@@TheManInBlueFlames Just my 2 cents. If a dude comes in with an app, you can't say "I won't invest because I've already invested in another app". It makes no sense. But in this market it does, as they are all similar (a product for your skin) and you can't differentiate them that well. In the end, in this industry it all comes down to branding, thus becoming more conflictual.
But it's possible to copy and paste the source code of many apps and computer games and just change the aesthetic or other features can you not? coconut oil in a nice tub..
just go to the local store and pick up some coconut oil for 20p
Tuker felt left out, whilst all the other dragons already were in the same market in other deals.
Everyone talks about jenny saying I'm out but Sarah is a tough dragon to get investment from as well...
There’s a difference. Sarah declines businesses that she can’t help or she thinks won’t be successful. Jenny’s already out as soon as they walk in the room.
But she's really cute.
@@Governor2310 I didn't say they were bowing out for the same reason, just that both are tough to get investment from. You make a fair point though. I just feel like the one thing both have in common is that they aren't willing to take a gamble and it makes them boring dragons at times....obviously jenny is worse
Sarah doesnt really have money. 12 million worth aint that much

I’m unfortunately conflicted, I’m a 30% share holder of John Deere tractors and we are about to branch out into baby skincare……
I went years without watching Dragons Den. All of a sudden I'm on a 3 week long binge of watching as many dragons den videos as possible. Help
Go with it.... resistance is futile ;+)
You need help
Welcome to the club! We eat lunch and make Jenny jokes.
We Indians have been applying coconut oil directly on the body since childhood. Don’t know why it needs to be on the form of a cream.
i think touker's first and foremost motivation was to compete with the rest of the dragons similar investments outside the show
I love how everyone realize, as they’re talking, ‘I’m also conflicted’. They really did drop like flies.
Question: When's the last time you saw a fly "drop"? When's the last time ANYone saw a fly drop? I really want to know.
@@SteveFrenchWoodNStuff When I smacked one with an electric swat
I feel Peter's grilling was a bit off, until all were "conflicted" and Peter suddenly remembered he was also conflicted. They all realize they can repackage 1 pound coconut oil and label it whatever and make good buck and dont need these dummies. It's only touker that didnt realize this

Debra practising her Beethoven's 'Moonlight Sonata'... No lie!
I wonder why she always does that with her fingers?
It’s like those brands that repackage Shea butter at high prices when in facts it’s the same grade of other less fancy packaged ones .
Shea butter is more appealing than coconut oil especially on baby skin imo. But I want to try their coconut oil for sure for my eczema skin
When 4 out of 5 dragons can't invest due to conflicts of interest, it really makes you realize how flooded this market is.
But then that makes you think how many other types of products are like this...why is this the only time when 4/5 dragons had a conflict of interest? There are other markets that are more flooded than this...
Think of all the pay to play games and the Clash of Clans clones on mobile. But what if it ends up being identical with barely any changes, can you not be sued for that?
A lot of food products are the same with the packaging side of thing so I dont see why if there was a great conflict of interest on this product why there wouldn't for the vast amounts of food products that we have seen enter the den in the last few years.
I love how Sarah was looking and conveying "take it"
The guy pitching was great in the Shawshank redemption . . . .
It would be good to have a 'behind the scenes' episode about how the legalities are sorted out after the show finishes...
This is just basic coconut oil, and therefor terribly overpriced: a 70 gram container of coconut oil costs 5,50 on their webshop. At Holland&Barret I can buy a 400 gram container for 4,95.
A good example of branding adding value.
@@free_gold4467 I'm all for that but this is way too big of a difference. I would feel ripped off. But I guess the consumer agrees as they're not selling that many.
@@FLRSKLVR I agree but it's a different market where the price seems reasonable. I suppose you are a very informed consumer and stand outside the stats that make businesses successful, maybe I think I do too.
Its december 2021 and holly willouby still not launched that baby creams range Pete mentioned.... think was easy out for most of them
Jenny: does this offer cost me money. Pitchers: No
Jenny: I’m sorry I can’t take you seriously, for that reason I’m out.
Poor
This is unfair on the entrepreneurs. They shouldn't have been invited in if everyone is going to declare themselves purely on a confliction basis (nothing to do with the entrepreneurs lack of skill).
But then the dragons would know what kind of products are coming in. There’s nothing stopping people researching the dragons and seeing what they’ve invested in and what they own..
@@darrenohairtneide1494 I think the producers should have had other dragons present
I don't find it unfair at all, they got an offer and took it lol

Could it be? I’m starting to really respect Touker. Lovely deal. Very fair. The order dragon was greedy. I would have asked for 40% she said. Very greedy woman
I love it when entrepreneurs arrive, ask for good money, claim it's for their children, who presumably won't run the business due to age, and expect investment...!
Fun fact: "Natural" and "organic" aren't necessarily things you want to go for, in your skinproducts, as they are very ill defined words, in the skincare industry. Allergies can still easily arise if you're prone to them, or even provoke them, if you aren't. If you really want to be on the safe side, go by cosmetic labellings, instead.
Yep. I bought one all natural moisturizer. I got a really bad allergic reaction from it. My face was burning & all read.
I use this product on my 5 month old daughter, it works great.

Touks actually made a good offer there and looked genuine about it.
Genuinely felt happy for them getting that offer. There’s clearly something there, or they wouldn’t of got into Boots. 75% of something huge is better than a 100% of something small
This reminds me so much of a 'Look Around You' episode.
Jenny: "I am conflicted because I have coconut milk at home, and for that reason, I'm out".

Would you like to try the product?
Peter thinking to himself..:" shit,I dont have a baby on me to try this on..."
Jenny would say something like: “I love the product, I love both of you, it’s a really attractive proposition and I’m not conflicted. However, I have my Dragons Den reputation to defend; so for that reason, I’m out”
And how come T.S. didn’t offer them office space?! 😂
It’s become very cliched on Dragons’ Den with Jenny and Touker🤣
Lauren has such a soothing voice! She could talk all day!🤗🤗🤗
I love Touker. I think he's under rated sometimes.
So nice of everyone to pause so the narrator has time to let us know what’s going on !
At least the people told the truth and were respectful about the people leaving
Pieter still thinking about the awesome coconut ice cream, goes straight for a spoon and starts eating the coconut oil.
Oh my. The dragons are literally their competition in business.. x)

After the den Touker invested the money and is now both a shareholder and director of Kokoso Skin Ltd.

Coconut oil's globules are too large to be absorbed by the skin, so is totally ineffective for moisturising, although it's good for skin protection.
Globules. Sorry I just wanted to say that word.
Jenny: My husband brought some coconut oil for cooking a few months ago, and for that reason I'm conflicted. I'm out.
