Happened to me as well.. my sim had lived 20 days overtime, and I wanted him to die. Used “testing cheats enabled true” and killed him. Then the stupid cat comes and saves the stupid old man..
Ah yes, the fruit thing is very handy. Also don't forget that watching the kid's chanel and listening to kid music highly increases the chance of twins and triplets! (I don't know if the game tells you this but here you go anyway)
In Sims4 it's strawberrys and pop music for girls and carrots (I believe) and alternative music for boys. I'm wondering, if there is something for twins, as well.
Also if you want your Sim to have twins/triplets (this has worked for me in the past)... Boy/Girl: 3 Apples and 3 Watermelons Boy/Boy: 6 Apples Girl/Girl: 6 Watermelons 3 Boys: 9 Apples 3 Girls: 9 Watermelons 2 Boys 1 Girl: 6 Apples and 3 Watermelons 2 Girls 1 Boy: 6 Watermelons and 3 Apples Do not exceed the amount of fruit given to the Sim or else they will only have one child. Do not repeat anything, only do once.
Thats not all about the magic gnomes tho. They can also have Family. If you have two magical gnomes and place them close to each other eventually there will be a baby gnome who actually ages :)
They should have just made the sims 3 again with better graphics and the new build mode. Sims 3 build mode was so freaking annoying.They should just make a full game with few expansions.

A weird stuff just happened as I played Sims 3. I tried to get my female Sim pregnant with guy 1, and it didn't work. So I tried again with guy 2, and she got pregnant. But when the baby was born, it was guy 1's baby. Any explanation for this?
There isn't always a jingle after trying for baby but you can still end up with a pregnant sim. Chances are that your sim was pregnant even though there was no jingle
Hello from 2021! Well over 15 years into my Sims 3 obsession, and just learned about the "transfigure" today. Thanks dude, you rock! PS it only takes 3 apples or 3 watermelon to do the baby gender thing.

I´m about to buy the full collection of The Sims 3 after this video! Although i am addicted to 4, with almost a thousand hours of gameplay... But the open world and the great diversity of features of 3, made me want to play it!
So I used to load up my friend's saved games when they weren't around, and use the cheat codes to buy those mysterious gnomes and place dozens of them in some hidden room I design in a basement using the hidden room element so they can't see it during normal gameplay, then I save and shut down the game. The end result is that the next time they play their house will slowly get overrun by those gnomes.

Fun fact: If you add Grim to your family (testingcheats), use the mirror or wardrobe to save him, the sim got saved will have no head if you change his casual outfit. If you let him use the Virtual Reality goggle in this no head outfit, the goggle will stuck to his neck!
Once I was playing playing a really long game in The Sims 3 Pets and all of a sudden I saw what looked like a tiny dog in a gnome costume. I kept my eye on it, and at midnight it disappeared. I found it later in the daughter's room and finally realised it was a magic gnome.

If you have the Sims 3 University Life, and you want to know if a sim is pregnant, shortly after they WooHoo, try to enroll in university. If they're pregnant, it will be greyed out and say "Sim is pregnant!"

The unlucky trait is really annoying when you're trying to kill that person and everytime you kill them the grim resurrects them... yeah I did this and got mad real fast.

But the sim's brother still kept mourning his "death" for quite a while... Concerning the "choose your baby's gender" trick, I only feed the mom one watermelon at all while she's pregnant and it's always a girl. And I heard that for a boy it's lime not apple and this also worked for me as well.
