I still think both are two different things in terms of context though so that's why I still include this. - 2:38 This also applies to older sims with childish trait - 3:13 Turns out it's not exclusive to elder couples, but rather couples who have been married for quite a while - 5:42 This also applies to sims who are feeling tense - Sims in sims 2 can sleep in bathtub so I got that one wrong unfortunately

i have seasons but i literally had this happen with my sims one time. one of them was playing the piano and the other one was outside of the room, and i swore he started to sing along with the piano. it tripped me the fuck out but idk if that was just a glitch or a coincidence

Some details from me: - with Dine Out when sims order matching meat-based dinner & nectar drink (for example some red meat dish and red nectar, or fish based dish and white nectar) they'll get a positive moodlet about perfect duo. - when a sim any age (child-elder) goes to sleep while being in scared mood, they'll have a nightmare and you'll get a notification with description of it. - kids during swinging on a swing can get nauseous and get uncomfortable moodlet. - sims who got responsible trait from parenthood character values, will always come home from work with already completed daily task. - kids (not sure about older sims) can fail at blowing out the candles on a cake, they will smile because of that and try again - giving grim reaper the lil' grim toy (knittable from nifty knitting) will reset the age stage of a sim, who gave the gift (so if they were like 1 day from becoming elders, they will once again be at the beginning of adult life stage) - apologizing the sims, who have a grudge sentiment towards our sim may remove this sentiment. (doesn't always works, sometimes it just shortens the duration of it) - if a toddler is angry/sad because of something (not working with moodlets from needs, but it works with i.e. destroyed dollhouse, relative/pet death, potty accident etc) and their parent will use the option to cheer them up/calm them down, there's high chance of removing the negative moodlet. It works similarly with older sims, but it has higher chance of success when: 1. both sims have a rather high relationship 2. sim who is cheering up the sad/angry one, is in inspired/energized mood (not sure about the happy one tho). It's quite powerful, you can remove even moodlets which were supposed to last few days)
The lil grim gives me an idea of a neat story line I could include in my game: a sim who never wants to grow old and die but doesn't want to be a vampire so they just so happen to be around Sims that die all the time 👀 so are able to give Grim a lil grim often.

I love that they gave toddler's more interactions in TS4! I love playing families in TS3 but the toddler life stage is a little lacking and they essentially do the same 3 things all day long until they age up. I haven't played with a family and TS3 but it seems like there's a little more variety!

Unpopular option, but I love the babies of sims 4. In 2 and 3, my sims were constantly leaving the babies on the floor in front of doorways and in narrow passages, causing massive pathfinding issues. The amount of types my sims have had a bladder failure ON TOP of their babies is way too high.
Same here. Also, there a lot of baby interactions compared to The Sims 2, like rocking them, cooing, showing them off to another sim, and such. In 2 all social interaction is just cuddling and playing. I don't know about The Sims 3, tho, I've never played it.
Some extra details -If a toddler has a nightmare they will go wake up their parents. -With Parenthood, if a parent packs a sack lunch for their child, the child will eat it at school and receive a positive moodlet about being loved (This doesn't happen if the child eats breakfast) -If a sim has a sad moodlet and goes to sleep, they will cry in their sleep.
I came straight from the sims 2 without playing sims 3 and i really liked that we could multitask and chat with multiple sims at once. Also my sims are never stuck anymore. I remember sims in the sims 2 were stuck so many times and couldnt get past another sim so they def improved greatly for that matter
acctualy its worse than sims 2, sims 4 sims cheat.... to be able to not get stuck if they can't finda path the game allow then to clip even the walls different from sims 2, so simulation is acctualy worse
I just want to point out that your Sim self looks like he belongs perfectly amongst all the NPCs, at least in my opinion. He's perfectly handsome while also subtle enough to blend in. Also I didn't even know that some of these subtle details are in the game at all, so thank you for this informative video!
Fun fact about skeletons from jungle adventure in the sims 4: if your sim gets cursed and becomes a skeleton, when they eat a pile of food forms next to them and when they drink they also spill the water like grim reaper.
Finally!!! Everyone talks there were details in TS2 n TS3 but no one never talks about the MANY cool details in TS4!!! FINALLY JUSTICE lol 🤣🤣🤣 I can't help thinking that EA putting cool details in TS4 that aren't in the previous games, is doing the basics, because the newest game is supposed to be better than the previous ones, but after all, I think that being able to apreciate these cool details about sims 4 is really good, and we should do it more often, it is right to complain about what's wrong, but it is also important to enjoy and even praise what's right and good
If I remember right, sims could also scoot over double beds in the beginning. If it was a thing, then it probably was also broken in some update like the dancing cowplants.
Nah, it's indeed a bug There are workarounds, but they may or may not work for you. For me, it's totally random when it decides to work, regardless if I play pure vanilla or with mods.
I was enjoying it, thinking that games dont dont entertain me that much, because i would play jsut for a while and be bored. Then i came back to sims 2 and there i realised that it wasnt me, it was just boring-noconsequences-easy sims 4. No iam fully invested again
It's nice to see some positivity towards Sims 4 Never played 1,2 or 3 so I don't have nostalgia towards them So Sims 4 is my one and only and I love it I have some sort of phobia to old 3d graphics so that's one of the reasons
Tbh the other games aren't good just because we played them as kids, they are good because EA stopped trying. I play sims 3 the most because I like FAMILY gameplay which EA has said NO ONE LIKES which is a lie.
@@Ilivepuppys I wouldn’t say they stopped trying because while Sims 4 lacks in some features there is so much to love about the game that people ignore. I prefer 4 to the previous games because the gameplay is a lot more simple to get behind than the previous games. The previous games had a lot of bullshit that made them frustrating sometimes. I personally am not too big on family so I don’t know much about that.
10:06 That's actually pretty realistic. Men can produce breast milk if they're given the correct hormones to trick their body into thinking they recently gave birth. Male and female breasts aren't different - men just have smaller ones.
My favorite little thing is that sims look at things. Like if they're cooking and talking to someone they may look up to talk while they cook, or while walking by something they might look at it, or while walking their dog they might watch their own dog when it stops. Im not sure if its exclusive to sims 4 but I've certainly noticed it more in the sims 4
There are many many basic things in TS4 that didn’t exist in previous games. Like Sims being able sit on the side of the bed. Because TS4 is most people’s most played/most familiar game, they take these things for granted.
I read before that unhappy people generally focus on what they don't have and happy people tend to feel gratitude for what they do have so this video is creating some happy vibes.
1:21 I was drinking a soda and spit in out when you played "Single Ladies." That caught me off guard lol. Also, the stuffed animal eye one at 8:00 threw me for a loop. Never realized that.
There's also this detail in sims 4. I don't know if sims 1,2 or 3 have it but when a sim is listening to a music with earbuds and you switch the control to another sim, you won't hear the music unless you switch back to the sim who is wearing the earbuds. Edit: You also won't hear the music if your sim went to work/school
"Hilarious. Love this job." Grim has no chill, I swear. lol My personal favorite is: Sim: *asks Grim Reaper about his career* Grim Reaper: You'll find out soon enough. Me: 😰
Some features I noticed too: You can name your cowplant Your sims can drink and eat at the same time. Your sim can read or use their phones while sitting on the toilet. I once saw one of my sims using the toilet while they were drinking coffee too Slob sims can pee in the shower, relieving their bladder while getting their hygiene up as well Your sims can fart (gross) on command, and also swear. This will lower manners if they are a teen. (comes with Parenthood)
Sims would take naps in the bathtub in the sims 3 as well! I remember i would always make my sims take a bath if I forgot to have them sleep before work so they could do hygiene and sleep at the same time.
I still enjoy the TS2 and TS3 the most, but I really enjoy these videos that you make about different details between the games. I appreciate the Sims 4 for what it offers and play it often as well.
one of my favorite details is when it’s new year’s eve (holidays are from Seasons) sims will watch the countdown to midnight on the tv and chant together and then if they have a friend nearby they’ll hug or if their partner is nearby they’ll do a kiss on the cheek at midnight. it’s just so cute to me lol
Had no idea about some of these! I know that TS4 isn't the best Sims version, but it's the one I play the most and I have a sentiment for it. There are just things that I wouldn't be able to play without anymore, including gender customization. I am trans myself and being able to make sims that are like me is great. I hope they expand this functionality in the future.
I've never played the earlier installments of sims, but knowing that these features/details are not in the previous games make me appreciate the game more
I remember my sim was playing guitar and singing at the same time, her talkative cat actually meow along which is just super cute, I don't know if it's the singing or the guitar playing that trigger that auto interaction tho.
Lmao I always love your editing 😂 but Sims 4 gets a lot of flack, yeah if you compare it to previous games there's a lot to miss but I've played Sims all my life and enjoy each era thoroughly 💛
Found a little, but a cool one! in the sims 4 when sims are cleaning the counters, if an object is placed on the counter, it will dissapear until the sim is done cleaning
Here are two more fun little details about TS4: - If you hang clothes to dry on a clothesline, cats might try to swat the droplets - If you're knitting, cats might start to play with the yarn balls
Gonna add some: I found it easier to plead for the death with children (don't know why, I always succeed). In addition, if there's no children around, make sure one grown up have confident mood. The demand action always works and I've saved one sim many times
A detail from me: If you have spa day and get to work your sim can get ideas based off their active career the one I got was: "_ Learned a new method of rehabiliting criminals _ can't wait to share with coworkers at the precinct"
i found an intresting details in the sims 4! you see, you know how every night, the moon with will look different and will be like full moon, half moon and stuff well, if you moongaze on specific moons, you'll get a happy moodlet because of how pretty the moon is :D I first found out about this when my outdoor sims moongaze at 3 in the morning and then getting a happy moodlet
I know it’ll never happen but a sim game with all the details content from past games would be so cool. It would have so many things to do and would be so detailed
One more detail If you have a house in mt komorebi you will notice that your sims will leave their shoe/slippers in the entry area before head into the house
I love every videos that you make, your puns and jokes while explaining information is soo entertaining.. you're just so different from other simmer RUclipsrs tbh, your contents are all so fresh and new and exciting and you always put all the extra efforts in all of your work... Cheers for onlyabidoang !! Hope you'll become famous one day bro
I'm not sure if this happens in the Sims 2 and 3 but ... -If you have the expansion of parenthood and its abilities to the maximum or very advanced, you can see small balloons in the babies when they cry, and an option will appear to find out what they want, a balloon in the form of a bottle or diapers will appear on what the baby need, previously in the sims 4 you had to guess. - Mermaids can sing to the sims to change their mood - I'm not sure on this point either, I know that in sims 2 and 3 they react when they buy something cheap, but in sims 4 they don't, if you buy them a cheap bed, they will get an uncomfortable mood for sleeping on something cheap. - In the sims 4 you can see the "tears" of the sims when they cry - Children can have happy moods for "having a good childhood" - In the sims 2, children will automatically hug their parents when they get home from work if they have a relationship, but in the sims 4, in some of my games something similar has happened to me, children and sometimes infants, will hug their parents when they come home from work. - If you dress and tag your sim as a clown, he will automatically become a tragic clown - If an infant completes skill levels above 3, he will get the "happy Toddler" trait - Edit. Toddlers can eat "normal" and they can take it them self And they are the only ones, I repeat, I am not sure if some of these points are wrong.
Great video! I even have no corrections to make! Only memories to share... I remember when I tried to get the 39th thing happen. I arrested a sim that I knew was an alien and got fingerprints, but nothing. After this video, I'll try again... Later... I also remember when pets' death animation was missing (I even have a video of it up still). Then they silently added the animation in game and... In short, crying. Dancing cowplant issue seems new to me. I have always made it dance with the cheapest base game stereo. I'll go test it out.

In 2 and 3, my sims were constantly leaving the babies on the floor in front of doorways and in narrow passages, causing massive pathfinding issues. The amount of types my sims have had a bladder failure ON TOP of their babies is way too high.
oh nooo 😂
me frantically looking for my baby in the sims 3 only to click on them and find out the parents LEFT THEM IN THE PARK WHEN THEY CALLED THE TAXI.
Same here. Also, there a lot of baby interactions compared to The Sims 2, like rocking them, cooing, showing them off to another sim, and such. In 2 all social interaction is just cuddling and playing. I don't know about The Sims 3, tho, I've never played it.
Omg there are so many little details I’ve never noticed 😭 the teddy bear w the sad eyes 🥺😭😭😭
That one was actually heartbreaking lol
Some extra details
-If a toddler has a nightmare they will go wake up their parents.
-With Parenthood, if a parent packs a sack lunch for their child, the child will eat it at school and receive a positive moodlet about being loved (This doesn't happen if the child eats breakfast)
-If a sim has a sad moodlet and goes to sleep, they will cry in their sleep.
@Camisha Cajes LMAO
@Camisha Cajes literally and when the child has a monster under their bed and can't sleep
@@StarrieMoonlight u can actually get like a wall paper thingy to prevent those lol
@@avey5229 o thank you, I'll have to look into that :]
Can teens eat the sack lunch too?
Grim Really out here laughing at our sims
I need more Grim content tbh
@@darthasheth1693 Yessss they have so much personality
We need more Grim interactions!
@@darthasheth1693 Life and death awaits xD i hope it will be fun
I came straight from the sims 2 without playing sims 3 and i really liked that we could multitask and chat with multiple sims at once. Also my sims are never stuck anymore. I remember sims in the sims 2 were stuck so many times and couldnt get past another sim so they def improved greatly for that matter
acctualy its worse than sims 2, sims 4 sims cheat.... to be able to not get stuck if they can't finda path the game allow then to clip even the walls different from sims 2, so simulation is acctualy worse
if you ever had to deal with pathfinding in sims 1, you appreciate sims 4 not constantly soft-locking your entire game a lot more
Dancing toddlers is my favourite. Toddlers are so cute when moving their hands up and down automtically.
I just want to point out that your Sim self looks like he belongs perfectly amongst all the NPCs, at least in my opinion. He's perfectly handsome while also subtle enough to blend in.
Also I didn't even know that some of these subtle details are in the game at all, so thank you for this informative video!
It also looks really similar to the RUclipsr irl
These details restore my faith in this game, just a tiny bit. If only they paid attention to major issues as much as these details.
I find it very interesting that when teens ask adults about woohoo nobody gets embarrassed! The courage it took them to ask pays off 😊
What's woohoo?
@@SidVacant69 Woohooh is a physical activity for adults only, can lead to pregnancy
sometimes they do... at least that's what I saw
woah really? all my sims get that feel going if they give the woohoo talk
The grim is funny as hell. The ease dropping had me dying😂😂
Any time my sim would slam the fridge I'd mutter, "who's bills you paying to be slamming shit... "
Stop. Bringing up childhood memories over here! lol!
FINALLY JUSTICE lol 🤣🤣🤣 I can't help thinking that EA putting cool details in TS4 that aren't in the previous games, is doing the basics, because the newest game is supposed to be better than the previous ones, but after all, I think that being able to apreciate these cool details about sims 4 is really good, and we should do it more often, it is right to complain about what's wrong, but it is also important to enjoy and even praise what's right and good
No clue what you mean by kid friendly. I’d keep my kids away from all of them until they’re like, 11.
@Sims Freeplay says a sims freeplayer
@Sims Freeplay yeah i agree. sims 2 is better suited for adults, cos sims 2 has so much "juicy" stuff happening! :-)
If I remember right, sims could also scoot over double beds in the beginning. If it was a thing, then it probably was also broken in some update like the dancing cowplants.
No, they can still scoot.
@@Kourtney00 The last time I tried it in my game they couldn't. But it also could be one of my mods too.
Nah, it's indeed a bug There are workarounds, but they may or may not work for you. For me, it's totally random when it decides to work, regardless if I play pure vanilla or with mods.
With snowy escape: If a Sims gains a "anti-technic" lifestyle, they love living off the grit and when the power/water gets shut off :D
They get a frequent tense moodlet if you have technophobe lifestyle with geek trait
I’m very happy to have a positive TS4 video for once. People are so negative with this game and not all of it is deserved
Watch Petey Plays it, he is positive and inspiring, showing great objects in game, how to improve some lots, gameplay inspiration etc. :)
i think the main problem with sims4 is that they did not start over after simcity failed. they kept building on the multiplayer base they had.
Most of it is deserved.
I was enjoying it, thinking that games dont dont entertain me that much, because i would play jsut for a while and be bored. Then i came back to sims 2 and there i realised that it wasnt me, it was just boring-noconsequences-easy sims 4. No iam fully invested again
Actually is a good game
Sims 5 should have every sims' games little details that the others don't have
It's ea they won't
The same has been said about sims 4 before its release too..
see the pattern?
It’s difficult we can’t have everything
I don't think so. Let every game be individual and offer a different experience. I don't want the same game pumped out to me every few years.
EA: YOU HAVE TO PAY TO RECOMMEND US SOMETHING!1!!!!!!!1111 😡😡😡
The Sims and Pets in TS4 Seasons/Snowy Escape can walk in the snow were you can see the footprints like the sand. (Even Anakin Doesn’t like sand)
Though it's in the Sims 3 too
that's only in special areas. Sims 3 hand that everywhere and I believe there were even 3 snow depths levels?!
It's nice to see some positivity towards Sims 4
Never played 1,2 or 3 so I don't have nostalgia towards them
So Sims 4 is my one and only and I love it
I have some sort of phobia to old 3d graphics so that's one of the reasons
Tbh the other games aren't good just because we played them as kids, they are good because EA stopped trying. I play sims 3 the most because I like FAMILY gameplay which EA has said NO ONE LIKES which is a lie.
@@Ilivepuppys Thanks for your point of view :)
@@vurvo574 Okay I am trolling mostly but dude you such a sims 4 simp I don't even want to reply to you anymore.
@@Ilivepuppys lol
8:21 -"what's with the umbrella?" -"ssh I'm under cover". I died. 😂😂😂😂
"Dogs can swim in open water"... yes, they should be able to, but my dogs usually decide to take a nap ON the water surface 😂
the audio matching to the mouths is such a small thing but makes a giant difference!!
10:06
That's actually pretty realistic. Men can produce breast milk if they're given the correct hormones to trick their body into thinking they recently gave birth. Male and female breasts aren't different - men just have smaller ones.
Indeed, also the reason men can have breast cancer as well.
lol wtf.. "men can produce breast milk *if they're given the correct hormones to trick their body* so they cant lol. stop trying to make this normal
Wow! I already love the Sims 4, even tho it's lacking but there's a lot more detail in this game than I thought! I love it 😄
Wow ESPECIALLY Get to Work- I thought that Expansion was quite lacking but there's a lot more nuance to it than I thought!
#9, The same thing is kind of in the sims 3, but with imaginary friends, if you select another sim, the imaginary friend will disappear
Woah!!! Wasn’t expecting this tho :0
Great as always!
Half of these I didn't know. My favorite Grims reapers comments!!!... they are hilarious. " And they were like, 'please spear me! I have a family! "
"Hilarious. Love this job." Grim has no chill, I swear. lol
My personal favorite is:
Sim: *asks Grim Reaper about his career*
Grim Reaper: You'll find out soon enough.
Me: 😰
Some features I noticed too:
You can name your cowplant
Your sims can drink and eat at the same time.
Your sim can read or use their phones while sitting on the toilet. I once saw one of my sims using the toilet while they were drinking coffee too
Slob sims can pee in the shower, relieving their bladder while getting their hygiene up as well
Your sims can fart (gross) on command, and also swear. This will lower manners if they are a teen. (comes with Parenthood)
The cowplant naming came with an update (for lilsimsie), and the farting on command is also available for slobs :D
Drinking n eating at the same time is already in the vid

02:30 You can also see the imagination when is a childish adult sim :D
Star wars
Okay- All of these details are so cool, I'm actually thinking about giving The Sims 4 another try :D I want to see these in person
Lmao I always love your editing 😂 but Sims 4 gets a lot of flack, yeah if you compare it to previous games there's a lot to miss but I've played Sims all my life and enjoy each era thoroughly 💛
I love your videos! my favorite thing is when you add little texts of the sims talking like at 10:51 lol
Found a little, but a cool one!
in the sims 4 when sims are cleaning the counters, if an object is placed on the counter, it will dissapear until the sim is done cleaning
1:25 I love these little details you put in your Videos :)
Here are two more fun little details about TS4:
- If you hang clothes to dry on a clothesline, cats might try to swat the droplets
- If you're knitting, cats might start to play with the yarn balls
These are nice pack crossings
Sims with Compassionate trait (aquired from Empathy character value) can remove other Sims' negative emotions
4:22 this is freaking cute as hell
Gonna add some: I found it easier to plead for the death with children (don't know why, I always succeed). In addition, if there's no children around, make sure one grown up have confident mood. The demand action always works and I've saved one sim many times
I haven't had much luck with the seduce option
That "otw building my own sunda empire in space" got me laughed so hard🤣
the toddler ones are so specific and adorable !! ;-; i just warmed up to the sims 4 recently so haven't played toddlers/kids yet
A detail from me:
If you have spa day and get to work your sim can get ideas based off their active career the one I got was:
"_ Learned a new method of rehabiliting criminals _ can't wait to share with coworkers at the precinct"
EA put more effort into the animation of dogs dying than the animation of babies
Subjectively more important
i found an intresting details in the sims 4!
you see, you know how every night, the moon with will look different and will be like full moon, half moon and stuff
well, if you moongaze on specific moons, you'll get a happy moodlet because of how pretty the moon is :D
I first found out about this when my outdoor sims moongaze at 3 in the morning and then getting a happy moodlet
I know it’ll never happen but a sim game with all the details content from past games would be so cool. It would have so many things to do and would be so detailed
I learned so many things about The Sims 4 from this video alone TT
One more detail
If you have a house in mt komorebi you will notice that your sims will leave their shoe/slippers in the entry area before head into the house
The original and first Sims music is so nice! Giving me very weird, nostalgic, happy vibes
Thank you so much for the kind words! I really appreciate it 😊
the way sims dancing in the interaction queue just says "dancing" makes me so happy and idk why. its just wholesome.
1:50- the itsy bitsy speedo
Your movement worked! The cowplants can dance again!
The dog lightly trembling in the old age death animation genuinely makes me so sad
1:51, that was the funniest Sims moment I’ve ever seen!
- Mermaids can sing to the sims to change their mood
- I'm not sure on this point either, I know that in sims 2 and 3 they react when they buy something cheap, but in sims 4 they don't, if you buy them a cheap bed, they will get an uncomfortable mood for sleeping on something cheap.
- In the sims 4 you can see the "tears" of the sims when they cry
- Children can have happy moods for "having a good childhood"
- In the sims 2, children will automatically hug their parents when they get home from work if they have a relationship, but in the sims 4, in some of my games something similar has happened to me, children and sometimes infants, will hug their parents when they come home from work.
- If you dress and tag your sim as a clown, he will automatically become a tragic clown
- If an infant completes skill levels above 3, he will get the "happy Toddler" trait
- Edit. Toddlers can eat "normal" and they can take it them self
And they are the only ones, I repeat, I am not sure if some of these points are wrong.
Beyoncé playing for that one Sim walking completely took me out 😂🤣😭 and the animation of the dog dying of old age was heart breaking😭😭😭
Oh yes! I also remembered when pets death only consists of the pet sitting in place and nothing else. And thank you so much!
Tested it out.
Cowplant didn't dance and detective discovered an alien.
Woohoo finally some new videos!(For woohoo I didn't mean the Sims Woohoo)
To add to the sad sim in the shower, I’ve noticed that they also struggle to get out of bed when they’re sad.
So the last time i watched onlyabidoang was 2 years ago
Now it finally gets into my recommendation and i notice your pronounciation is noticeably improved
Thank you so much! Glad you decided to stick around :D
Never thought this video would come! A pleasant surprise!
1:15 tbh they need more walking styles.
Justice done!
I love all this details in the sims 4!
3:23 yeah I remember playing sims 4 the other day and seeing this and being like "wow, I never noticed how realistic the sims could be" it was really cool
Fun fact or Easter egg. Number 30: the misterious channel actually shows an alien version of „Married with Children” - a popular 90’s tv show
Genuinely, thank you for this video. As a hardcore player since 1 & 2 (including MySims and all the variations), Sims 4 is one of my favourites that I keep coming back to.
I have almost a 1000 hours in Sims 4 and haven't noticed all of these. Excited to make some of them happen next time I play.
I think the things that infants/toddlers can do is really adorable! Even their little dances! (Also I forgot how much I love your videos, especially for the sims! Keep up the awesome work Abi! ^^ I was also inspired to start playing the sims 4 again thanks to you :>)
"cats can jump on objects"
Me:cool! We can make the very first the sims 4 cat parkour
i love the little text interactions in the background like the cat asking if he can learn to use the potty, they're entertaining :')
