Jason Mamoa as Dante is the absolute best villain in the entire Fast Saga. The man is like an androgynous version of The Joker, and I loved every second he was on screen.
It’s amazing how he could go from chaotically giddy to deadly serious on a dime and yet it works.
He got the physique of the Alphaest of male, but his demeanour is like Harley Quinn was trapped in his mind XD

Easily the best film since Furious 7. I think the lack of Paul Walker's presence is what made Dom uninteresting in 8 and 9. The Dom and Brian relationship is what defined this series for a long time.
The betrayal by agent Alan Ritchson was a good self aware misdirect, because as an audience member I also believe everyone will end up on Doms side. In FF universe you either die a villain or live long enough to become family.
So definitely die as a villain. Especially since Dom’s gonna need help.
Here comes Hobbs, Giselle and the Shaw brothers and sister.
In my opinion, Mr. Nobody is alive, they already did it with everyone who was dead, but it's a shame that Paul Walker is dead, in my opinion, in the next installments, he will return as Paul's brother or digitally

The first villain to use the tropes of these movies against the protagonist and the audience. It's self-aware, but so, so much better done than the "we have plot armor" conversation between Tyrese and Luda in F9.

I watched in theaters and loved every second of it! It’s so over the top, but it’s so good it doesn’t matter! When it got to the cliffhanger, i’m a bit upset cause now we have to wait ages for the 2nd part of the movie to come out 😭 i did not expect to get emotional so fast once i saw the pictures and scenes with Paul walker, fully knowing that’s his brother taking the wheel for that scene and with see you again instrumental in the background, that hit me hard! Jason Mamoa killed it with the anatagonist/villain role of the movie, the chaos and insanity his character brings is so entertaining and I hope he plays more of those roles in any other projects he takes on!
One of the better films of the franchise. Sure Plot is all over the place but it's fun and Momoa steals the show. Excited for Fast X Part II And hope to get Mr Nobody back.

My favorite part of this film was its opening 20 minutes. Had a lot of heart and made me pretty emotional in that scene with the music and the pictures of Brian.
It was good to see the memories again.

This is crazy on all accounts and I am here for it. Jason was GREAT in this. He truly was creepy as all hell
I don’t care what anyone says: I had an absolute BLAST with Fast X. Was it absurd? Did it have too many characters? Was the plot thin? Hell yes to all of it, and I had so much fun haha. Unlike Furious 7, I appreciated this movie really committing to the vengeance angle of the plot, without sidetracking. Granted, there are a lot of subplots, but there is still an understanding that despite being separated, the family has a singular goal. The movie really did remind me of “Infinity War”, the way they split the family up into pairs/groups, and had them all handle their own side missions while trying to evade Momoa’s Dante (the movie’s MVP for sure), and the other agency, all while attempting to meet up with each other. As with the MCU’s finale to the Infinity Saga, it’s as clear as day that they’re building up to uniting the family and all their allies from the different movies, for one final showdown with Dante or whoever, and I’m here for it. While the action was bonkers and had some eh CG, I appreciated that by and large the action was more “grounded” (ie., not taking down a submarine or going into space). This entry really felt more in line from the era of 5, 6, and 7. Having binged the movies before 10, I appreciated all the character and plot element callbacks to previous entries. I know not everyone is as invested in these movies the way ppl are with something like the MCU, but I appreciated the attention to detail and the general self-awareness. I’ve heard the criticism, but I just love how in on the “joke" the franchise is. Doesn’t necessarily excuse the excessiveness, but I can’t help but just marvel at its willingness to really be this action-telenovela. SO looking forward to the next flick. Sorry for the rant/review lol.

I saw the last IMAX show on Memorial Day 2023 and I'm pretty sure what to say myself about everything this installment has given to the masses.
Louis Leterrier (2 of The Transporter films, The Incredible Hulk 2008 reboot, Clash of The Titans 2010 reboot and Unleashed) did make something superb.
This was a major journey with Dom's Crew, newcomers and old faces.
Jason Momoa as Reyes' offspring plus villainy with mood swings took such a leap off the deep end and i liked it.
Action, stuntwork, drama, suspense, humor, just goes harder everytime.
The secrets and surprises of FX1 had me losing my mind.
Especially the major 2 unexpected returns to the saga.
FX part 2 is in another couple years plus some more planned goodness.
It's not really the last ride like they said and I'm cool with that.

I keep seeing people say that Jason Momoa’s Dante Reyes was a Joker character but honestly, he felt more like Harley Quinn or even a little like Arcane’s Jinx. Any way you slice it, he was one of the greatest additions to the movie besides the side quest of Lil’ Bri & Uncle Jakob. Kid racked up almost as many bodies as John Wick in the last chapter but he did it in the matter of minutes!

No one dies in these movies. The only characters that have died are Jesse F1. The Spanish girl F6. Everyone else that was showed to be dead has come back. I won’t be surprised if everyone that was showed dead in this movie all come back next movie.

Jason Momoa and what little we saw of John Cena are the highlights of this movie.
Jason could have easily played a beefed up TDKR Joker.
Hopefully he isn't killed off in Part 2, it was revealed that we might be getting an X trilogy, Triple X if you will, so hopefully he survives the entire thing up until the finale
When they showed Aimes standing next to Dante at the flashback reveal, all l thought was, "Hey, look. it's TV Aquaman teaming up with big screen Aquaman"

6.1 sounds pretty accurate for what the movie is. I mean if you take out the Jason Momoa scenes and just really focus on the story it's all over the place and there's a good amount of really boring scenes that just drag on.

I loved this movie! Mamoa completely stole the show and I actually really liked the ending. My only issue with this movie is that they made EVERY new character someone's family member. Also, I know people are mad about Gisele being back, but since I saw Fast 6, I was always annoyed she died. She fell off a car that wasn't even off the ground. I'm honestly glad she's back, even tho they need to kill more people off

I wonder what the internet thinks of Brie now that she agreed to be carried like a Damsel by Vin Diesel in that scene? Also, I didn't mind John Cena's change coz I think the idea was that after his older brother accepts him again, he let go of all the toughness he hid himself in and just became his real self, especially with his nephew.
