  • Demon Slayer has a huge problem right now called Demons. It's not that they're broken or overpowered, it's that zoning in this game is extremely annoying and boring to counter. This has made characters like Susamaru, Yahaba and Enmu banned in some regions, and it's slowly killing the game competitively.

      i have a idea to nerf projectiles they become slower but also if you parry them it teleports you behind them but this also comes with a buff in damage.

      But the same could be said about any game that comes with a roster of fighters who all beat each other up in any story.

    Maybe they should add a side dash that dashes towards an enemy left or right depending on which direction you're tilting the stick

      @@rickyric7039 Wouldn't there still be end lag after the side dash is performed just like when you do air dodge/dash? The new patch wanted to penalize mobility because ppl abused it just like with everything else that makes this game gimmicky.

    I feel like this is kinda canonical to the show since the demons always have some sort of cheap tactic or advantages. Except the slayers usually win these battles

    The community of this game is 50/50 to me. Besides all the ragequitters one guy blocked me because I was playing too good on custom matches, his exact words: ‘Go play on ranked, I just want to try stuff out on custom and you’re here ruining the *fun* for me.’
    I understand / agree that some demons are broken, or have too much of a advantage above other characters. But we can’t have characters nerfed and/or a gamestyle patched because playing a certain playstyle isn’t ‘fun’ or ‘boring’ to others.. To balance stuff out I would suggest making dashes projectile proof. But other than that let every character be exactly as they are.
    (This is coming from a guy who strongly dislikes, Enmu & Susamaru.)😂

      If Dashes are projectile proof then what would be the point of using projects? That would completely ruin a character. You ever wonder why nobody use Tamari or Tenten in Storm? It's because they are literally unplayable due to having no type of pressure with there projectiles. And besides Demons already have no Assist and there demon gauge recovery is slower than the slayers. Knowing that all you have to do is wait till they use their demon skill, Dodge the attack,open them up,and start your combo. They gotta hold that damage my G.

    Still would’ve taken the demons being playable with other characters like everybody else is, that would help by not letting matches be so stale with one or two demons only

      Yes I wish they would change that.
      It's also so inconsistent.
      Nezuko needs a partner, Yahaba and Susamaru can only be played solo and Yushiro and Tamayo are one character combined. Like wtf?

      @@clips.ofmynolife It's not about consistency. You want consistency in a character select of a fighting game? Play a game called "Footsies". It's fun for a while, but you can only play 1 character and it has a very limited moveset (the most consistent fighting game I've ever seen). The fact that Nezuko is a demon with none of the demon exclusive mechanics, Yahaba and Susamaru play in a unique way, and Yushiro/Tamayo have that extra flavor that makes Yushiro feel like a demon/slayer mix makes the game interesting. I personally like all these variables and inconsistencies, because it feels like every match you are gonna see at least one interaction that you weren't expecting.

      I know Footsies but that's a 1vs1 fighter.
      My point is that Demon Slayer is inconsistent with its Tag mechanics.
      The special abilities for Demons just feel like worse assists imo.
      Also the fact that you can only play them solo makes all of them feel very samey because you can't mix up their play style with other characters.
      It just drags matches down for me.
      Besides gameplay mechanics, Yahaba and Susamaru as solo characters are especially annoying to me because they actually fought as a team in the Manga and Anime

    Oh boy this is problematic, I can see where they’re coming from since the slayers are all melee but at the same time variety is needed or else it gets boring. Nasty situation we’ve got here

      Exactly, one of the reasons I'm skeptical about this too. I just hope dash gets buffed so they can go through projectiles and not the demons getting nerfed.

      @@adamhussain1207 dash getting buffed to go through projectiles is a direct demon nerf to all of them minus akaza though. If you buff dashes you have to buff demon engage tools/counter engage tools along with it, make it encouraged to engage but don't punish zoning

    You can't expect to be taken seriously as a fighting game when offered a disclaimer "It's not that it's broken.... it's extremely boring", it's contradictory but more so if it's not broken then there shouldn't be anything to be banned. The concept of "fun" is mute in any competitive environment where "fun" is almost a synonym to winning. Equating "boring" to a lame playstyle, a valid way to compete and contributing the attribute to also not broken at the same time but limiting a competitive aspect of playing the game alienates players that not only enjoy the strategy in competitive play but then lean the game towards a mentality that now everyone is expected to operate on a similar spectrum of strategy. The dynamics of approaching matchups differently entirely one to one on the character select screen or even part of the archetypes is a fundamental part of the game and cannot be eliminated because of a degree of "fun", at that point the game by the adjective used becomes a casual orientated scene/game. Example for things that weren't broken but extremely oppressive or 'un-fun' but were allowed in competitive play, UMVC3 Morgan loops, DF1 archetypes in tekken, Dhalsim in any iteration of street fighter where he is decent/good.

      I think a request for someway to not make their zoning so oppressive would be very beneficial, best case scenario it would deepen the playing field, but I absolutely agree it isn't ban worthy at all

    Imma keep it real, we gotta get over this. If we wanna be taken seriously as a fighting game we can't say scrub shit like "We have to ban these characters cause the zoning is good" if Smash Bros, a game where camping is very doable and even rewarded, can be perfectly fine in the comp space, so can Demon Slayer live with the projectiles. THAT SAID, we can definitely ask for a couple nerfs on some projectiles if we want to do that

    Even when Endeavor showed up back then on MHOJ, we were still hyped up to see how the match would go. I don't actually fully understand how or why come the same archetype gets to be banned just on competitive Demon Slayer, the way a zoner plays is awfully "lame" and it's no different in any other fighting game. I surely have no fun playing against a annoying character, but the reward just becomes greater by the end and I guess that's why there's competitive playing to begin with: so you can overcome your opponent with all that you have.

      Exactly, that's a double standard. Why not banning any playstyle in MHOJ but banning them in Demon Slayer (especially since MHOJ is much more unbalanced)? People who enter the game to be competitive need to know how to deal with every playstyle, because the reward is so much better in the long run.

      Also banning zoners takes away playstyles some players like. That's why demons are such a good addition as they added new ways to play. I do agree with a patch to adjust them but those who ban them are really going overboard

    Wait, can’t Inosuke’s Boar Rush armor skill dash through projectiles? Maybe that can be a good enough counter
    But problem is, it spends a bar while most demons who are zoners don’t really have to spend a skill bar

    It's amazing how people who wanted demons are now saying that they shouldn't have been put in the game. If demons weren't in this game, I guarantee you no on would play it. It's called Demon Slayer. The game should involve Demons AND Demon Slayers

    IMO they should have added some sort of ground movement option after nerfing air dash. Chase dash is fine but it is also linear. Maybe speeding up everyone's walk speed or something to help compensate. If not that.... why not let parries reflect projectiles? Not only would it help fix the huge zoning issue but it would also do it in a way that is more skill intensive.

    I think two weeks back when I actually started playing this game online for the first time, I got into a match with Yahaba and it was lagging as well. I had Hinakomi Tanjiro and Nezko with me. I had no idea how Yahaba played and couldn’t do anything with Tanjiro for the first two rounds and got beat up badly. Then on the third round I tagged in Nezuko and boy did the tables turned. I learned his patters and knew how he played so I hopped around and got closer to him as much as I could and hit him with Nezuko's flying hammer kick that covers up a good amount of area and it worked like a charm. Sometimes I did the same as called in my assist and then did the hammer kick. I won the next three matches with Nezuko easily lol. Greatest comeback I've ever made and I'm sure the guy must have gone in depression after that kinda defeat. xD

    The problem is demons are being given to much range and neutral, if they stop doing stuff like that it won’t be horrible to fight against them. The problem with their range also is that all zoners(except yahaba) can easily keep themselves safe with their specials and makes it so little fun and just a overall bad experience.

      Yeah If enmu and susamaru had just as bad tracking as Yahaba and also Big punish Windows they would be easier. Yahaba has a 1.5 second Endlag after using boulders which cost meter and most of the time When he has fired one thing the others Will not change to match the opponent. I Think Yahaba is balanced due to only having 2 ways that he Can deal dmg without using bars

    Imagine a character being banned, not because they're over tuned or because they break the game in one way or another, but because they are "boring". And Arena Fighter players wonder why a lot of people in the FGC won't take them seriously...

      @@joyroad1630 You’re clearly unable to problem solve. This video doesn’t even describe Enmu as being impossible to fight. In addition, foreign tier lists that ban these characters don’t put Enmu at number 1 on the tier list. If Enmu were the problem character, he’d be the subject of this video. I’ve been playing Demon Slayer since launch, and I can say that while annoying, zoning is a valid play style, and that arena fighter players are worse than smash fans when it come to complaining.
      It’s not impossible to beat zoning, it’s just perceived as less fun, like in literally every game ever

    I'm never one to say "Ban a character because they're boring to watch" or "Because they're a zoner". Those two being mixed is just unfortunate. The thing for me is that this is the first Arena Fighter game that feels like it was MADE for competitive. Much smaller cast, uniqueness between characters... But the thing is, is that the base game and how it was fundamentally made feels like it WASN'T MADE for zoners. They feel strong because there is no inherent way to get around them when the rest of the cast is made for a neutral or up-close gameplay. The zoners can't even be nerfed heavily because it would kill them off if their one-trick doesn't work.

    To the FGC, there's no such thing as a balanced zoner.
    They're either " Too strong" or "Too weak"
    Frieza in dbfz sucks, and everyone is asking for more buffs, Cetrion is absolutely hated by the MK scene, so was Morrigan, lol
    If they do nerf the zoners, they might end up with a Deadshot injustice post patch case or at worst, a Frieza

    As a Susa player i think she is perfect for her playstyle. Her buffs were great and her combos really only start from guard skill and tilt skill. Without her those two move shes not doing anything crazy to you and would be horrible. A zoning susa isnt playing her the right way. As susa you still have to take SOME risk to maximize your combos and play optimally. Now maybe some more end lag on her lights could help but i think shes a fair character. Banning her and demons is a pretty lame way to fix an issue. Until demons are uber broken like brawl meta knight or leroy tekken, then people should be allowed to play them. A slight nerf on how projectiles work would be nice but the only one that i feel tracks that well is yahaba. Still havent even run into that many demon players unless it akaza anyway.

    I would like to have a talk with you one day Globku. I actually can have an aggressive fighting style with yahaba and i played many people the funny thing is people run from me more than i run from them tbh. I can cancel out of that air light to dodge the ultimate. Also my chaser arrows allows me to chase people lol but if u ever want to see let me know. I play according to my opponent. Im not gonna dash a tcf, heel bash, blazing universe and water wheel neutral that is insane.     I genuinely like this video because I hold a similar approach. They aren't broken/unbeatable, just boring to commentate/play against. It's just playing a lame game that many of us don't want to play. What I found even more entertaining was that you think Yahaba isn't one of the best in the game. I 100% agree w/ that and it feels like we're one of the few outliers in the community regarding that.

    I really hope this doesn't mean demons will get nerfed across the board. Akaza is pretty good now and many demons already lack that assist fact. I hope Susamaru doesn't get nerfed because she's actually a really fun character. If she does get nerfed I hope it's just in the form of dash getting a buff in that it can go through projectiles. I feel like that could suffice. I haven't played Yahaba so I don't have anything to say on that matter. I hope this doesn't mean they make Susamaru the worst character in the game.

    Interesting thought, I came from the Xenoverse Community and in Xenoverse 2 no character can truly zone affectively (although other achetypes in xenoverse aside from rushdown is hard to find) but the lack of zoners make that game an absolute rushdown fest. Fu is an example of a setplay character that basically shut down alot of rushes and the community mostly called this character cheap and broken, but the problem wasn't the character but the community not knowing how to fight the character and it's lead to he's moves being nerfed for no reason. Now not saying thats the case here, but it is something to think about.

    A couple things… 1.) add more movement. 2.) add more characters to change meta and gameplay, can’t be a problem with characters being boring to play if there are more characters. 3.) change the way the zoning works, chakra/superdash makes perfect sense

    I may be biased since I'm a pure spectator but I actually find Susumaru interesting to watch in tournaments., especially when mika plays her. A lot of stuff mentioned (and that I've watched) just seems like normal counterplay. But I dunno.
    That being said, as a proud gnt4 itachi hater, it's understandable how people would find the
    zoning annoying. Maybe the solution would be for the homing dash to go through normal attack projectiles while still getting hit by metered ones like tilt skills and such. Either way, a ban from the community seems like jumping the gun. A lot of the time you just play it out and things change over time.

    I don't agree that just because some people personally find Zoning boring a character should be banned. It is the same in every game with zoners not just demon slayer. Yes zoners aren't fun to play against for most people but I definitely enjoy watching some matches with Zoners in some games cause if anything it DOES make the game play different which is the opposite of boring. What's boring is limiting playstyles because of having a very low level mindset and cause you can't beat it. I'd rather see some Zoning than 100% rushdown characters all the time.

    To be fair, all of the demon's we have playable (except akaza and yushiro) use zoning in the anime, the fights are built around approaching a demon that wants to keep the demon slayers away from them. you don't see tanjiro start moaning and complaining that rui is using too many projectiles and asking muzan to nerf him. I think that a patch that allows supers and bursted normal attacks (the attacks that have special effects like water/fire on the blade) to cancel a projectile the same way that projectiles cancel each other out would be completely lore accurate and extremely fun to play as a slayer against demons.

      @@kosilver77 I won't lie, I like using the demons especially susamaru and yahaba but I have a lot of fun using hinokami and will be maining tengen when he comes out. But if a normal dash passes through a demon's auto attacks then that makes demons have to use a skill bar to escape from being punished for attacking, if that's the case then it would make no one use demons and then the game would loose a lot of diversity in online matches. I saw a comment below that said that and input left or right would make you dash toward the opponent curving in that direction would be best and I agree that would be the best way to do it

    Once I was playing as hinokami tanjiro w/ rengoku against a rui and he never came close to me, he stayed on the other side of the map. When I came to him he ran away everytime and due to his long ranged attacks obviously he did way more damage, but I did win one entire match I think, he won the other 2.

    Im a competitive GG player and recently got into demon slayer. I immediately realised how broken all the demons are in the game, i even asked Dechoo (one of the best Korean players) on his stream how to beat them, he said just pick a demon lol that and they're banned in comp. As it stands there is no counterplay or mechanic that works on demons so they should be banned until a patch. Zenitsu is very overtuned aswell, along with Nezuko assist. Other than that the game is super fun we just need a lobby system with league and tournament too; can you do a vid on that

    Most of y'all in the comments don't seem to understand the problem.
    The problem with demons isn't that they're boring to fight against. The problem is that the game is terribly unbalanced in favor of demons. It's not a problem of "change your play style" when high level zoners cannot be punished.
    Most of the slayers are at a natural disadvantage because of they have nothing in the moveset to compensate for long distance attack. So if you're fighting high level players just getting close to demons requires a ton of effort and in most cases requires you to spend your assists. If you have to spend assists just to have a chance at getting a hit, then the game is unbalanced and the zoner needs to be nerfed. End of story.
    That added with the fact the fact demons can recover health puts slayers at a huge disadvantage.

      @@fayble550 Yeah demons don't have assists but they can escape a combo, which is one of the two functions an assist is for. They can also
      ~ recover health multiple times per match
      ~ fire projectiles with very little risk or meter
      ~ do high damage specials from a long distance.
      All of these are things slayers can't do. You can argue if you want, but most high level players agree that slayers are at a huge disadvantage compared to demons.
      Go into an online ranked match with 4 and 5 star players and you will see that most people are using demons. Why? Because they know that slayers are disadvantaged and the risk to reward ratio in closing the gap is too high.
      This isn't an opinion it is a fact.

    Personally I use susamaru. But i don't stay long distance and zone. I always rush up towards people because they dont expect a zoner to be rushing you. And I usually keep as much pressure as possible when doing this to force someone to mess up.

      Me too except i do it with Yahaba… Well i can basicly get a free grab or interupt combos simply by putting his Guard skill Down. Either they Block the arrows and get hit by the grab or they hit me and get hit by arrows. Its free real estate

    I think we have different definitions of “boring” I think it’s fun and realistic to have to dodge the projectiles. Don’t get me wrong, I think Yahaba sucks too, but dodging his arrows and closing the distance is exactly the challenge Tanjiro had in the show. Same goes for Susamaru.

    Ngl,I kinda like how Demons are tho. Demons should feel op. Really gives you a conical battle when facing them. Even if it seems boring. And playing differently is apart of completive play, if everyone played the same then the game would be boring because nothing is challenging both player and opponent.

    The issue in general with "zoning" is that,there seem to be no draw backs. With slow projectiles or not,the characters with these techniques still have decent damaging combos.

      It's not that simple to be brutally honest. Just simply think of how Yanhaba is as a character and see 4:06 Dashing through his already weak projectiles would hurt this character the most.
      It's really not that simple to add a projectile beating dash.

      I think the “you should be able to dash through projectile” solution is comepletely ignoring the idea of a zoner. They are to force you into a situation where you feel oppressed from afar. Say you can dash through projectiles, congrats you were rewarded for pressing one button and you win every time cause they can’t do much since most of their options are cut. Remember fighterz Frieza and why he is so bad. I know people think it’s as easy as doing the same thing but you constantly need to be aware of your opponents options at certain ranges and how to do with a interaction when it come then react with it.

      Like what you said 1 dash they get rewarded They would have to actually be look into the game and see that simple dash would do to characters.
      Again case and Point Yanhaba would be ruined if he is not revamped if they add that dash in the game.

    The game does reward a super defensive playstyle, even for slayers, and that's a problem, but banning the characters is silly. I also appreciate the fact that you have to adapt to the demons and not just use the same strat that you use for everybody and get away with it, makes them more unique, as it should.

    I just feel like for this specific problem, it could be mil different ways to solve it, from new moves to nerfs. But, looking forward, a change I will suggest is to stop releasing range based demons. "Demon" shouldnt automatically mean zoner, but the last ones are, almost all, zoners. I'd start releasing demons with a playstyle that doesnt compromise the game systems as badly as zoning or think about zoners in a different way. That way the problem doesnt increase and we can keep the game fun for the future releases.

      Good point, but then you should ask yourself what kind of advantage demons should get since they have no assists to approach safely.
      Making them into zoners is the obvious choice, since slayers have no ranged attacks, so the demon's edge is advantage in neutral.
      And that's the issue with Akaza: he's just a slayer without assists and that's why he's always been weaker than the other demons

The past 4 demons are legit all zoners. If they weren't, I don't think the community would be griping SO much. To fix this, I agree that dashing should cancel out low priority projectiles and then all will be good

    I remember fighting those three demons the zoners and i didnt know how to handle it. So i rushed them and got hit by one of their projectiles and got combo’d by it, I found it so annoying and it made me just purely upset with the game and annoyed by it. I feel some of the zoners need a dmg nerf or something to make the game not so boring by having to wait for an assist just to get some damage in.

    GLOBKU THANK YOU FOR FINALLY MAKING THIS VIDEO. Ever since Enmu got released I have been fighting Enmu, Susamaru and Yahaba on repeat nonstop. I barely very RARELY fight any Slayers in the high ranks now. Everytime I get on the game I never have competitive fights with parrying and all that skillful play anymore, now it's just getting on the game to just run around breaking my fingers dodging the whole entire game.
    The reason why Demons is so OP right now is because the amount of effort is VERY different between a Slayer and a Demon player. Nobody is saying zoning is purely toxic. In Naruto and other games zoning is more fair because zoners had to have a great level of skill since they can get countered like everyone universally. But in this game, if your a Slayer trying to get close, the amount of effort the Slayer has to put is INSANE. Constantly breaking my fingers dodging the WHOLE GAME while Demons can just keep spamming auto attacks from a distance without having to use any resources with not the same level of care as the other player. Alot of people dont understand that not everyone is "honorable", remember how toxic water Tanjiro used to be? Demons are WAYYY easier for a toxic person to decide to use. Toxic Demon players (which is literally most) literally just 1. Throw projectiles, 2. be above the hitbox of most characters hit range when they spam in air, 3. when their health gets lowered they regen their health then play time and win games. I literally had this happen to me about 10 damn times in a row, it was the most frustrating feeling in this game ever. I have literally been on the verge of quitting because of this but this video gives me hope. If you cant see how goddamn overpowered this cheese is then your a lost cause.
    I'm telling yall zoners, try to play a Slayer for a week against zoners in the high ranks. You are going to have the worst time of your Demon Slayer life. Zoners have fun spamming the whole game at safe distance with far less minimal effort and your going to be breaking your fingers just trying to get close, once u make 1 little mistake you lose over half your health and once u finally get some hits on them they regen their health and spam in the corner until time runs out 😑😑😑😑😑😑. How you can anyone defend this is beyond me, they definitely require a nerf.
    Having Slayers be able to run through auto attacks would be SO BALANCED. In Naruto for example zoners had to use their zoning smart and skillfully since auto basic attacks wont stop people but in this game Demons can literally continously spam without wasting any resources! If their gonna use weak low effort attack moves that dont use any resources then we should be able to charge through that! Such as Susamaru's ball basic attacks and Yahaba's arrows (I honestly dont think Enmu's projectiles are a problem), everything else that uses meter like his rocks or her ball skill attacks should be able to stop dashs exactly like in Naruto! This would literally make it an even playing field. Alot of zoners dont want this because they know they'll have to play with skill like the rest of us if this is implemented which is crazy because this is literally the perfect idea. Storm had this right. Imagine if Deidara auto basic attacks could stop dashes, he would literally be Invincible, that's exactly what's happening now with Demons.

      I am in a total agreement. Players who play in high ranks (4 star+) would understand. Some of these comments out here and even from Globku, the ways you could counter the zoning demons are just total nonsense. You are playing against people with similar ranks, which means similar understanding of the game mechanic. Sure if you are playing against demons who doesn't understand how the game works, there are ways to counter it, but if you are playing at a higher rank where they understand the game mechanics, they are going to abuse the shit out it. The reason why the demons are a problem is, if these broken mechanics are abused, there is absolutely no way you can counter that unless you are far more superior player then they are. Which is impossible in high rank because you can only be so much better than a player when you are equally high rank.

When I play against a same level demon I literally lose 9/10 games but when I play Demon Slayers I typically win about 7/10 games, the comparison is so day and night. I should have also mentioned that I'm number 1 ranked in NA rn so im not just a scrub saying this. I have played all kinds of competitions but playing against those demons just ain't competitive, it's pure cheese. Toxic players very easily manipulate their moveset and since they have no direct counter and your skill level, it's almost an impossible match to win. Those counters are nowhere near easy to execute against high top 10 level Demons. My assist always gets hit by projectiles and once they get close they miss because the Demon is so high in the air outside most characters hitbox range 😑. And it takes sooo long for assist to come back. Having assist be the only counter is such a garbage counter because it doesnt always work and you have to dodge your ass off for the next 15secs before they return and those 15secs feel like an absolute lifetime.
      Also if you look at the top 10 in NA leaderboard, you will see literally so many Susamaru, Yahaba and Enmu's emerging. They are the meta right now. About 8 of the Top10 people have been using them so much ever since their release but they are now finally showing on the leaderboards because as more time goes on, the percentage they keep using the Demon goes higher. I have seen this problem from the very very beginning when Sus and Yahaba was released but now its finally showing how everyone is maining and abusing the crap outta people with zoning Demons rn.
      Also, just as a disclaimer, I think Akaza and Rui are perfect. No changes for them, they strong but fairly really strong. Rui uses projectiles but it's not lightning speed as Susamaru's ball throws or spammy as Yahaba and Akaza players air types are perfect. Enmu I'm 50/50 on, his combos are insane but he has openings even though a skilled player will make you suffer, I honestly think he's good because his projectiles ain't all that. But on to Yah and Sus, those two are pure cheese. Yah spams so damn much and he's so high in the air barely anything reaches him and Sus can do that retreat side step attack to evade literally EVERYTHING. The fact that it can evade and attack both in one move is so crazy, any low skilled player can make higher skilled level Slayers suffer so much because of this move. This on top of everything else I mentioned in my previous comment, when a skilled especially Top10 player gets their hands on either of these two its practically god mode.

    A good nerf to demons like Susamaru and Yahaba would be that, normal projectiles could be ignored by using a Skill instead of only dashing through it

      Honestly, it would be absolutely stupid to apply that Nerf to Yahaba if you really wanna think about it.
      No hate to you but did you not think about what that could ACTUALLY DO to his character? Like no seriously did you?
      Think about it what can Yahaba really do if you can Dash through his main attacks that Do Zero Damage and only have hitstun? He has to commit to a lot of his actions every time. You letting the player dash through it hurts him so bad. Especially the fact you can dash cancel and block Or assist call like what Globku showed in the video.
      It's nuts with a nerf like that he would have to be an exception and can't be dashed on or he is given more freedom and can cancel each attack so he can be safe.
      There are Layers to how to approach him or how to try and balance him with the dumb Koran Mindset. Plus none of them are Broken all of them have layers of Counterplay. Heck tries and Lab against it and tries new ideas to further develop the meta in the game.
      Fighting games are about Problem-solving. Always asking for Nerfs doesn't help anyone. It hurts the games future potential if it's Broken like Truly then yes nerf it but none of these characters are Broken and Should be looked into more.

    What about player’s who enjoy this style of play and zoning. I believe theirs a huge stigma cast on zoning being a toxic play style or ( not fun). At the same time people praise characters that give you zero space and put you in coin flip situations , which in my opinion isn’t fun .At the end of the day different play styles will appeal to different people and just because it isn’t (fun) to play against for you personally doesn’t mean it’s overpowered or should be banned.

      The difference is how the amount of effort is VERY different between a Slayer and a Demon player and that by default is already unfair since it should be equal. Nobody is saying zoning is purely toxic. In Naruto and other games zoning is more fair because zoners had to have a great level of skill since they can get countered like everyone universally. But in this game, if your a Slayer trying to get close, the amount of effort I have to put is INSANE. Constantly breaking my fingers dodging the WHOLE GAME while Demons can just keep spamming auto attacks from a distance with not the same level of care as the other player. Demons literally just throw projectiles, be above the hitbox of most characters hit range when they spam in air, lower health, regen their health then play time and win games. If you cant see how goddamn boring and cheese that is then your a lost cause.
      I'm telling you, try to player a Slayer for a week against zoners. You are going to have the worst time of your Demon Slayer life. Zoners have fun spamming the whole game at safe distance with far less minimal effort and your going to be breaking your fingers just trying to get close, once u make 1 little mistake you lose over half your health and once u finally get some hits on them they regen their health and spam in the corner until time runs out 😑😑😑😑😑😑. How you can defend this is beyond me, they definitely require some type of nerf. Ever since Enmu came out I have literally been playing Yahaba, Susamaru and Enmu back to back to back to back. It's like everytime I get on this I have to be ready to just run around the whole game since barely anyone plays Slayers anymore.

      @@futuretrunks9257 If by "spam" you mean shooting projectiles then you automatically hurting your case. "Spamming" is doing something over and over with no care at all, regardless if it's a long ranged move or a short-ranged one, true Zoners use different types of projectiles and long ranged moves to mix the opponent from afar. If you actually lose to spammers then all of your "effort" is not excecated properly. Zoners have effort, because they need to be use the projectiles and smart fashion. So if you lose to a spammer and not to an actual Zoner, that's entirely on you, not them, and if you are calling for ban for this, you only hurting the game, not helping it.

      @@RoyArkon I think what he’s saying is that if u play any non-zoned ur tools to deal w/ them are non-existent as most zoners have projectiles that u cannot dash through meaning that most zoners could win either by time out or hit and run strategies. It’s not that zoners are the problem but the fact there is no real way to punish them w/o putting way more effort then they are to keep u away.

      @@derrickbell5236 But adding a mechanic that can help you dash through projectiles is exactly what SHOULDN'T be done, unless if there is absolutely no other way to get in fast like teleports, because then everyone can just use it with no care at all. That's one of the things that hurt DBFZ as a competitive game, because it has the Super Dash (which BTW isn't tide to any resource and can even help chars move in ambiguous ways) on top of having either no cheap damage with the low-priority projectiles e or barely any of it with the high-priority ones as well as a universal teleport (Vanish). If there was a universal mechanic to get in on the opponent fast that neither a projectile-invincible or a universal teleport then it could work, that's why Mortal Kombat X did this so much better, as the Run mechanic was tied to the Stamina meter while also not being projectile-invincieble, and only few characters in that game can teleport (and some can only do it in specific Variations). Even if there are no teleports in the game at all and projectiles deal the right amount of chip damage, having a Super Dash-like mechanic that can help you to just go through projectiles and isn't tide to any resource is still very questionable because then everyone can just use it at any time and it only deletes more playstyles from the game, thus only hurting the game rather then helping it.

    Literally have been saying this for weeks. Zoning demons ruined the game. Everyone hated deidara in storm 2 for this exact reason, you couldn't get through his projectiles. And CC2 fixed this in storm 3 by making the chakra dash beat pretty much all of deidara's projectiles, making it much more balanced. But CC2 went backwards in this respect cuz you can't chakra dash through any of the zoning demons attacks. The fix would be making the chakra dash go through projectiles. That's it.

    Sadly even though it is a problem,i dont see a nerf coming because it is not like demons are crazy broken or hace an unfair advantage, and banning them just makes the game more boring because the ppl that enjoy playing demons or having a wide variety of characters can't have that anymore. I hardly doubt there is a solution that will make everyone happy.

      Look at the main one who would suffer the most Yanhaba (I can't spell his name for the life of me sorry. The Guy with Eyes on his hands)
      Look at what Globku said here 4:06
      Then think about what he said then now after that pause and think what a Chakra like dash would do to him as a character.
      It would effectively kill his approach or any level of Zoning. His basic attacks do no damage
      ONLY throw and The Arrows with Rocks on them. Now a mechanic in the game you can do is Dash Block or dash canceling (don't know the proper term excuse that)
      It's not that simple to add a dash thatt would in turn add priority to projectiles. So you can run through them.

    This video was helpful props to this guy but it made me realize that the demons are broken because they were broken in the anime/manga think about it tanjiro had a challenge fighting most of them but in the end he found the opening thread to each one that's what I think when I face demons in the game the only one I've had problems with was the temari girl this vid just helped me figure out a way to counter her so thanks again

    Tbh the main issue is this game is just wasted potential that wasn't worth the price fans paid for it I paid 54.99 and even thi enjoy demon slayer overall the story was short and had a few boring slow sections and there's lack of modes for those who don't enjoy playing player vs player after finishing the story mode

      @@rickyric7039 No not those although now that you bring it up because they are slow he is able to cheese. So let's say you both are at striking range, he can throw a projectile and either a - run towards you or B grab you. But let's say that when he throws it and runs towards you ,you hit him. You would think that it is your turn to hit back but no actually it's not because his us projectile is still active and because of that he takes back his turn. that's complete robbery.
      What I was referring to earlier was his command projectiles not his special move projectiles.

    What they should do is add more endlag to certain oppressive moves. Using a certain ranged move and be unsafe if opponent waits it out and then dashes in, but have them be safe when they combo into another one. But regardless at the very end of the last move its always unsafe, which means the zoners needs to save a bar to side dash and put their guard up. This would create a mix of options for both players in regards of safe projectile attacks and countering them.
    Zoners should be allowed to exist and work to a degree in a competitive environment, but they should not leave the opponent with a single option in order for them to counter (in this case the support skill).

    I'm going to be honest, I actually like playing Susamaru she's my main but at the same time I honestly hate zoners. I've never played/mained a zoner in any fight or arena fighter before. But not everyone likes to play demon slayers because then everyone will mostly be running the same characters with slight different assist. I don't care who disagrees with me but I will say that playing with demons is some of the most fun I've had while playing this game, WAY more than Slayers and that's my opinion.

      I think it is a bit short sighted to see the situation as "Oh they just hate zoners". Its an entire video here in your face explaining why the characters are banned and you ignored every point. They are zoners in a game with no way in the game to approach them aside from walking slowly and letting an assist do it for you in a roster of just close range melee characters. NRS games have really bad zoner balance but at least there is stuff in those games or counter pick options that you can apply. Demon Slayer has none of those.
      Take a deeper look at what you're talking about before just spewing fgc gatekeep bs.

    been saying this forever😭😭 range has little to no counters in this game. makes it insanely strong in a good players hands and extremely boring to fight for the most part. parries don’t even work against projectiles….💀👎🏽

    As someone who mains Yahaba i Can See why. I play more Aggro and sometimes Im the one who has to engage. Even if i don’t have to i dash into Them i still do it because its fun to have chaser Arriva behind me so i Can freely use grab. Still i don’t particularly like playing slayers because the assist feels awkward but still since i picked up Yahaba i have an 80% win rate instead of 50%. The only reason i don’t lose as often is because almost No one uses Yahaba in 3* and i have only ever played against 2.

    Glad to see someone look at both sides of playing and going up against demons. Personally, yahaba is nowhere near s tier however susamura is a huge problem. I don't know why but s lot of people are cheesing with susamura and it makes the game unfun. Respect for the beautiful video! Plus 1 sub

    While it is nice to see demons playable, we do have the problem of how they were bringing it a whole new playstyle in comparison to to how the majority of the cast mostly do the same thing with various differences (but none of them are really trying to zone as much as some demons do).
    And that lack of mechanics to deal with them (outside of what was pointed out) is kind of the reason why it feels there’s no counter to them and why some wouldn’t hesitate to dismiss them outright from competitive play.

    Just make a stall list, where every move is listed. For every Projectile listed in this 10-entry long list the next Projectile will have more endlag. So you can use Projectiles for chip damage and to slow the game for a moment, but you can´t spam them infinitly

    Or you can do what I do and just be aggressive and use your dodging for getting close and hit them for a combo and a possible special move with x or y or trangle depend on console but I found a cheap truck were if you can get close get them to a wall like you said with rangoku and just push in it's more fun then trying to wait for meter even tho you might have to for a few seconds as long as you can knock down an opponent it allows you a few seconds to get a good charge in to do a dodge and a specil

    I understand why people are mad about zoning but I wish this game wasn’t taken so serious just like how the community was going through the rengoku arc it’s a arena fighter so my expectations are already super low competitive wise and I think that’s what people should do 🤷🏽‍♂️
