from the series 2
Mine arrived and was never able to charge and already had to send it for repair. Now I am without an Apple Watch. Apple should have just sent me a new one as it was completely new but didn’t, a bummer from Apple.
Always on display is much brighter than my other Active 2 watch. Samsung should update their watches to brighten more than they do. Battery life is still a major difference
It doesn‘t meassure your hemoglobin, it meassures the oxygen saturation of the hemoglobin.

I got the Apple Watch SE. Love it so much! It’s definitely worth losing a few features from the series 6.I can’t even use the EKG and the blood oxygen sensor! Plus always on displays just drain battery and when you flick your wrist it’s just so sensitive. The S-6 ship versus the S5 ship is not a big difference in performance. Did the surgeon heart sensor is not that different from the second GEN. SE is worth buying. Take it from me a tech reviewer (and Greg)(and everyone else)
The series 5 is a better deal than the Se & always on display drains like an extra percent compared to no always on, you can disable flick to wake and leave it on to save battery life also
Was gonna get the Se but bought the s5 44mm for $275 it’s essentially a series 6 for the price of an Se 40mm

My series 5 is made useable by having a battery in my armpit and a lead wrapped around my arm. The charge disc slips between watch and arm.Apple can patent this solution to a 14 hour watch as it’s unusable currently unless you do nothing all day.

The lack of third party watch face support sucks. I can't think of a single reason why Apple doesn't want to add this. It just cripples their product. How long do people need to keep requesting it for them to actually listen to their customers? This thing is not cheap.

It’s good for you that it isn’t, seriously. I appreciate, that like an actual watch, the display is always on. The 6 has a shit ton of upgrades and it’s very much worth the upgrade. If you still feel comfortable with the 4, good. Keep your money and keep what you like.
