I am looking for the Sara Lee commercial from the late 60s/early 70s that featured a statue in the Thinker pose coming to life to take a bite out of SL cake. That used to scare my brother so much that he had to close his eyes/ears !!
Haircuts don't lie - plus the "Nobody Doesn't Like Sara Lee" chorus ads ran until '71 at the very latest, and probably just to '70 ... so the B&W ads are late 60's and very early 70's: the color ad that's trying to sound like The Carpenters is '72 at the very latest, and probably earlier, like '71.

Mama Cass had a song out in late 1970 called "Don't Let the Good Life Pass You By". That's where they got the song from the color commercial from.
