The bicycle one sounded interesting. Until he mentioned the price of the cycle itself. As a consumer I can say that he is insane for thinking anyone would spend that much on a bike that you still have to pedal. I'd pay that much for an electric bike MAYBE. If the battery life was long and took you far enough on a charge and such. But wow.. insane.
I thought his idea was ridiculous but high quality bikes are very expensive, spending $10k+ is pretty normal. I just spent $6,000 on an ok mountain bike and am not even that good.
What he's done there is mechanically sound. He's basically extended the pedals to use leverage and some gearing to multiply the rider's effort. Fine. But his financial claims are outlandish in the extreme.
The fish lure was an interesting product, but the guy behind it really messed his pitch up… I’m a woman who enjoys fishing, and I’ve never heard about any of what that guy said regarding “fishing social norms”. 😓 Fishing in general is a solo/two-person thing, so I know most people (usually guys but women too) who like it aren’t the best with people.

Most ppl I know get their lashes, nails & pedicures done at the same time. Plus only a 25,000/yr profit for the entire franchise. My son just finished high-school & makes more than that.

The linear pedal motion is honestly not a bad concept, but I see all of those extra components, and I just think about mud and rain... That's without even getting to the insane valuation and promises of astronomical returns that scream "Ponzi scheme."

They loved the idea. The game ender was that he wanted to run it in California and Australia and didn't know much about how to run franchises. The numbers didn't add up either

I think most of the Sharks were kind to these people regardless. I think they would of been much shrewder on the American version.
- acronym (n): a word formed from the initial letters or groups of letters of words in a set phrase or series of words and pronounced as a separate word
- acumen (n): keen insight; shrewdness
@@Quagthistle We know she mean Acumen, it's a rather simple slip that doesn't alter things to the point of being misunderstood.
@@tessajalloh3914 while I recognized what Candy was intending to say, I don't think @Quagthistle was wrong for responding as they did. No rude comments were given, some people may not have made that connection, and on the off chance that Candy didn't know the difference, she might have learned.
@@tessajalloh3914 I'm very pro- linguistic nonjudgmentalism, so generally I'm opposed to corrective comments since language norms are mostly just classism-as-syntax-rules ... So usually I'd be with you on this one, and you definitely made your criticism more politely than I've ever done anything in my life lol. But I think, in this instance, it was a constructive choice (for the other commenter to offer a correction on OP's-word-choice-or-their-autocorrect's-word-choice,-whichever-it-was) because the words are quite significantly dissimilar and one of them is fairly obscure. It seems IMO like a good addition to the thread to help clarify it for any people reading who are learning English or otherwise don't know the term "acumen"/at least haven't seen it written.
@@ItsAsparageese That's quite fair and well thought out. I hadn't really considered the non english speaking audience, and i should have. I retract my opposition, but i'll leave it there to preserve the thread.
For saying something is 100% efficient I'd get thrown out of my masters program in the field of mechanical engineering :D
how about the guy saying that the fish swimming compresses the water? XD
@@waynedas873 there was an ancient conundrum about how can fish swim through water if it's incompressable. Solved ages ago when we grasped the concept of the dynamics of fluids. The displacement is simultaneous (like multiple ball bearings).
No idea what he meant though... I honestly am at a loss for words
Yeah haha when he said that I was just like “uhm I’m pretty sure that’s not possible bud..”
@chris brady do I smell some jealousy? 👃
Somewhere in the fine print he calls it a bike/heater to get his efficiency🤣
He does know that there are TONS of hair dryer/straighteners/ brushes out there on the market from cheap to very expensive. He doesn’t know what he’s doing lol
well he claims to be a celebrity hairstyler and that would sell it
Also him saying he spent that much on patents, something was majorly off.
I literally got an ad on this video for a practically identical product
300$ for something similar, already existing at a FRACTION of the price lmao
They have been around since the early 2000s
The Mickeyblu guy was honestly cool. Seems to know what he’s doing, has a functioning + useful product. I’m happy he’s doing well for himself (according to the numbers he shared).
I hope he did get those contacts too. Even a few of them from the shark in the blue suit.

“let us lash you” 😀
Steve : 👁👄👁
Dude is so confident in his hair straightener with a fan that he spent almost a million dollars 🤣
never came out either.
@@thekornreeper there are a dozen like product of it online for sale, amazon has then for like 40 bucks..
I learned something from that "russian accent" guy: You produce something, then sell it for the amount it costs you, ... and in a year you have 5 billion US Dollars. WOW
It works when you buy some of your product from money that you got somewhere and the supply remains natural
Look up his business troppo bicycle. He's a billionaire now. The sharks aren't the best businesspeople, they are human and everyone makes mistakes. Not investing in this bike invention was a huge mistake.
@@Dylan-ge6dn I can't tell if you're being serious or not, but if you are, I believe you're referring to Mike Sinyard who founded specialized bikes. An article about him is one of the first results when you search for Troppo bike. Richard Ploszaj is the "inventor" of the pump action Troppo bike, which as far as I can tell hasn't done anything beyond appearing on shark tank. His website for the bike isn't even live anymore.
"Risk free" means that there's no risk because you know 100% you're gonna get screwed over
@@Dylan-ge6dn I’m not so sure - a quick google search shows the troppo pump action bike has not sold nearly enough units for it to be a mistake for the sharks.
They’re not even selling it on the Specialized website’s store anymore.
Any idea where I can get the info on how many units have sold worldwide?
Lash U Lashes is doing great!!
He's got 2 stores in the USA, constant constant training in Australia & multiple well reviewed products sold across the board.
The sharks telling him he's the problem & his business model sucks was waaay off.
Good on him!
Did you know theres 12% of woman fisherman looking for the edge?
He said 6% right before that lmao
People who don’t fish often may not know this, but the fact is that fisherwomen are, unfortunately, at a major disadvantage to fishermen, due to their natural lack of fishing knowledge, obviously, but also their lack of skill.
Because of this huge, unfair disadvantage, female fisherpeople have always dreamed of finding themselves an edge, in hopes that someday the playing field may be leveled, once and for all, and, finally, they may have the ability to compete with the men, who are superior to them in talent and intelligence.
I don’t know if this is the right product to give them that edge or not, but I truly hope that they will soon find whatever it is that they need, because women deserve a fair opportunity, and equality and stuff.
@@chriswebster24 lol great comment
Thats a great question
The more you know ✨✨
Sharks: "Im Out"
Brent: "Thats a Great decision"
I can’t believe how many guys talk down to these powerful women. I love how the women respond too! They smile, show how much smarter they are and keep it moving ;)
They won’t swing over it though
When were these so called "powerful women" talked down to, Mr. White Knight?
@@AgentK83 im still trying to understand what you could be trying to say here
@@creepypastacraft
They will act offended and talk and bitch but won’t try to fight him over it because they know they’ll lose
The only reason they talk that way is because they can’t get hit, otherwise they’d have their skull sinuses collapsed
@@AgentK83 what the fuck is wrong with you? Why do they have to beat the shit out of someone? This is real jon koppenhaver shit(look him up) like okay they dont have physical power but they could probably ruin his life with their monetary power and connections, but thats even assuming they would care to think to do something like that, which they probably wouldnt, theyd probably just brush it off like a normal person.
Sharks ask a specific question to Brent, Brents answer "that's a great question" totally avoids the questions every time
Was waiting for one to say “Mel B is a friend of mine, let me give her a ring” and watch it all fall apart 😂
